I was down on my knees praying. Praying for things to get better, praying for life to get better, praying for the people around me to heal. Just prayed that light will come again.
Fizz
I knocked on her door and waited. I was about to knock again when her roommate opened the door.
"Oh.. hello" she said
"Hey, can I see Nancy?" I asked
"Fizz, right?" She asked
I nodded
"Yeah"
"...she doesn't want to see you, I'm sorry" she was about to close the door but I stopped her
"Please, I just need to talk to her."
She sighed looking at me.
"Hold on, lemme go ask" she closed the door and I waited in silence
The door opened and her roommate appeared.
"I'm sorry."
It was silent and she was about to close the door again until I stopped her.
"C-can you just give these to her" I held the box of pizza and salad giving it to her and then I handed her the bag.
"That's it right?" She asked
"Yea.. I have more stuff but I'll drop them by another time" she nodded
I thanked her then she closed the door. I walked to my cat and once I was inside I banged my hand on the steering wheel multiple times outta frustration.
My head leaned on the steering as I pouted. Judge me all you want but I fucked up. Bad. Now I got a son in the way that I won't be able to see.
I buckled my seatbelt and drove off turning the radio on. I called Kim multiple times for the past few days but she's been ignoring me. I pulled my phone out and dialed her number again today.
"This number had been disconnected"
I drove silently listening to the radio
"Arielle Aslina called to court again. Judge reopens case between officer Norman and Jamal Evans"
I frowned

"Amen" we all said letting go of one another's hands.
We all were seated around the table in silence. Just silverware moved. Wilson was gone. His mother finally took him. But right now, I kinda wish he was here just so that something would be happening.
I seen Jesus stand up and was about to walk away until I looked at him.
"Jesus where are you going?" I asked
"I'm not hungry" he said getting ready to walk off
"Yea me neither" Tyla said standing up
"Both of you sit down." Dontell said
They looked at him
"We are a family. It's dinner. We sit together, we eat together" I said
"How are we a family if one is missing" Jesus mumbled
"Boy you betta watch yo mouth at this table" Darnell warned
I found it so sexy when Darnell talked like that. He always had the Hispanic in him but like when we were younger whenever he was angry he'd be more hood with a luh bit of Hispanic but mostly hood. Ever since we got back together I was waiting for him to just start turning hood on everyone. He'd do it sometimes, but that was only when he was around me. When he was around everyone else he'd just be regular.
For a man to have Jamaican, Hispanic, and that New Orleans in his DNA he can't be that regular.
Jesus and Tyla sat and I looked at Dontell. He caught me looking and I bit my lip looking at my food. I chewed my rice and looked at Jesus and Tyla again.
I stretched grabbing the rice Jesus liked putting some on his plate.
"And we are a family. Arielle's missing okay, but that's not gonna stop us from acting like one"
"I miss Arielle when is she coming?" Xavier asked looking at me
I took sauce dumping it on Jesus's plate
"You know Xavier I'm not sure" I said
I took the meat and put it on his plate as well as the plantains.
"She's mad at us" Tyla said
I stopped everything I was doing and took a deep breath.
"Y'all I know you all wanna know what's going on with Ari, and its crazy cause we wanna know too" Keyanna said
"We can't speak for Ari nor everyone else but I've done some things that weren't things mom's should do. It hurt Arielle deeply and mama didn't know that" she explained to her kids, especially Xavier who was looking at her with his big brown eyes.
"So Arielle is just spending some time with herself" Keyanna sniffed wiping the tear that slipped from her eyes
"Why did you hurt her mommy?" Xavier asked looking at Keyanna
"Xa--" Stacy was quickly cut off by Keyanna
"Mommy didn't know. It was an accident, but s-she's sorry. Really, really sorry" Keyanna broke down but Dominique who was by her side held her trying to calm her down. Next thing I know the both of them were crying in one anothers arms.
Xavier went over to them apologizing thinking it was his fault as to why they were like this but they just held him.
Next thing I know Kayden was crying her eyes out, then I was crying my eyes out but each of us had someone by us who held on and comforted us.
We were finally being a family.
Geo
Kim came to my place a few weeks ago telling me how sorry she was. Fizz told her everything.
I wanted to accept her apology but I couldn't . I told her. I told her how I wasn't with that shit and how she just been causing way too much shit to pop off in my life. She told me she understood but just looking into her eyes and seeing her cry in front of me was so hard.
But we ended it at that. We done. Like really done. No more. Nada.
Why was I still having these feelings for her? Like they were strong. Stronger then ever. Everything I did it just reminded me of her.
I sat on my couch playing video games alone when I thought of her.
Flashback
"Ha guess who the fuck one"
"Man whatever I was being easy on you"
"Nah face it Cleveland ain't shit compared to Golden State" she smiled
I looked at her and her smile widened, "see you believe me now huh"
"Nah I just don't get how someone like you ain't a Cleveland fan" she shrugged, "well I use to ball so I mean a baller knows what team is the best"
"Get the fuck outta hea' Kim"I chuckled
"What ? That's just how it is" she shrugged
"So you sayin a soccer player don't know shit?" I asked looking her in the eye
She turned to me and her face was inches away from mine.
"That's exactly what she fuckin' sayin" Fizz said causing her to pull away
He sat on the other chair with a bowl full of cereal.
"Nobody fuckin asked you" I said
"Rude" She said backing up more. She put her feet on my lap laying on the couch.
"Kim I don't get why you fuck with this phony ass nigga you see how mean he is"
I put the tv on live tv going on on demand.
"If I'm so mean then why the fuck you show yo ass back up hea' "
"See what I mean?" Fizz asked her
She hit me with her foot.
"Stop bein so mean"
I snatched her by the foot, and FIZZ stood up going back to kitchen.
I heard her giggles, "Stop you know I'm ticklish"
I smiled pushing her foot away.
"Noo Geo massage them"
"Hell naw I'm not about to massage them nasty ass toes"
"If it were you I'd do it."
"Oh really" I pulled my joggers up and put my foot on her.
"Do it then"
She looked at my foot then me.
"You serious?"
I took it off her, "exactly"
"If you ain't gon do mine then don't ask me to do yours" she sucked her teeth snatching my foot and massaging it
"Aye it needs height. The blood needs to flow properly" I said
"Oh shut the fuck up Geo"
I smiled as she put it on her lap massaging it
"You lucky I kept my socks on"
Arielle
"I just was jealous of you. Popular, pretty, athletic.. I don't know, and then next thing I know Jamal who was suppose to be with me after school that day was in a coma and I just had this anger built in me. This was the second thing you ruined for me. First Geo and then Jamal. Yea none of them was a serious thing in my life but it pissed me off"
"It pissed you off that much to do all those things to me?" I asked looking at Kiara
She nodded
"And no one understood. I was just alone moping for days. Do you know how it feels to be hurt about a guy and not have one single person understand?" She asked me
I bit my lip holding back my tears.
"I really appreciate you reaching out to me. Even after everything me and my brothers did to you and Kayden. It wasn't fair and it was rude and selfish. What happened to you when you performed had nothing to do with us tho" she said
She was referring to my arm and foot. I knew she had nothing to do with that.
"Please forgive me, Arielle. You don't get how bad I feel now. During court I'll tell the judge the whole truth I promise" she was holding my hand crying as we sat at the coffee shop.
I moved my hand away and stood up walking out.
Geo
"I don't even wanna go to this shit tonight." Fizz said putting his shoe on and tying it
I looked in the mirror fixing my tie.
"Work is work" I simply said
I missed out on three shows that happened the passed few weeks and that was only cause I didn't wanna run into Kim even though there was like no chance she'd show up. Each show I missed she wasn't at any.
"Aye turn the volume up" Fizz said
I looked at the tv and seen the people on channel 7 news
"Jamal Evans is a freeman when and if he wakes up. Community service dropped along with all the charges dropped on him."
"...people there state Arielle was filled with joy and she even had a few tears slip"
"Nigga when they announced this shit earlier today my mama and I had a fuckin parade" Fizz said
I smiled. Fizz and his mama worked out their differences cause at the end of the day that's Fizz's mama and even if Fizz ain't gon make the right decisions he still entering a son into this world.
"I ain't gon lie I was turnt up hea too"
"Our brotha finally got his fuckin rights" FIZZ said stretching and dapping me up
"I'm still surprised this shit happened"
"You gotta thank him up dea' " Fizz said pointing up referring to God
"I know, that's the real og" I said fixing up my suit
"Shit I won't even be surprised if Raquel played a role in this" I added
"Is it weird I was thinking the same thing. Shit Kim too she always finding a way"
I was silent as I sprayed my cologne on.
"Minutes after this news was released earlier footage of singer Arielle Alsina was released. Warning it's graphic"
I wasn't gonna look but I was curious.
I watched as it was a survalienece camera. It looked like it was inside an apartment complex or a condo.
I watched it squinting my eyes.
"Bruh what the fuck" FIZZ said
That's when I seen all the people surrounding her start banging on her. Kicked, punched, my eyes widen in shock.
"What the fuck!" Fizz and I said an illusion
"Yes, that is singer Arielle Alsina this footage was released minutes after it was announced Jamal would not be facing any charges nor community service."
"Who the fuck did that shit to her" FIZZ said yelling while standing
"Shhh"
"Nah I'm not about to shh do you not see that shit!" He yelled
"Shut the fuck up man"
"This did not happen recently apparently it happened over three months ago in the singer's home in Atlanta. The people in the video have been identified as relatives to Kiara"
"Those were ha' fuckin brothers that did that shit"
"... No one knew about it apparently. The singer never mentioned it to anyone. Diddy took to Twitter after everyone was questioning the situation. He informed everyone that he didn't know about this and he found out when everyone else did."
My heart was crushed. Crushed. Fizz was pacing going back and forth and I sat on the couch with a stale face trying to take this in.
Arielle
I sat on the chair holding his hands.
"Jamal I did it. What am I talking about I did it? We did it" I smiled
"This was all you." I stood up and swallowed the tears slipping from my face.
"I don't have much time but... I wanted to stop by and tell you that I'll be gone for a luh bit. I just need to get some fresh air and isolate my self from everyone. Just need to focus on me and Armani now." I smiled
"I'm nervous to pick her up from child protective service.. I'm nervous. What if she doesn't want anything to do with me." I sighed
"We gon go to Jamaica for a little while. " I said, "but that don't mean we gon forget you. You need to push yourself Jamal. We'll be waiting. Your a freeman, I told you you would be. Now that you are, you need to wake up. We all waiting, just don't give up please"
I held his hand pushing his curly hair out the way, I bent down kissing his forehead.
I felt a squeeze on my hand and my heart dropped as I looked at him
