200 miles... 300 miles... Bella driving, Courtney sleeping. They stopped to get gas.
"Courtney," she she shakes her to wake her up.
"Yea?"
"Can you drive for a bit?"
"Yea. You need to rest, anyhow. We have a long way to travel."
"Okay. Thank you."
"No problem. That was the deal initially, wasn't it?"
"I suppose so." They get back in the car.
If you look around you could see cars and signs getting engulfed in currents. Only on this small back road was safe. The scenery was saddening. There were a few dead people who seemed to have been shot. There are terrible, terrible people in this world, especially now.
"Courtney. Hurry up and drive. This place won't be safe for long." Bella hops in the passengers seat.
A building starts to fall. you can hear the creaking of the building. Courtney hops in quickly and speeds away. The building crushes the gas station.
"That was close." Bella sighs.
"Yea. Two more minutes and we could have been crushed!" Courtney bites her lip.
