All I wanted was

I guess our stars,
were never properly aligned.
Every time...

how I could've been so blind?
But you were out there all along,
and I was caught up,
in the wrong nursery rhyme.
You dragged my name through the dust,
When all I ever wanted was,
someone to trust.
Made me believe I was undeserving,
of any kind of love,
and that I would never be enough.
It's so sad when life changes,
but you just have to
readjust.
