It has been about a week since we all started aura training, and started training our Pokemon with RJ. After a week of hardcore training and battling, my team was looking even better now, and I learned every aura trick that RJ had taught me.
As for Lillie, she had finally shown off her team to me. She had a:
Wartortle- male
Pidgeotto- female
Eevee- female
Ponyta- male
Butterfree- female
She had gotten in some training as well, and most of her team was close to evolving. As for her aura, she has progressed well, and has learned many new tricks. However, she still has a ways to go to master it.
After getting up one morning, Lillie said she had something to ask me. After eating breakfast, we were walking over to our training field when she stopped suddenly.
"Lillie, what is it?" I asked concerned.
She looked me in the eyes. "Sun, you know I have to go back to Kanto tomorrow, right?"
I froze. I had completely forgot. "I forgot about that. What will you do?"
"Well Sun, this is what I want to ask you. Would you come with me to Kanto? I don't want to leave you out of nowhere again."
I wanted to say yes right on the spot, but there was 1 thing holding me back from responding.
"Lillie, what about the Pokemon League. I am still Champion there, and I don't know what they would say." I responded.
She smiled. "Well, I got that taken care of."
I was lost. "Huh? What do you mean?"
She pulled out a paper from her bag. "Me and your mom contacted the league not too long ago. They said it was alright for you to leave, but you have to assign a champion in your absence."
I was surprised for a second. "My mom is ok with this?"
"Yeah. She is helping get a few things together for you for when we leave."
That's nice of her. "Ok. Let me see the paper."
After handing me the paper, I looked through all of it. It wasn't much. All it was saying is that if I am leaving, then if something happens in Alola, then I must come back immediately. It also has a part where I appoint a new champion.
After heavy thinking, I went with Hau, since most other people are busy with certain other things.
After filling out the paper, Lillie and I went to our spot where RJ was waiting. He looked slightly upset.
"Hey guys. You ready to train some more?" He asked glumly.
"Ok RJ, you are making this obvious. What is wrong?" I asked.
He looked down. "I have to leave for Kanto tomorrow so I can help the people at Indigo Plateau. I want to stay here, but they say it's urgent."
I chuckled. "Well that's funny."
He glared. "How so?"
"Because Lillie and I are leaving on the same boat tomorrow. We are going to battle the gym leaders."
He laughed. "So you two little lovebirds are finally going after Kanto. That's gonna be fun to see. You two will take it by storm."
"Thanks RJ. I at least hope we will be strong enough to take out Team Rocket. I know they are from Kanto originally, so I am pretty sure we will run into them." I stated.
"No doubt you will. They probably will be after you still, so be careful. You both are strong enough to take them." He said reassuringly.
After finishing our training for the day, RJ said that he had to go pack up his things and be ready tomorrow, so he gave us the day alone together.
"So what do you want to do?" Lillie asked after RJ left.
I smiled. "Let's go look around the islands one more time. After all, we may not be back for a while."
"Good idea. Let's go to the Ruins of Conflict first."
After flying to the ruins, we looked at the bridge one more time, and went inside the ruins.
Once we were inside, we walked through the ruins and got up to the alter for Tapu Koko.
Lillie grabbed my hand. "I remember when you battled Tapu Koko here. You finally caught him here as well."
"One thing that you didn't know Lillie, is that I caught the rest of the Tapu's as well."
Her eyes widened. "Really? What do they do since they are part of your team?"
"Well, they still do their island diety stuff, but when I need one of them, they come to me with little hesitation. I don't plan on bringing them with us to Kanto."
"Ok. That all makes more sense."
After visiting the ruins, we go to Aether Paradise to visit Gladion before tomorrow. Once we show up, we explain the plan.
Gladion shakes his head. "So you're both leaving this time. Can't say I didn't see this coming, but I envy you both. I really want to go on a new adventure with Silvally, but I am stuck here. I will miss you both."
Lillie hugs her brother. "I would ask you to come with us, but I know you still have to run Aether Paradise."
"Just promise you both won't take too long. I don't think I can stand Hau alone without some backup."
We laughed over the thought of that. "Well good luck you two. I will hopefully see you both soon." He said.
I nodded. "Yeah. We will come back to Alola once we're done. I promise that for sure."
After saying goodbye to Gladion, we flew over to Hau's place to tell him what he is doing. I hope he's ok with being champion for me.
I figured he would be home right now, and I was right. We saw him over on the platform at Iki town, training his Pokemon. "Hey Hau." I called out to him.
He turned around. "What's up?"
Lillie looked at him. "Well we need to tell you a few things."
He looked surprised slightly. "Ok... what is it?"
I walked up some. "Well, me and Lillie are going to Kanto tomorrow."
He got upset. "Again already? And you are going with her Sun? But what about your champion title?"
"Well that's what we came here to ask you. I am allowed to assign a champion in my absence. Would you be willing to do this for me?" I asked him.
He looked stunned for a moment, but eventually responded. "Sure Sun. I will do this for you. I won't let anyone take the title while you are gone."
I laughed. "Well I believe it. Give it everything you got Hau. Thanks for doing this."
"No problem. Just don't take too long in Kanto. I will miss both of you."
"Don't worry. We will be back as soon as possible."
After talking with him for a while, we flew over to the Marina and looked at the Alola sunset for one last time.
We held hands together as the sun slowly began to set in front of us.
She leaned on my shoulder. "Just one more day, and we leave for Kanto. One more day, and we go on our own adventure together."
I smiled. "Yeah. We will do great. Those gym leaders don't stand a chance."
She looked towards me. "Hey Sun?"
"What is it?"
"Promise me that we both will stay together. I can't bare the thought of you not being with me. So promise me we won't ever leave each other."
I pulled her into a kiss on the lips. A looooong kiss. After we finally finished, I spoke up. "I promise you Lillie."
After standing there for a bit longer, we decide it's time to get some rest. We decide to make the long walk home so we could enjoy the sights we wouldn't see for a good while.
After arriving home, my mother was sitting down with Meowth and watching a Pokemon Showcase on tv.
"Oh hello honey. Hello Lillie. I assume you both know what you are both up to tomorrow, right?" She asked.
"Yeah. She explained it all to me. I am going to Kanto."
"That's great Sun. I hope you two have fun." She smiled.
We had a dinner of my favorite food. Lasagna. I knew I was going to miss this as well.
I looked at my watch, and saw that it was about 8:35. "Hey Lillie, when is our boat leaving tomorrow?"
She looked at the tickets. "It says here it leaves around 9 o'clock tomorrow."
"Maybe we should go to bed. Get an early start tomorrow."
After going to bed, we both sat up restless for a while.
"Hey Sun?"
I looked towards her. "Yeah?"
"I hope you don't mind. I met a girl back in Kanto who is really nice. If it isn't a bother, when we go to Pallet, can we stay with her for a night or two?" She asked.
I didn't have a plan myself so this seemed like the right idea. "Yeah we can. I don't have a plan past visiting Professor Oak."
"Thanks, Sun." She pulled me into a kiss.
That almost caught me off guard. "Well thank you Lillie."
She giggled and snuggled up to me. "I love you too. Goodnight."
As we fell asleep, little did she know I had one little surprise planned for her the next morning...
Honestly, I don't think I did too well with this chapter, but I didn't know how else to portray it. I am sorry if this was bad. I felt like I got hit by writers block on this one.
