"Okay Nancy, the nurses got you all set right?"
"Yes" she said
She been holding my hands and I was nervous. I couldn't let her know but I'm sure she knew.
The doctor had gotten himself set and now it was time to start pushing.
"You nervous?" The nurse asked
The other nurse was bringing in the thing the baby was gonna be in.
"Yeah" Nancy said
"Just realize when you finish your baby will be here" the doctor said looking at us
I stood up once the instructions were given to her.
"Alright mom start pushing, give it your all"
"You got this Nancy" I said rubbing my thumb on her hand
She nodded and leaned forward pushing. She was crushing a nigga's hand
"1 2 3" one nurse counted
"Push push push push" the other nurse said
"5 6 7"
"Good job, Nancy our son is almost here" I said trying to be motivational
The nurse got to 10 and when I said that the doctor looked at me. Nancy let go of me so I went by the doctor's side to see.
When I tell you a nigga almost fainted I almost fainted.
"Oh hell no" I said looking away quickly
They all laughed as Nancy was still breathing.
"Alright mom" the nurse said
Nancy was ready. She took a deep breath clinging on to my hand pushing.
"3 4 5 6"
"Almost out c'mon "
"7 8 9 10"
"Nancy... he almost there" I said with a smile
She smiled with her face all red.
"This baby is ready. No hesitations" the nurse said
I chuckled
"I think this will be the last push you have to do" Dr. Bradley said
Nancy nodded getting back into position. Her face was red with tears already forming.
"C'mon let's go Nancy our son is almost here"
She nodded as tears slipped, she laid back down crying.
"Nancy you have to push" the nurse said
"Its okay" I said to her
"Im gonna be a mom, Fizz"She said
"Yeah Nancy now push"
"I wanna name him Michael after your dad" she said and then she squeezed my hand screaming as she pushed
My heart thumped as my mind went blank.
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Nancy cried and I seen the baby in the doctor's arm. They put him on Nancy as Nancy cried holding him.
My eyes filled with tears.
"Congratulations Nancy you are the mother to a baby girl" Dr. Bradley said
"What?"I asked
The baby was taken away by nurses. Nancy cried harder and I started crying.
"Yo I hate Arielle" she said through her cries. I bent down hugging
"You did it" I said
"No Fizz we did it" she said
I pulled away and she pecked my lips continuously. I pecked them back as she and I cried. It was a special moment.

I watched as Nancy held her.
"You wanna hold her?" She asked looking at me
I bit my lip then nodded. I stood up and took her from her arms.
She was gorgeous. I looked at her blink her eyes in front of me and I smiled.
"Already a daddy's girl" Nancy said
"This is mine?" I asked still shocked
Nancy smiled. I rocked her back and forth slowly and gently.
"Look what we created" Nancy said
"Wow" I said, "a girl" I was still in shock
"Right. I bought my mad boy stuff for this luh baby to be a boy"she said
"Exactly" I said holding her
"Now we gotta let them go to waste" Nancy said
"Go to waste? My daughter finna be swagged out with all them kicks she got" I said
She yawned in my face
"Oh you tired baybeh" I said
"Better be tired after feeding her all that breast milk. What are we namin' her Fizz?" Nancy asked looking at me
"You can name her" I said
"I want you to name her" she said
We both looked at her and I stood there thinking.
Mya
That was the only name that was popping in my head.
"Gianna?" She asked
"Nah it's too, practical" I said, "She don't even look like a Gianna" I added
"What about Mya" I said to her
I was sitting besides her on the bed. She looked at the baby.
"Mya" she looked at her then said it again, "Mya"
"Let's keep it in mind. So that's option one"
"Janae?" She asked
"I don't know, Nancy this hard," I looked out the window
"I know" She said with a grin on her face, "like this what her name will be for the rest of her life"
"What if we name her after a car? You know like Mercedes or Lexus?"
Nancy sat up, "No I dont really like car names"
I sighed looking out the window thinking.
"Alexis... it sorta sounds like Lexus" she said
"Nah I don't want any car name for her anymore" I said shaking my head, it was too simple
I held her watching her start to fall asleep.
"Maybe we could name her after like jewelry? Diamond... actually never mi--"
"Sounds like a stripper name" I quickly stated
"That's exactly why I changed my mind. Player's Club" she laughed referring to the movie
"Chanel?" She asked
I shook my head
"I got a friend name Chanel" I said, "she actually my cousin" I added
"Oh okay. You think of a name for my precious pumpkin... oou what about Precious!" She exclaimed
I looked at her, "don't even go thea' " I warned
"Precious was amazing. What is it cause she named after someone who was fat in a movie, really Fizz ?"
"I ain't say that, you did" I said
"Bet you were thinking it" she stated
She was right I was. I looked at my daughter, damn that felt weird to say.
"Skye" I said lowly
Her eyes opened and then she closed her eyes again.
"Skye?" I asked Nancy
"I like it where'd you get it from?"
I shrugged, "ion know"
"What about Skylar!"
"Why you shouting bruh you gon wake her up"
I seen Skye's lips quiver as she started crying loudly.
I sighed standing up. She cried for prolly two minutes until she started quieting down.
"Mom, dad, do you have a name?" The nurse asked with a card in her hand.
"Skylar Janae-Mya O'Neil"
Nancy spelled it out for the nurse as I side eyed her.
"Ion know what yo mama doin but I'm callin you Skye"
"That's such a beautiful name for such a beautiful baby" the nurse said with a smile
Nancy thanked her as she walked off.
The door opened again and I seen a few nurses holding a gift basket filled with pink everywhere.
"Special delivery!!" They held the bag all together and I smiled they so nice.
"When Arielle found out what the sex of the baby was she couldn't wait to prank you " one nurse said looking at me
"Here" one of them said holding the iPad
Nancy took it and they set the bag on the table. They all congratulated us then walked away.
I held Skye in my arms while Nancy pressed play.
Arielle appeared on the screen holding an envelop.
"Can I open it?" She looked up at the camera
"Yes" someone said in the background.
She smiled and I bit my lip watching.
"Oh boy" she said
She started jumping before she even opened it.
"I'm nervous, I'm scared!" She exclaimed all jumpy
People laughed in the background and Nancy and I laughed a little
"Ight" She said taking the paper
"And the results reveal FIZZ YOU ARE NOT THE FATHER!"
The nurses in the video laughed and Nancy shook her head, "This girl"
"Always on something" I stated lowly
She read the paper
"Dang it says everything on this" she said reading
"99.99% Marcel O'Neil. Ooohkay but what does the other .1% mean... Nancy, girl, you messin around too?" She asked looking at the camera
She winked, "our little secret, boys are stupid anyways. Like look at me, I cheated and no one knows still to this day"
The nurses laughed and the camera shook.
"Stop playing and read the results" the nurse said
"Okay okay..." She paused for a second reading
"I fuckin' knew this shit was finna happen" She said then she quickly covered her mouth, "I'm sorry I ain't mean to say that"
* the video went black then she appeared on the screen.
"Fizz you play too much so I'm getting you back !" She yelled
"You're gonna say it's a boy?"
"Yea," she was about to put the envelope in her purse then she shook her head, "No y'all keep it cause if I'm around him he's gonna start snooping. Can y'all actually print me out one that says boy"
"Of course"
*screen went black again*
Then it showed Arielle again. This time she was sitting on a chair alone.
"Fizz and Nancy y'all are parents. Fizz I've known you for two years now... two years we went through our arguments, partying, drinking, smoking, more arguments, crying, you getting arrested, me too! And a lot more" her eyes started filling up with tears
"Damn now I'm gettin emotional" she took a paper blowing it on her face
"Ight so imma make this breif cause you holding a newborn baby girl. You're really like a big brother to me, physically and mentally. I don't think you realize how important you are to me. I swear you my mufuckin backbone, stuck around with me through thick and thin and I am so thankful. " She sniffed wiping her eyes,
"You brought new life into this world and it's amazing cause you the nigga that always stay strapped" she smiled and I smiled as well
"Tell baybeh girl Auntie Ari says HI!!" She exclaimed
"Nancy I only knew you as the girl FIZZ messed with but then once I found out you were pregnant and got to know you, it was like damn, you're pretty TIGHT, like really. I think you're gonna make a great mama. Fizz you're obviously gon be a great dad even if it's a girl, maybe you'll start being nicer"
She took a long paused then laugh
"I can't stand her, bruh"
"Fizz? Bein nice to people?" She slapped her knee laughing
Nancy shook her head
"Anywwhooo lemme let y'all continue your parenting. Love both y'all new parents!" She said
"I made this video cause I knew I wasn't gonna be there for the birth, but don't think I'm missin out cause I'm thea in spirit. Love y'all. Tell my luh munchkin I love ha too"
"Lemme give her a kiss"
She stood up and kissed the camera then waved, "bye yall"
