3rd POV:
The two boys decided to go out to enjoy the beautiful sunny spring day after the massive rain storm the previous night.
One boy had pink spiky whereas the other had raven black hair.
"Natsu, Zeref you two boys be careful out there, there's still an immense amount of water left over from the rain storm" The voice of a woman in her late twenties warned.
"Yes, ma'am" The two boys said to their mother.
Both of them gave their mother a kiss goodbye not knowing that one of them wouldn't make it back alive.
"Man the sun is bright" Natsu said blocking the sun's rays with his arm.
"Yeah, it sure is Natsu, but it's good to be able to see another day, especially after that massive rain storm that nearly flooded our town" Zeref said with a sigh of relief.
"Yeah, t-...GAH!" Natsu squelched slipping in mud.
"N-Natsu?! Hey, are you o-o-k-k...pff!" Zeref asked, trying not to laugh at his now mud covered brother.
"Haha, very funny!" Natsu scoffed.
"I'm s-sorry Natsu HAHA but you look r-ridiculous!" Zeref laughed.
Natsu growled and threw a big blob of mud at Zeref hitting him square in the face.
"What the heck Natsu!" Zeref growled wiping off the mud.
"Ha! Serves you right!" Natsu laughed sticking his tongue out.
"I'm going to get you Natsu!" Zeref yelled, then charged at his brother.
"You're way too slow to catch me Zeref" Natsu mocked as he ran away from his brother.
"We'll see about that!" Zeref said with a cocky grin giving chase.
The two brothers laughed as they chased after one another.
"Haha, I told ya you're s---" Natsu paused, seeing his brother right behind him.
"What the...There's no wa--aaaaiiieee!!" Natsu squelched as Zeref tackled him.
"Pinned ya Natsu" Zeref laughed.
"Hey, let me up!" Natsu demanded.
"Gladly" Zeref said, getting off his brother.
Zeref starts to dust himself off, allowing Natsu to strike.
"Ha, I got ya now Zeref!" Natsu shouted tackling his brother from behind, causing the two boys to roll away.
After awhile their rolling bodies started to slow down.
"Pinned ya again Natsu!" Zeref laughed being the victor yet again. Natsu whined frustrated.
"I'm older than you Natsu therefore I'm better than you" Zeref said with a cocky tone.
"Nuh uh, just because your older doesn't prove anything!"
"Yeah huh it obviously does Natsu"
"Does Not!"
"Does Too!"
"Does Not!"
"Does Too!"
"Not!"
"Too!"
"N..N--" A strong breeze blows past the two boys causing Natsu's hair to fly in his face.
"Blegh!"
"Yuck!"
"Patooie!"
Zeref snickered watching his little brother spitting the hair that flew in his mouth.
"Quit it!"
"It's not funny Zeref!"
"Hehe you're right, I'm sorry Natsu"
"Tch, no you're not!"
"You're such a meanie Zeref!"
"Ah, hehe Natsu, I was only kidding around." Zeref chuckled holding his stomach.
Phew, that was a good laugh hehe and besides they say laughter is t---" Zeref paused, noticing his brother was nowhere to be found.
"Natsu?"
"Natsu?"
"Natsuuuuuu?!" Zeref called out.
Zeref searched high and low for his little brother thinking he was playing hide in seek.
"Natsu?"
"Natsu?"
"Natsu come on, this isn't funny anymore!"
"Where are you NATSU!"
The voice of Zeref's voice echoed through the trees causing the birds living inside them to fly away.
"Natsu where are you hiding?"
"You couldn't have gotten very far" Zeref sighed, sitting down on a big boulder.
Soon, the frightened cry of his brother was heard.
"ZEREFFFFF!!!"
"Natsu?"
Zeref looked in frantic for his brother.
"Natsu where a-- *SPLAT!*
Ewww Gross!" Zeref frowned, being pooped on by a bird.
"Yuck!" Zeref said in disgust wiping his face.
He looked up to glare at the bird but instead he saw....
Young Natsu's POV:
"Stupid Zeref thinking he's better than me just because he's older"
"I'll show him!"
As Zeref was busy laughing like an idiot I was busy noticing my surroundings.
"Wait a second..we're near the mountains now..."
An idea soon clicked inside my head "I know something Zeref wouldn't be good at"
The mysterious man of the mountain supposedly lives up at the highest peak of the mountain.
"I'll go climb the mountain to prove if such a man exists"
I slowly backed away from my laughing brother once I was out of his sight I turned and ran as fast as my little legs could take me.
"Let me see it should be around here somewhere" I said to myself looking around.
I continued walking ignoring the faint calls of my name being called by Zeref.
"I'll prove I'm better than you Zeref just watch me"
I come across a riggity old bridge that lead to the other side.
"I can cross this bridge no sweat" I said, gripping the bridge railing which happened to be a rope.
I took one small step and started slowly across the bridge.
"I can do this...I can do this just don't look d---Gah!" I screamed as my foot went through the wooden plank.
I cried out in pain as the broken wooden pieces pierced my leg.
"Owie!"
"Let go!" I groaned in pain trying to pull my leg out.
"N-No, it's s-stuck!"
Suddenly, a huge wind blew by causing the bridge to sway.
"Why does this always happen to me?!" I whined still trying to break free.
The wind blew harder, causing the bridge to sway more.
"ZEREF HELP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
A loud snap grabs my attention as I notice the rope starting to break.
"No, please, I don't want to die!"
"ZEREF HELLLPPP!"
"NATSU!" The voice of my brother yelled.
"Zeref thank goodness... I'm safe" I sighed in relief seeing my brother.
"Natsu what in the world are you doing up there?!"
"Spare me the scolding and just get me down Zeref!"
"Oh, right coming!"
The rope snaps again causing the bridge to lean over.
"Hurry Zeref I'm scared!"
"Hang on Natsu!"
Suddenly, the rope broke again. I don't remember much after that, except the faint call of my name.
Then, all went black...
Next, thing I remember was waking up to a bright light shining down my face.
"Hey, what's with the light?" I groaned in protest.
"Sweetheart?"
"Son?"
"Huh?" I turned to see my mom and dad with tear stained faces.
"Mom?"
"Dad?"
"Why are y--NATSU!" Mom screamed, throwing her arms around me.
"M-Mom, why are y--THANK GOD!" Dad screamed throwing his arms around me as well.
"Thank goodness we didn't lose you too" They whispered.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused by the situation.
My parents just continued to sob as they held me close.
"Will somebody please answer my----" I paused, noticing one person was missing.
"M-mom?"
"D-dad?"
"Where's Zeref?"
The tightening of my parents grip said it all.
"Natsu, I'm so sorry...but Zeref...

I'm so sorry for being so low with these story updates. I really, really am.
Just know even though I'm slow at the moment with updates I won't just stop cold turkey and leave you all with cliffhangers for years. I assure you that much.
So I'm going to stop blabbering for now, please let me know what you thought of this long chapter.
