I unlocked the front door and walked in, the house was still quiet normally my mum and dad would be up and my sisters (Aisha and Mia) would be sleeping, but the house was silent.
I checked all the rooms, and no-one was in which was odd.
i Went into my room and noticed a piece of paper on the table;

If you return home and notice no-one is here your Dad, Sister and I have gone to visit your Aunty so we'll be back next Sunday, if your wondering where the money is, it's in my bedside table i hope everything okay & explain when you get back, your Dad's very angry.

i Folded the paper up and chucked it in the bin, checked the time it was 7:15am i still had 20 minutes left before i would normally go to school, so I decided to eat some breakfast, I covered my scars with some foundation and tied my hair into a messy bun leaving my side fringe out since I had a slight cut above my eyebrow, i didn't want it to seem noticeable and I definitely didn't want Wayne to see it, my stomach was still aching from the bruises and cuts so I went downstairs and searched the house for some painkillers, it said to take one but the pain was getting worse, I ended up taking two instead, and I washed it down with a glass of water, my phone started ringing:
Caller ID: Leona.
Me: Hello?
Leona: SHAY? ARE YOU OK BABES?!
Me: Yeah, I'm fine.
Leona: You don't sound it, you've been gone for 3 days and everyone's been worried.
Me: Oh, sorry.
Leona: Don?t be, just tell me what?s bothering you, you haven?t been acting?normal.
Me: Nothing, seriously I?m fine.
Leona: Hmm, if you say so, I?ll knock for you in 10 yeah?
Me: Okay thanks.
Leona: Its ok b.
I put the phone down and ate some cereal quickly, just so I could fill my stomach but it wasn?t hunger pains, the pains were sharp and strong. There was a knock on the door, I washed up quickly and grabbed my bag Leona was standing there with Melody & Rochelle, Leona & Rochelle smiled but Melody screwed, so I returned it. Why is she gonna screw me like I done something to her? People these days.
Rochelle: Are you okay now?
Me: Mm.
Rochelle: Oh Okay, Wayne seemed stressed.
Me: Did he?
Leona: Yeah.
Melody: I Dunno why he's stressed tho.
Me: What's that supposed to mean?
Melody: Nothing.
I rolled my eyes and we got on the bus and went upstairs, I wanted to do a u-turn and go straight back downstairs and get off the bus, Wayne + his boys were sitting at the back, as soon as I got on he noticed and his facial expression changed, he looked angry but no-one else noticed;
Wayne: Oi, come here.
Leona: Is that her name?
Wayne: Was I fucking talking to you?
Leona: Does it look like I give a shit? Don't talk to her like she's your bitch.
Wayne: Fine, watch Shayna.
By now the attention was on me, people were wondering if I would still go over to him after he called me I could feel Leona looking at me telling me to sit down next to her and I did but I knew what treatment I'd get from him later on, we were talking for the whole bus journey and as soon as our stop came I hurried off the bus, Leona + Rochelle were calling after me but I just ran straight to form people looking at me weirdly, the news of my disappearance must have went around the school. Once I got into form I took my seat at the back I still had 5 minutes until the bell would go and the rest would arrive, no-one was in the form room, perfect.
I put my head on the desk and tried to catch my breath, the pain in my stomach had gotten worse probably because of the running, I was holding my side the pain was excruciating but I held the tears back because if I let them out, some-one would notice I'd been crying and I wasn't up for the questions again, it would be too suspicious. The bell went and everyone started to walk in, Leona, Rochelle and Melody sat on a table with me and some other girl called Bianca, Leona sat next to me, you could say I was closest to her but not close enough to tell my secret to, I couldn't trust anyone.
Leona: Why did you just run off Shay?
Me: Oh erm, I needed to toilet badly.
Leona: Lool, okay.
I hoped she believed that excuse, the form tutor came in and took the register then she silenced us,
Teacher: We've got a new pupil joining us today, his names Joel.
He walked in and I recognised him instantly...
Oh no, it's the boy I bumped into at the hostel, I recognised his big brown eyes that I was caught in and how long we were staring at each other for, I had knots tying in my stomach, that feeling returned when I saw him standing at the front, tall quite hench, light skin, shapeup and a slit in his eyebrow, he looked straight at me and everyone started talking, miss told him to sit where he wanted to and he sat with Wayne and his lot, they seemed like they knew him already, he spudded each of them and carried on talking every now and then he'd look over at me and stare until Wayne turned around and gave me a disgusting screw I turned my head away and Rochelle started talking about him;
Rochelle: He's NOICE.
Leona laughed lightly.
Melody: Ahlie, I'm surprised he aint noticed me yet.
Leona: Why would he notice you?
Melody: Well your not exactly pretty are you?
Leona: Watch your mouth.
Melody kissed her teeth whilst they continued talking about Joel; I was praying that he didn't tell them where he saw me. The day flew by quickly, and Leona said Rochelle and I could come round to hers but I just wanted to get back in and relax so I sped home just so Wayne didn't see me and I saw Joel AGAIN he was taking boxes out a car and putting it in the house right next to mine, great.
I walked up to my door carefully so he wouldn't notice me and I tried to run to my door but I tripped on the kerb and my bag went flying so did I and I flew straight into the bush, typical.
Me: ARGH, FUCKING STINGING NETTLES!
I heard someone laughing but obviously I couldn't see because I was inside the bush, I was struggling to get out I was scratched up badly, I felt a grip on my arm and someone pull me out, I cleared my throat and straightened out my uniform taking all the leaves out my hair;
Me: Thanks.
I picked up my stuff and tried to unlock my door but he held my arm and spun me around, I flinched;
Joel: I'm not gonna hurt you, I swear I've seen you before.
He said whilst analyzing my face, I slowly shook my head and shrugged
Me: Erm... you know I don't think so.
Joel: Yeah, you're the girl I bumped into at the hostel.
Me: I'm sure you've bumped into many girls, I'll see you later.
I tried to go in and again he pulled me back;
Joel: So why you avoiding me then?
Me: I'm not, I'm just in a rush.
Joel: So whenever you see me, you do a u-turn?
Me: Erm... I don't think I've seen you today.
Joel: I've been in all your lessons.
Me: Really? Ha, I didn't even notice.
Joel: Shayna, I'm not gonna tell anyone.
Me: Tell anyone what?
Joel: If your scared I'm gonna expose you, I?m not.
I nodded slowly still looking at his eyes what a beautiful creation, I think I was staring for too long because he started laughing;
Joel: I'll talk to you later yeah?
Me: Um...yeah.
Joel: No Hug?
Me: I don't think thats a good idea.
Joel: Why not?
Me: Wayne.
Joel: Kmt, So your the girl he was talking about? The one he says he has on lock.
Me: He said that?
Joel: Yeah, so now that explains the bruise you had on your face when i saw you in the hostel, dont let him-
I shut the door and ran straight upstairs, he'd told people what he'd done to me? The doorbell went again minutes later i just ignored it because i thought it was Joel, i didn't want to associate with him at all and i especially didn't want Wayne to see, there was a loud bang and this time it sounded more urgent so i got up and went downstairs ready to tell Joel where to go, i opened the door and Wayne pushed me straight back in with so much force i fell straight on the floor;
Wayne: Where were you?
Me: Erm...at my Aunty's.
Wayne: Don't fucking lie to me Shayna.
Me: I'm not i was-
He slapped me straight across my face, he was losing it now i could tell, he picked me up and pushed me against the wall;
Wayne: DIDN'T I TELL YOU NOT TO SPEAK TO OTHER BOYS?
Me: I was just being friendly.
He punched me again, until my nose started bleeding.
Me: P-Please stop.
Wayna: Don't tell me what to do.
He kept kicking me, i was screaming for help the front door burst open and Joel came running in;
Joel: BRUV, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOIN?
Wayne: TEACHING HER A LESSON.
Joel: DONT TOUCH HER ARE YOU STUPID?!
Wayne removed his attention from me, i was too weak to even scream for them to stop, i couldn't move it hurt too badly, Wayne later walked out leaving me lying on the floor with Joel cleaning my cuts;
Joel: Why didn't you tell me Shayna?
Me: There's nothing to tell.
I winced in pain everytime he dabbed the cotton wool over my cuts;
Joel: That's why you were at the hostel, to get away from him?
I couldn't tell him the truth, I barely knew him.
