AHANA'S POV
I woke up when the sun rays captured my face. I opened my eyes gently.
Ansh's hand was around my waist but not firm this time. I still remember he said he missed me. But was that really true. I didn't have any mood to go to office today. And even I had to plan for the surprise party. Ansh looked so calm sleeping. If we really had something in between us I would for sure kissed him.
Oh!! Why am I thinking this...
" Till what time are you planning to stare at me. I hope you are not imagining to kiss me. " He said. When did he woke up.
" Whatever... " But before I would get up. I was again pulled on the bed, hitting against his chest.
" Don't you wanna go to the office, Mr. Workaholic ... " I said.
" Hmmm... I am getting up but I don't feel. Are you not coming to the office?"
" No... I am working from home. "
" Why? Are you really being like a wife... House wife? "
" Aha... In your dreams.. I am just tired. I ll work from home. And why you asking. Is my husband missing me at work? " I said laughing.
" So, my wife is now flirting with me... " He said laughing.
I quickly got off and went to brush my teeth. When I came out Ansh was still lazily lying on the bed. I noticed him watching me but then I proceeded towards the kitchen for making breakfast. Usually I only make coffee as Sara is already done with it but today I wanted to make it.
When I was done with it I called Dad and grandad. They gladly came to a family breakfast.
" Where is Ansh? " Grandad asked.
" I think he is.... " Before I would complete I was interrupted.
" Here I am.... " I saw him descending from the stairs in his perfect suit and tie set up. His hair all gelled up and fine. Perfectly ready for work.
" I am going for the meeting. See you in the evening. " He is such a dipole. His old cold type was back.
" Why don't you have the breakfast with us son? Ahana's coffee is awesome why don't you give it a try. " Dad said. I was just staring at him. I really can't stand him neither can I understand him.
" I am really busy Dad... Bye Dad Bye Grandad... " Saying so he just went out. As if I didn't exist. Not even a single look. I don't understand why he does all this. I really doubt was he drunk last night.
" Ahana... He is always like this. I hope you don't mind him. " Dad said looking at my expression.
" No.. I think I know him now. " I knew that was an understatement. I really didn't knew Ansh at all. What he did only he had the answers to them.
" Are you not going to the office? "
" No.. Grandad. Actually I have gotta tell you both something. "
Then I explained then my plan about Ansh's b'day which was in two days. How I and Piya decided to give him a surprise. I explained everything in detail.
" That's wonderful. I am really happy that Ansh is lucky to have you. He is so impossible and still you are doing so much to make him happy. " Dad said. He sounded happy.
Even I didn't know why I was doing all this. But once I have decided on a thing, I intend to do it irrespective of how nerd the opposite person is.
" If you require any help call us. '' They both retreated towards their work. And I returned to the kitchen. I had so much planning to do.
" Mam... Grandad has asked for your coffee like always. Can you please make it?" Sara came in as always. But today I really doubt it. She always said the same thing but now I knew something was fishy.
" Tell me the truth Sara. Isn't it Ansh was demands it always and you lie to me. " I asked her sternly. And at once she succumbed.
" I am sorry mam. But Ansh sir said you must'nt know that its him who wants your coffee daily before leaving. He waits in his car. He said that if I tell you the truth I shall lose my job. " She was on the verge of breaking.
" Ah!! Sara it's fine. You just make it yourself and serve him. If he gets to know that I haven't made it then give him this. " I quickly scribbled a message on a piece of paper while Sara made the coffee. I sent her off to the garage. I too followed her closely behind. I really wanted to see his expression. Ansh is such a liar. I don't know why I believed him about that Jia story. Maybe his eyes were telling the truth at that time.
I hide myself behind the door. Sara gave Ansh the coffee and as soon as he drank he spit it out. I could see anger boiling in him. I was smiling.
" What the.... Where the hell is the coffee made by Ahana? Didn't you get it Sara? " He shouted on the top of his voice.
Sara didn't speak anything and quickly handed him the paper I had given her.
He read it and I could make out it made me more furious. He asked his driver to leave at once. I couldn't help but chuckle. I hope our next encounter won't be a mild one but I know he ll surely enjoy the surprise.
I had written,
Ansh, if you really need my coffee then have the guts to ask for it and not play this sneaking game. If you want it have it with everyone else on the breakfast table. Sara won't bring it to you lying to me. Dare you scold her again. Have a nice day.

I hope he gets the lesson for messing with me. I was still laughing. It felt good that at least he liked my coffee. Now I had to decide what gift to give that jerk. Basically he had everything that anyone aspires for. Being a rich brat helps that out. But after scratching my mind for an hour I finally decided on something.
I really like black colour and I like man wearing black shirts. It really suits some smart guys. My dad always looked handsome in his black shirt which I had gifted him. I knew Ansh may be having some black shirts but still I decided to give him a Van Huesen black shirt. A crisp and smart black will surely make him look more handsome..
Although I haven't seen him in perfect black anytime. And along with that I thought of giving him a Ganesha Idol. Which it will protect him always and give him all the strength.
At noon I grabbed my car keys and went on shopping. After a long time I had done that. I asked Piya to come along but she was stuck with some work. I asked her to arrange the catering while I ll do the cake and decorations.
I am sure Ansh would go to his office on his day too and later I would sneak and look over the things.
I picked a black dress to wear at the party. It matched perfectly with Ansh's shirt. Now I was really getting excited. Shopping alone isn't fun but I still managed. My dress was a bit above knee length and had spilts with flares. It looked amazing. It wasn't very heavy. Sweet and sober. It was a perfect black with a v neck. I already had black sandles.
At around 6 I returned home. I was busy the entire day with the preparations and giving invitation on my way home. Tomorrow I ll have to go to the office for an important meeting and I had look at the presentation now. When I returned Ansh was still not home. I was tired but the day hadn't come to a end.
I set to work on my laptop having some snacks. When I looked up it was already 11. I wonder why Ansh didn't come home. Usually he is always late. Later I went to the gym and had a strong coffee. I waited for Ansh always. I just want to know if he is home or not.
Just then my cell was ringing bringing me back to reality.
It was Jaai. I big smile appeared on my face.
" Hey!! I thought you are dead J.. " I said in sarcasm.
" Hana... My queen... " He said.
" Just shut up... You idiot. Why didn't you call in so many days. I thought you forgot I exist. "
" Sorry... I was so busy with work that it just slipped off my mind. And I just wanted to give the newly weds some time alone. " He said and laughed loudly.
" Shut up... And now I really doubt you are off for some work. I think something is fishy. Common on now tell me what is going on there. Dare you lie this time. " I said.
" Hmmmm... I know... You know me well Ahana. But first you are gonna tell me howz life is there and things between you guys. " How am I suppose to answer this coz I don't know how things are.
I said they are fine and told him about the surprise party.
" Thats... Cool.... Ahana.. I wish I was there. I really want to see you in your dress. "
" I ll send you many pics. But I really want you back for my bday. I hope you remember it J.. "
" Ya... I ll try.. See you.. ll call you later... Bye.. "
I hung up. J is really smart. He talked all about me and didn't said a thing about him being there. Next time I ll see him. I turned around and there leaning against the wall was standing Ansh. He had that typical look on his face. Why the hell were you speaking to him.
" Hey! You back. " I said smiling. But he didn't returned the gesture.
" I hope I didn't disturb you talking to your only friend. " He said with a agitated look. I hope he didn't hear about the surprise party.
" Ansh... Actually he called after a long time. "
" Oh!! It's just that I suppose to be there at the wrong place at the wrong time. "
" From how much time are you standing there? "
" Does it matter to you anyways? I am home or not. Why would you care? " I would see that he had that paper in his hand which I gave him in the morning.
" So... You are upset that you didn't get your coffee. But Ansh you could sit and have it with us. What's the problem? " I said.
" I don't have any problem. I am very busy. I don't have free time to go about chatting with long lost friends. " Saying so he disappeared in his study. What the hell? Whenever I have to be angry or upset with him he is the one who turns against me. I just hope he didn't heard anything or else my plan would be flop.

After a entire night of turning and twisting I got early and made the breakfast and left. I wasn't in any mood to talk to Ansh. He always seemed pissed off now. I had to much pending work.
My entire day was gone in meetings and paper work. I didn't see Ansh that day although we were only few meters apart.
I had planned that 12 at midnight I ll be the first person to wish him. Maybe then he would sound a bit cheerful. I just wanted to make his day special.
I quickly wrapped my work at around 8 and rushed home. Ansh was still working. But today I had a feeling he would be back early. On my way I picked up some yellow roses, of course not the red ones. I just wanted to start with friendship first.
When I reached home it was deserted as always. Dad and grandad might have gone to their friends. I went to my room and had a shower.
I have been waiting for Ansh since two hours. It's already 11:56. Still no sound from him. Dad and grandad too came back and now they might be sleeping soundly. I did every possible thing to kill time. Read a novel, watched tv and completed the paper works.
The clock struck 12.
Happy birthday Ansh. I don't know where the hell are you and why are you doing all this. Now even my flowers were exhausted. I tired sleeping but failed in doing that too.
I heard some footsteps coming towards the room. I was reading my novel.
" You still awake. " So finally the b'day boy shows up. I quickly looked at him and then at the clock, it was 1:30 am. I didn't realise the time while I was reading. Ansh looked all messed up. His tie was loose. His shirt was untucked.
But then I didn't mind it.
" Hey! I was waiting for you. " I quickly grabbed his presents.
" Common now close your eyes.. Fast.... " I said jumping here and there.
" What happened Ahana? Why you behaving like a kid...??"
" Ansh... Fast... Close them... "
" Okay fine... "
I arranged his present on the bed.
" Happy Birthday Ansh... May god bless you... " I said clapping and smiling. He opened his eyes and saw the presents. The shirt and the Ganesha idol along with the roses.
" Do you like it? And this is not the end. There are still many surprises awaiting you. " I said. What surprised me was his expression. He stood there emotionless and without any smile.
" Ansh.. I must be the first one right? to wish you. "
" Actually no... You aren't. Anyways I am tired I am going to sleep. "
Saying so he went away. Yeah! Without any thank you or a smile.
But he took his gifts with him. Why??? Only he knows.
There was a pang of pain in my heart. Tears found their way down naturally. Why is it always me? After all this hard work I get such a beautiful reward. I don't even know what ll happen in the party.
But still I think he will come.
I got in the covers and fell asleep but the tears weren't stopping yet.
