the waves were rough, and jungkook was sitting on the rock on the hill that slightly hovered above the water.
this was something he had always liked with busan; that the city was so close to the ocean. he had always admired the ocean, how powerful the waves could be and how much they actually could destroy being only water amazed him.
the sun was about to go down and disappear for the day, and jungkook wanted to go down and disappear as well. the though of disappearing had always been in his head – for years, actually.
sounds crazy, but it's the truth.
what was the purpose of life? he didn't have anything to live for. what was the purpose of growing up? maybe some moments are fun, but then you get old and die.
no, jungkook had never been optimistic.
he had one thing to live for, or well; a special someone. it sounds silly saying it like that, jungkook didn't like it.
he knew that taehyung – his special one, had the same thoughts and opinions as he did. and jungkook felt horrible, but the thought of them disappearing together had always lingered in his mind.
"why are you here?"
as soon as he was mentioned, taehyung had appeared. probably because the two had planned to meet here, but jungkook had forgotten the time.
"i'm waiting for you, and the waves are pretty," the younger explained, looking up at his boyfriend who looked at the waves.
"are you thinking like that again, jungkook?"
the older crossed his arms over his chest as he asked, and jungkook only shrugged.
"maybe."
taehyung took a seat next to him, and intertwined their fingers. "don't." jungkook looked at the older, the word getting his attention. "at least not yet." jungkook raised an eyebrow. "what?"
"you want to jump, right?"
when the older had said actually what jungkook had been thinking about – but using other words, the younger stared at him, feeling defeated.
"i-i-"
"don't."
jungkook looked away, back at the waves. the sun was disappearing more and more with every minute passing by, and he really felt the need to leave at the same time as the sun.
"i want to," he whispered. "what if we do it together?"
taehyung didn't seem surprised by the suggestion, but he looked unsure.
"jump together?"
"yes."
taehyung looked out at the ocean, the wind was becoming a little bit stronger and the sun was becoming less visible.
"do you really want that?"
"if you're with me, yes."
silence. taehyung was thinking. the grip around his hand tightened, and taehyung automatically looked up at the younger. a tear rolled down jungkook's cheek, and then a few more.
"i don't want to stay; but i don't wanna leave you behind."
the younger's words made taehyung's heart sting. taehyung knew how jungkook felt, and he also knew that he too felt the same way. taehyung didn't want to stay, but he still wasn't sure if leaving was a good idea.
the sun was nearly fully gone now, and the waves were hitting the rocks beneath them hardly. jump, the word appeared in taehyung's head. do it with him.
he looked back into jungkook's eyes, filled with tears and sadness.
jungkook didn't have a reason to stay, except for taehyung. but taehyung knew that jungkook would do it, whether if taehyung came with him or not.
but he couldn't let jungkook do it alone.
"okay."
taehyung stood up, still holding onto jungkook's hand. the younger followed. he felt peace, they both did. jungkook was crying, but he felt calm; safe. he knew he was safe, and he would forever be if he did this.
the stood at the edge, taehyung nervously looking down. the sun would be completely gone in a minute, and he didn't want to waste the time.
he leaned in, and gave jungkook a passionate kiss which the younger returned immediately. "i love you," taehyung breathed after pulling away, faces still close to each other.
"i love you too," jungkook whispered with a shaky voice. "and thank you."
and then, just as the sun was fully disappearing, they jumped, still holding hands.
both had tears in their eyes, but smiles on their faces.

i also just wrote this now, there are probably a few errors but i'm not in the mood to edit right now. i'm sorry for being like this but i've been sad lately, i apologise for the sometimes triggering one shots. i just tend to write those type of things when i am like i am at the moment.
