Throughout the day my thoughts grapple with one another, raging in a war with the outcome being inconclusive.

In one corner of my mind I think that Harry can protect himself, and I'd literally be a helpless creature surrounded by a pack of wolves.

Then again, if something were to happen to him, and I wasn't there to prevent it from happening, I would regret not taking action for as long as I live.

I groan out loud, actually wanting to scream but the whole building would probably come knocking at me door in an annoyed rage. Why must I always over react over every little thing? I wish I wasn't so curious over everything, always trying to find answers.

The ring of my phone stops my thoughts, reaching over I pick it up and answer, "Hello." I snap unintentionally.

My mother's voice comes through the line, "I hope that's not how you answer the phone for everyone who calls you." She says in a scolding tone.

"Sorry, it's been a busy day." I lie, it hasn't been busy I've just been distracted.

"Well that's college for you, how's everything been going? Your father and I have been thinking about visiting you again soon, we miss you." She says in a sad tone.

"I miss you both as well." I say genuinely, I really do miss my parents and all of their overbearing ways.

"Your father is taking the phone from me, I'll call you again soon sweetie." I hear muffling in the background, the phone being transferred between them.

"Leah, how are your grades?" My father questions, and I laugh at how he doesn't even ask about my well being. He's always been all about education, working hard in school for a bright future was his motto.

"My grades are just fine, thanks for asking." I say, trying to hide the annoyance building up inside.

"That's good honey, staying away from boys?" My heart races at his question, could he possibly know about Harry? As I think, there's no possible way he would, especially being a good six hour drive away.

"Of course, dad. Schoolwork is my main focus, you know that." I lie, again. Never have I lied this much to my parents in my entire life. They raised me based off of the truth, and maybe now I'm just figuring out that sometimes telling the truth hurts the people around us rather than reassure.

"Your mother and I are about to go out to dinner, I'm taking her to your favorite Italian restaurant of all places." He says, and I become jealous with the idea of going to eat at the places I became so familiar with at home.

"Package me up some of their famous spaghetti and mail it here please." I say with a laugh.

"Arthur, let's go!" I can hear my mother say faintly in the background, she was never one to be late to anything.

"That's my cue, we'll talk to you soon sweetheart. Love you, bye." With that, the line went dead and I breathed out a sigh of relief. I glanced at the clock, it's almost seven o'clock and I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do.

A knock sounds at my door and I tell them to come in, resulting in Casey stepping inside. "You have any plans tonight?" She asks quickly.

"No, but I can make some?"

"Liam is coming over and I was hoping to be alone for an hour or two, you can take my car keys and go over to Harry's or something?" She suggests, clearly not wanting to force me to leave my own apartment.

"I can go, you and Liam want privacy, I understand." I get out of bed, putting back on my shoes from earlier and walking into the living room. There are candles lit all around the apartment, two plates set out on the counter along with utensils. "Are you making a romantic meal?" I ask, and Casey blushes furiously at my question.

"Something like that. He should be here any minute." She says, checking her phone to be sure.

"Just make sure you don't start any fires. I'll be back later, have fun." I say, grabbing her keys off the counter on my way out. Once finally outside and in Casey's car, I have no clue what I'm going to do and before I know it I'm driving to Harry's frat house.

You're going to regret this, my subconscious warns, but I ignore her. In about five minutes, I'm parked in front of the house, debating if I should go in or drive somewhere else.

All of the lights inside the house are on, illuminating the Greek letters just above the doorway. I never thought of Harry as one to join a fraternity, then again I never thought of him as a criminal either.

Just as I'm thinking of pulling away, the front door of the house opens, revealing none other than Harry with a duffel bag around his torso. He walks to his car, throwing the bag in the back before getting into the drivers seat. He doesn't notice me even as he drives past, down the road. Before I can think I'm turning the ignition, and following him. Just like I did over a month ago.

Two cars are kept between us, a barrier to hold back any suspicion. Harry makes several turns, and I have to wait until a new set of cars come behind him to begin following again. My palms sweat against the steering wheel, anxiety taking over. Just when I think I may have to turn around, Harry turns into the parking lot of a motel.

Its sign is hanging off the hinge, flickering on and off every few seconds. Newspaper fills every window of the vacant rooms, this place must have been shut down a while ago, although I'm not quite sure why the electricity remains on. In one of the rooms on the second floor, a light is on, showing through the paper trying to conceal it. I pull over on the side of the road, waiting until Harry walks up metal stairs and into the only lit up room to pull into the parking lot. I find a spot on the opposite side of where Harry's car is, there's no light on this side so I should be easily concealed.

Silence surrounds this place, it's creepy as hell if I really think about it, but I'd rather not. Instead, I pull out my phone to check the time, about ten minutes has already passed. Just when I lock it, someone knocks on my window, causing me to jump in shock. I look out of it to find a burly man, tattoos covering his face, he wears all black making him hard to make out. I quickly put the car in reverse, stepping on the gas, but it doesn't budge. He must've slashed the tires. As I make the realization the man smiles, bearing rotting yellow teeth which make me feel sick to my stomach.

He motions for me to get out of the car, and really I have no other choice. I open the door, stepping out of the car. "You're not a very smart girl." He says with a voice that sends chills down my spine. "We're going to have some fun with you tonight." He walks behind me, moving my hair to my shoulder.

Suddenly, I feel absolute anger and adrenaline rush through me. I elbow him, hitting his gut, but he barely seems fazed by it. He pulls a gun from his waistband and points it at me. "Walk." He instructs. My legs feel as if they may buckle at any second as I shuffle towards the motel's stairs. Tears begin to fill my eyes, but I quickly bite the inside of my cheek to make them go away. I was stupid enough to get myself into this mess, I must deal with the consequences.

We walk up the stairs, the barrel of his gun pushed into the small of my back. Eventually we make it to the same motel room Harry entered. The man knocks in some sort of code, the door swinging open. "Look what I found boss." He says proudly before forcing me to cross the threshold.

There are five men in the room, four of them look almost the same as the one that could shoot me at any moment, and then there's Harry. His green eyes pierce my own as he sits on a torn up couch. His fists are clenched, he's absolutely furious and it's all because of me. I did this.

"She's with me." He says roughly, standing up and harshly gripping my arm, most likely leaving some kind of marks.

"Well next time bring some more friends so all of us can have some fun." Says the man from behind me, finally taking the gun off of me. The other men in the room laugh, but Harry's face is unchanging.

Harry quickly tells them goodbye before dragging me out of the room and down the stairs, not slowing down as I struggle to keep up. Once we reach his car I can barely stand, leaning against the side of it before finally realizing what I've done.

This time I can't stop the tears from falling.

(I know some of you didn't want this to happen, but 1) curiosity is Leah's main fault and 2) I missed some drama, so yeah. By the way, this story is now in the top 50s for fan fiction and I literally couldn't be more grateful, you all are amazing.
