(Third Person POV)
Everyone decided that they were going to stay one more day at Sundew Island before leaving, since Shaw was still recovering even though he was out for, what, almost a week? Never mind that, everyone had agreed that they were going to have a beach party, so this is where Shaw's in a bad position
"Should I go in this?" he sighed when Koala showed him the 6th, or 7th swimsuit, hell he lost count
"Go in something, your comfortable in." she hummed to herself & dove into her closet "But nothing to revealing! I'll kill any man who looks at you with the wrong idea in their fucking heads!"
"I know I know." she giggled, she finds it cute that he's quite protective over her, it took a while but once she put it on she walked out & showed it to him "So, what do you think?"
"Alright, let's see." he sat up & couldn't help but blush as his jaw dropped
"Does it look good?" he swallowed thickly as he rubbed the back of his neck & pulled a thumbs up
"Y–You look gorgeous!" she smiled & set a floppy sunhat on her head
"This hat also matches, plus, its not that revealing!" she sung as she ran a hand across his jaw "See you outside~" his lip quivered a bit before he took off his clothes, threw on swim trunks & as he took off his shirt... he saw all the scars he gained
The burn mark Akainu left him 2 years ago, the blast Teach gave him & the recent one Akainu gave him again, even the stab mark on his shoulder
"Hey Shawn–kun, I think I le--" Koala cut herself off when she saw Shaw looking at his reflection with a blank stare, she gasped lightly when she saw the scars herself. She remembers the tattoo of the Whitebeard Pirates on his back, it was erased because of the massive scar "Oh hear, Shawn..."
She walked over to him, hugged him & kissed his back, he sniffed & grabbed her arms before turning around & pulling her into a hug. She felt all his other scars & cringed a bit, those must have been pretty damn painful
"I–I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get all emotional. Its just, I can't s–stop thinking back on that bloody day...!" he said as he tightened his grip on her, she set him down again & grabbed something, he looked at her confused until she threw him a basic open shirt, yet it was similar to Franky's cause it was a hawaiian shirt
"Put it on!" he did but left it open with his sleeves rolled up "Now we'll only be able to see that one scar!" he sniffed again & wiped away the tears that were swelling up
"Thanks Koala..."
"It was no problem!"
(Time Skip)
Shaw was currently lying down on a beach chair & sitting beside him was Luke, & them being twins though it'd be funny if they wore the same thing, so they did, but Luke wore a blue hawaiian shirt while Shaw wore a red one. They both wore shades so they fist bump each other before laughing, soon enough Will walks up to them
"Hows the leg doing?" he asked, Luke lifted up his sunglasses & looked at Shaw's metal prosthetic leg
"I won't be going into the water any time soon, so I think it'll be all goods." he nodded
"If you change your mind..."
"I'll come to you." Will smiled at him before joining Valor again, Shaw sighed happily & leaned back into his chair "I'm kinda glad I met you Luke, if not, I don't think I'd be enjoying myself right now."
"Agreed." suddenly they hear screaming so they both sat up & pulled their shades down at the same time & saw Nami, Usopp & Chopper screaming at the dark purple hydra
"Oh dear."
"I'll handle this." Luke nodded & sat back down while Shaw got up & walked over to Mangle "Mangle dear, what are you doing?" he asked as the Weakling Trio jumped onto him in fear
"She was trying to eat us!"
"She's so scary!"
"I wasn't, it just looks like you were having fun."
"Can I join in? Its rather lonely."
"You have the sea kings, & multiple heads! How are you lonely?"
"I like spending time with you & Will."
"You guys are more fun."
"Can I join, pretty please?" Shaw chuckled to himself
"Of course you can, let me just... Henka Suru: Ningen!" she shrunk down into a human & was, actually, Shaw's actual height, she had purple hair & ONE head, not 3 or 6 or 100
"Its so weird with one head." she said as she looked down at Shaw, she crouched down but sat down & looked down at him with a poker face
"Don't worry, whenever you want to join in when we're having a party I'll turn you into this so you don't scare anyone that think your bad." she smiled at him, it was a very sweet smile
"Thank you, Shawn-kun." Zoro & Marco walked up to him & he smiled a bit
"She's so cute." they look at him weirdly
"She's a hydra."
"& your a ball of moss & your a walking pineapple." & he walked back to his seat while they yelled at him. Just as he sat down, a familiar woman with long blonde hair & freckles walked over to the twins "How can we help you, Marilyn?" she looked down sadly & rubbed her arm
"All I wanted was to say sorry, & that I was worried that you weren't waking up from that coma." he rolled his eyes, like hell she was "I know you don't believe me, & that you hate me so much right now, but as your mother, I do love you so dearly."
"She's telling the truth." Luke muttered "I hate her too *hey!* right now, but she was bawling her eyes out when you didn't wake up. & did you hear her speech she said when she found out you were out before you went to kill that admiral."
"Really...?" she nodded, he looked at Luke before nudging his head over to her, he understood so they both stood up
"What are you--" she was cut off when they both hugged her, she started tearing up but smiled & hugged them back "I'm sorry."
"There's no need to apologize, but it'll take me sometime to fully forgive you."
"I understand." the three sat together & actually had a civilized conversation, no swearing, no arguing, they were like an actual family. They laughed together but suddenly something was thrown their way, & Shaw easily caught
"A pineapple?" he asked
"Shaw! Give it here before Marco kills me!" Thatch yelled, Shaw laughed & threw it over to him
"Make a pie out of it! Then throw it at him!"
"Will do!"
"Don't do it!" everyone laughed as Marco chased Thatch around as he carried the pineapple
"Are your friends always like this?" Marilyn asked, Shaw nodded & ran a hand through his hair
"Of course they are, if they weren't, it'd be pretty boring." suddenly Luffy flung himself over to where the trio were & was grinning when Brook was following behind him "What is it that you need, Luffy?"
"Play us a song!"
"What?"
"You heard me! Brook has already played us his songs to many times, I wanna hear one of yours!" Brook had finally caught up to him & was taking deep breaths
"Now now Luffy-san, lets not ruin Shaw-san's time with his family."
"Oh I don't mind, if it means he'll stop bothering me, sure." Luffy cheered & shoved Shaw out of his seat & dragged him to where everyone one else was "So, what would you like me to play?"
"Anything!" Shaw just shook his head before thinking, he got an idea & grabbed Brook's guitar
"You wouldn't mind, would you?"
"Of course not!"

"That was amazing!!" Luffy cheered, everyone started clapping & soon enough Thatch wrapped his arm around the blonde
"You still haven't lost that touch to play instruments, have you?" Shaw shook his head
"Course not, I can play anything I get my hands on." he said, Thatch rolled his eyes & playfully shoved him
"We get it, dude." the day turned into night & Usopp & Franky had set off things they had made, they set off fireworks that let up the sky. He was sitting on a mat & watched the sky in wonder when Koala sat next to him, he smiled & wrap an arm around her & leaned his head against hers
"I've never felt so, relieved in my entire life."
"You could say that again." he caressed his cheek onto hers & she giggled, she leaned away & he pouted only to feel that she pecked his lips, he blushed & laughed sheepishly
"Papa!" he looked over & saw that Torch called his name, Koala gave him a look
"I can explain."
"No no, Will-san already did. Apparently they imprinted on you & they think your their papa?"
"Basically, yes." Torch slid in between the couple & snuggled into them
"Papa? Is she our mama?"
"Um...--"
"As a matter of fact, I am, but please call me Koala. Calling me Mama makes me feel old." Shaw chuckled at that, Koala glared at him & punched his shoulder "What? Its true!"
"Okay okay, I'm only teasing!" Torch grinned & hugged them as they kissed
"Ew, yuck! That's gross papa!" he leaned away & looked to see that Spark was cringing at the fact he kissed Koala while Frost looked away, embarrassed
"Lets leave them be, Spark, you too Torch!"
"Whaat! No way!" but it was to late, Frost picked them both up & dragged them away
"They are so adorable, Shawn-kun." Shaw laughed again
"I know."
"Hey you guys! Group photo!" Franky called, everyone went to where Shaw & Koala were & did a pose. Koala laughed & did a silly face while Shaw kissed her cheek but looked at the camera & did the peace sign. Robin used her ability so Franky would get in the photo as well but Alex was beside her & was kissing the back of her neck
