My heart is colored sapphire,
solid and bold and determined.
Wrapped up with golden embellishments,
twirling and weaving it tight.
From there are my veins of ruby,
pumping liquid red determination.
My skin is rich amber,
shades of yellows and oranges to protect and heal.
My eyes are onyx and moonstone,
persistent and fearless towards the unpredictable world.
But beyond this all is my soul.
It glows white deep within me and all throughout me,
grounding me and keeping me kind.
When my next life comes, my gem body–
sapphire heart, ruby veins, amber skin, onyx and moonstone eyes–
will go,
but my soul will remain,
glowing white and glistening with pure hope
throughout my journeys to come.
