Chapter 54:A Story Can End But That Does Not Mean It Cannot Be Read Again.
I started shivering.
Coldness.
I couldn't move.
What?
My eyes shot open in sudden realisation. Luke. Ethan. Mess.
He sat opposite me as if he was watching me sleep, his face that I now see differently, gave me an apologetic smile.
I looked down. My hands and legs were tied with some rope that was hurting and bruising my skin.
Looking around, I was in an empty apartment. Nothing but two chairs.
"What the hell?"I muttered confused as he lay his jacket over me.
"I want you" Luke spoke seriously and a lump formed in my throat. Where's Ethan? Has he done anything to him?
"Ethan's fine. Well... he'll wake up in a few hours. By the time we get out of this country"
"Fuck you" I spat disgusted.
He frowned. "Blair I'm still Luke...don't pretend like I'm a different person" he whispered as he held my hand. I hesitated but I couldn't fucking move.
"You are" I turned my head so I wasn't looking at him. "You wouldn't kidnap someone you love unless this was a fucking werewolf story which it is not!"

"I've wanted to touch you so bad..."He ignored me as he ran his eyes up and down my body, pausing at my lips for what seemed like eternity.
"Don't you dare"I whispered scared.
"You always played hard to get and it's fucking sexy..."He hungrily whispered against my ears and a cold shiver went down my spine.
"Don't"I coldly gritted out.
He placed his hand on my cheek and brought out foreheads against eachother which was painful as the rope continues to burn against my skin.
His lips were getting closer to mine. What do I do?
Instinct took over and I head butted him.
"Mother of Jesus!"I shouted in excruciating pain, he did the same.
Then there was a knock.
"Was that necessary?"Luke rubbed his head with his hand.
"Yes"
"It's Dickens don't make him angry"Luke spoke seriously with concern.
He opened the door and I opened my eyes.
"Good job Luke!"Dickens smirked disgustingly.
"I just need the money and I'm leaving with her"Luke blankly muttered.
"Oh come on what fun is that?"He smiled out and I cringed.
"Look Dickens don't touch her, I've done everything you asked and when she goes so does all the evidence"
"You did this for money?" I asked in annoyance.
I didn't even care anymore.
"I did this for us" He gave me a genuine smile.
Dickens approached me and kneeled in front of me to face me.
"You look just like your mother. I want you beg for mercy"
"What like you're going in jail?"I snickered and he laughed.
"Oh honey I'm not going anywhere..."
"Except for under my chair" I mumbled and he raised his eyebrows.
"What-"
I shifted my chair forcefully and the chair leg slapped his across his cheek, leaving a slice of blood behind.
"Are you really that stupid to kneel in front of me and strap me to a chair-something that can move if I do?"
Luke started unstrapping me and I remained confused.
"Lets go!"He shouted and grabbed onto both his briefcases which I predicted had the money in them.
Before Dickens could react we exited into an unfamiliar hallway.
"Listen to me carefully Blair..."He whispered seriously and I looked around to see how I could escape.
"He thinks I'm running away with you... so go Blair. I'll go far and I'll surely attract Dickens running behind me... live your life with Ethan"He smiled sweetly and my heart melted.
"I-I-I don't understand"
He chuckled cutely.
"Baby you don't have to..."He brought our foreheads together as he locked the door Dickens was in with a key card.
Dickens screamed angrily, attacking the door violently.
"I can't go not understanding. I can't go liking you"
He placed his hands on my cheeks.
"I did this to you for money... one million pound. I thought if I had so much I could win you over in a heartbeat but I know you would never do that. You would never be happy with me. You deserve Ethan and I deserve having Dickens chasing me for the rest of my life but,you my beautiful angel, deserve a happy ending"
There was a long pause.
"I won't let Dickens chase you...he needs to be in jail... I still have the evidence. It may not be enough but I will try my hardest. I will win"
"If your going to put Dickens in jail you have to put me in there too... please I deserve it"
Then... I slapped him. Hard.
It was a mixture of feelings that had conjured inside me. From the moment he kidnapped me to now.
He smiled and mumbled he deserved it.
"No. There's a difference between idiocy and criminality"
"There's not when you have stabbed your best friend in the back"
"Answer one question.. honestly"
He nodded suspiciously.
"Did you know it was wrong when you were doing it,making up a plan of how you can fix it once your done?"
"Yes"He answered shortly and looked down.
"You're not a criminal then Luke and you will never be"
He smiled, as if my words meant the world to him.
"I kidnapped you.."
"And now you're letting me go..."
"I betrayed you..."
"But you would never do that again"
"I hurt you..."
"I would be more hurt if I could never see you again..."
Now we had walked into some car park;sparse.
"You're unbelievable.. I need to give you something"he mumbled reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small memory stick.
My eyebrows arched in confusion.
"Originally, I started working with Dickens to get evidence against him... on here are some voice recordings, pictures of his texts and videos of us two talking about everything he's done. He admits to everything..."
My eyes lit up. No way.
"Luke! Oh my god this is amazing! That's it- I've got a case! I've got everything I need to put him in jail"I screeched happily and he smiled.
"Let me take you to Ethan and I'll be gone"He said opening his car door.
Before that, he called the police anonymously to collect Dickens as he has an armed weapon on him. This would give us at least 24 hours for our case to be put together and presented with Dickens behind bars.
"What if he doesn't have a weapon on him?" I asked.
"If I learnt anything about Dickens is that he always carries a gun"
"Why?"
"To scare people into doing as he wishes. Simple scare tactics"
I arrived at Ethan's house and looked at him in shock.
"What?"He laughed. "I tied him up like you to satisfy Dickens, I was trying to scare you...he's fine"
"So this is where our story ends..."I mumbled, my voice breaking as I swallowed back tears of losing my best friend forever.
"I guess so... I'm going to leave my car here and rent a car, that way Dickens won't be able to find me easily"He spoke, not looking at me.
There was silence while I sobbed quietly, I don't think he knew. I was glad.
"Okay bye"He suddenly said and walked out the car, starting to walk away.
I don't want this to happen.
What do you do? I have to let him go!
"7 years!"I shouted and he froze in his steps.
"7 FUCKING YEARS!"I fell on the floor sobbing. Well, that was not what I was expecting from my heart.
Luke ran towards me.Enveloping his arms around me lovingly.
"And all you say is okay bye"
We both sobbed into each other.
"Blair I love you, I can't go on being with you when I love you so badly"He croaked out.
"This isn't fair! I love you too!"
He smiled into my neck.
"But not as you do to Ethan"
"But I love you as my best friend"
"It's not enough..."He whispered.
We stayed comforting each other on the floor for a while; I cherished each second.
"I'll miss you"He spoke, stroking my hair.
"I'll miss you too"I whispered back.
Then he quickly pecked my lips before I could say anything.
"I had too... at least once"He whispered huskily and I smiled.
"It's fine chubby..."He smiled and then he kissed my forehead."Okay mr that's enough" I joked and gave him a kiss on the cheek before he walked away.
Then I remembered.
"The briefcases!" I quickly grabbed both and called Luke's name but he was gone.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. They do not seem as if they had a million pounds in them.
I opened one.
I started weeping.

Hi my Huns! How are you all? I've missed you all and there is some good and bad news. The good news is I will be updating a lot more now but the bad news is that our journey has nearly come to an end... this doesn't mean i won't be writing another story because you never know what may pop up😉
