Third Person

Seeing the man from yesterday with a different man who the first man seemed to address as Elijah, territory took the young wolf off guard. She wasn't expecting to see them her territory. When she sniffed someone she didn't know on her territory, she immediately went to see who had dared came into her territory. The other werewolves within the Bayeux knew not to mess with her and to not come into her territory. They didn't know who she was, but they knew not to cross her. Granted her territory wasn't very big compared to other wolves and packs, hers was only about an acre. But it was hers.

She had stood in the distance as the two men had inspected the bodies of the witches who had served the young wolf a delicious lunch. Though they seemed to have left a bitter aftertaste. Probably because they were witches, she had thought. After watching them for a while, she decided to come into but when they saw her, they appeared angry which only confused the young wolf. She had saved the blue-eyed man's life yesterday, is he not grateful? Upon seeing their expressions, she decided to take off but what shocked her the most was their incredulous speed in which they caught up with her. She knew how vampires had heightened speed but she was able to outrun vampires, why couldn't she, they? The young wolf couldn't help but wonder what they were, she had known that the man who was addressed as Niklaus was different when she first saw him yesterday. The way he had fought against the witches, no human could have done that, but their speed and strength had taken her off guard. She hadn't been expecting that, so when they demanded her to shift she couldn't help but whimper.

She hadn't been human for over three years now, she didn't want to end that streak. So, she was stubborn which seemed to annoy the two vampires. She didn't want to shift for more reasons than one, but the main reason being that you don't feel emotions as much when you're a wolf, most of the things you feel are animal instincts whereas a human feels nothing but emotions and she wasn't ready to deal with that. She didn't care if others thought that made her weak, she just wasn't ready to fully accept what her life is. In fact, the young wolf was more than happy to live the rest of her life as a wolf. When the man, Elijah threatened the wolf, she couldn't help but comply. So she shifted, but before the two men turned around, she quietly whispered a spell beneath her breath.

"Inquisite" If she was going to shift, she wasn't showing them what she looked like. especially when, she herself didn't fully know what she looked like, considering she hadn't seen her own body since she was 14. Looking down at herself she had noticed how much she had changed from what she remembered, she was much more muscular but not as muscular as a stereotypical man. Her long brunette had grown, and now flowed down in long waves half way down her back, when it used to just rest upon her shoulders. She now had breasts, unlike when she was 14, as they were just starting to grow at that age. Scars took residence throughout her entire body, they were mostly faded but they still remained. Some were from fighting other wolves and a couple were from clumsiness as a child, but some were from the one person who was meant to protect her...

She hugged herself in Elijah's jacket, as the icy breeze, hits her. She hadn't felt the cold in so long, as normally her fur coat would protect her from the harshness of the cold. Looking around, the girl couldn't help but marvel at how the world looked as a human compared to a wolf, she preferred the wolf, but as a human, she felt her own emotions more. Almost as though they were drowning her. Almost.

As the young men walked away she couldn't help the one thought that slowly drifted in her mind.

If only they knew...

The compound

"What do you mean, you don't know who she is?" an annoyed hybrid asks, gritting his teeth. All day, Elijah and Niklaus have been trying to find answers on the mysterious wolf, but they've found none so far.

"She just turned up a couple of years ago, marked herself her own territory and would attack any of the pack members that entered her territory." A tired Chris answers. Chris was the Alpha of the werewolf pack, he took over when Jackson died as Hayley turned it down but she's still kept in the loop in the pack as she may not be the alpha, but she's still their queen. Klaus had figured that the wolves would know about the lone wolf, considering they were all wolves in the same area, ish.

"She?" Klaus asked, raising an eyebrow. So, it was a woman. He'd thought as much but wasn't entirely sure as normally the male wolves are the strong ones.

"Yes, if you'd paid attention you'd know that, you know considering that you're also part wolf" Chris replies with a clenched jaw, Klaus can tell Chris still blames him for Jackson but Klaus decides to let it slide knowing that he has much more pressing matter at the moment.

"Tell us what you know, or heads will roll," The hybrid says with a devious grin at the thought of his head rolling across the floor.

"Klaus, no one is dying today," Hayley says firmly, she was holding a grudge against the fact that if Klaus hadn't of taken Hope into the woods for a stroll then none of this would have happened. Niklaus rolls his eyes at her statement, Elijah appears to be rubbing off on her. Great, because we really need two Elijahs in the house. Niklaus thought to himself bitterly

"Just tell us what you know Chris, it's important" Hayley pleads causing  Klaus to again roll his eyes. The impatient hybrid can't help but think that it's pathetic really how she's practically begging him to talk even though she's one of the only hybrids in the world and could easily just threaten him.

"As I said, we don't know much as whenever any one of our packs come into contact wth her they usually end up dead," Chris says with a sigh and distant look in his eyes, unable to remove the image of his dead friend, Carl out of his head. Carl had been brutally torn apart by the wolf when he went into her territory after answers. Ever since Chris has sworn that he'll one day get vengeance. He then looks at Hayley before continuing "One day, another pack came to join our pack as they were driven away by vampires. They didn't know that they were crossing her territory, as they thought it was our territory. Let's just say that they never did come meet us" Chris says.

"They all died," Hayley asks in horror.

"All of them," Chris confirms.

"How many of them were there?" Klaus asks in genuine curiosity.

"I don't know, around 20-30, it was an average sized pack," Chris says through gritted teeth, He's annoyed that Klaus is not being sympathetic towards his situation. However, Chris is not exactly surprised that he's not being sympathetic, he is after all the original hybrid. The man who cares about no-one but himself, he claims to care about his family but sometimes Chris can't help but wonder if he really does care for his daughter or if he's just using her for her power.

Niklaus isn't surprised that the wolf was able to to take down a werewolf pack, if the wolf can take down three covens of witches, then she could certainly take down one pack of average werewolves. Klaus decides that he would quite like to meet this wolf, in person this time and not in dog form.

Somewhere deep in the Bayeux

The young girl had forgotten how exhausting maintaining spells was as she continued to wander around the Bayeux. She hadn't tapped into her magic in years, she wasn't able to access her magic in her own wolf form but her witch side allowed her to be massively stronger than any normal werewolf, witch or vampire. She didn't want to shift back into her wolf just yet, as her human side of her was really wanting to explore. So she decided that she'd take the day off from being a wolf and would spend the day as a human and when the sky begins to darken, she'll shift back into a wolf and live out the rest of her life. Simple.

She found her way to the werewolf pack that wasn't that too far from her own territory, she came across this pack before in the past. Well, a more accurate description would be that they'd came across her before in the past. She doesn't understand why other werewolves hate her. When werewolves in the past crossed her territory, she attacks them and warns them but she'd never tried to kill them. But when she'd growl at them and warn them to get out of her territory, they'd attack her, the always attacked her. So obviously she had to defend herself but even then she always held back slightly as she had no intentions of killing them but they never stopped. They were relentless and in the end, she'd have to kill them in self-defence. She just doesn't understand why they hate her so much. Maybe they're able to sense that she's not a normal wolf, maybe they know who and what she is. Maybe they're able to sense that she's a freak of nature. Can they sense that she's an abomination?

No. She shakes her head to try and rid herself of those thoughts. She just hasn't fully adapted to her human body yet and so her emotions were all over the place and causing her to wallow in self-pity. She'll be fine and dandy in a moment when she's adapted fully. At least she hopes that she'll be fine. Focusing her attention on her surroundings, she sees a washing line with clothing on it. The young wolf looks around to briefly check that no-one is watching before darting forward, snatching clothing and then dashing back into the trees and out of their territory.

The young wolf wasn't stupid, the moment she stepped into their territory, she knew that the pack would be able to sense her. So, the quicker she could get away from their territory, the less likely that she'll be attacked. The small brunette chose a larger tree to stop behind so that she could quickly get changed. She decided to keep on Elijah's jacket on top her recently acquired clothing as it was comfy and she didn't want to leave it behind for some reason. After changing, the brunette decided to Swifty make her way through the Bayeux, and see what she could do for her whole day as a human.

Sometime later

The young wolf had found her way into the city and was wandering around what could only be described as a market area. There are stalls scattered around and humans swarming around like ants, she makes her way through the crowd being pushed around several times. She'd decided to remove her cloaking spell as she wanted her day of human experience to be as realistic as she can before she lives out the rest of her life as a wolf.

When her nose is hit with a scent, she snaps her head around to the stall across from her. She can't help but growl lowly as she recognises that scent to be the scent of a witch, within her life she'd came to realise that all creatures have different scents. Humans smell like fresh air, werewolves tend to smell like wet dog and vampires tend to smell like darkness. The young wolf knows that darkness isn't a smell but she has no other way of describing the smell of vampires, it's an alluring scent, one which would make some girls fall weak at the knees. Witches, however, have this earthly smell, which she has learned to hate, the bitterness of the dirt smell.

The woman behind the stall, seemed harmless enough but aren't we all different on the outside from the inside? She was wearing a long floral dress that didn't particularly suit her complexion, the young brunette will admit that she's pretty but witches are never as pretty on the inside as they are on the out. In her experience anyway. Not wanting to end up accidently biting the witches head off, the young wolf decides to walk away from the witch hastily, but she ends up knocking into someone.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," She says quickly, hoping to get away before she actually looks a who she bumped into. Well, shit.

"It's alright love" Niklaus replies with a smirk, admiring her beauty as it isn't often that he see's a girl that pretty even without makeup. His smirk falters slightly when he realises that he recognises her scent, but he can't think from where exactly.

"What's your name, love?" He asks, causing the young girl to panic slightly. She hesitates before answering.

"Nathalia, but most people tend to call me Talia" It wasn't a lie before she ran from home, everyone would address her as Talia. She couldn't help but wonder if he recognised her, even if she's not in her wolf form, he might be able to recognise her eyes or scent or something.

"Beautiful name, for a beautiful girl" He comments back with a smirk and Talia can't help but blush slightly at his reply.

"Because that's original" Nathalia replies to the hybrid with a roll of her eyes despite the light pink blush upon her cheeks.

"What can I say? I'm a very, Original person." Klaus says, his smirk growing wider as he sees her roll her eyes again.

The young wolf breathes in deeply as though she's sighing but she's really just getting more of his scent. It wasn't like anything she'd ever smelt before. He smelt like darkness as a vampire, but it was a different kind of darkness. She could almost detect wolf in him, she frowns at that. You can't be both vampire and werewolf. Then again, you can't be both witch and werewolf yet here she was, so she shouldn't really be judging him.

"You alright love? Niklaus says, noticing the frown on her face.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, I just remembered that I'm meant to be uh... meeting a uh... friend and I don't want to be late."Talia says before mentally kicking herself. She'd never been an amazing liar but she hoped that he'd fall for it. But the look of pure amusement in his eyes as she spoke said otherwise. He smirked when she was struggling to answer, knowing that she was lying, making Nathalie mentally kick herself harder.

"Of course love, don't want you to be late now do we?" Niklaus replied amused at the girl, he knew that she was lying but he let her believe that he believed her.

"No, thank you" The young witch replied, relieved that he didn't ask any further questions. She began to walk away before quickly turning around "Wait. I didn't get t-" but instead of turning to see the hybrid, she found nothingness. "Stupid vampires, she muttered to herself. With a sigh, she walked off towards the direction of the Bayeux, deciding that she wanted to go back now.

Niklaus

As she walked away, I inhaled her scent to try and figure out where I knew her from but nothing came up. Irritated that I couldn't remember where I knew her from, I sped off before she turned around and I almost missed her muttering about vampires under her breath, which made me chuckle but also stunned. How did she know that I was a vampire? And if so, is that how I recognise her, have we met before? I rack my brain for answers but get no results, I decide to ignore the girl and focus on the more pressing issues at hand, the wolf.

I go back to the compound, hoping that my normally good for nothing siblings have actually been useful and have information on our mysterious wolf. But alas, my always good for nothing siblings have no more information on the wolf that we already didn't know. I paint for a few hours before getting in the shower and getting ready for bed.

As the water pound against my skin from the shower head I relax slightly, I always have been grateful for the invention of showers as there a quick way to calm down. I stay in the shower for a few more minutes before getting out, drying, changing and then getting into bed.

My mind wanders to the mysterious girl I met in the quarter today, I can't deny that she was beautiful and for some reason, I didn't want our conversation to end. I was probably just craving a snack. I did recognise her scent, though I don't know from where. Ugh. I try to think f where I know her from but all I can come up with is that I think we first met near trees. Well that narrows it down. Note sarcasm. I spend the next half an hour just trying to think where I know the girl from. Normally, I wouldn't be bothered if I just happened to recognise a scent, as I may have just walked past them before, but for some reason, something in the back of my head is telling me that it's important that I remember the girl. But I can't think, I'm pretty sure that I'd be able to remember her, after all, it's not like she has a dull face. In fact, her face seems to stand out against others, and that's without makeup. Or maybe she just stood out because I recognise her. But where do I recognise her from? I skim through my memories, trying to think of every person I spoke to in the last few days.

But who have I spoken to in the last few days who is important? The most important thing that's happened is that wolf. But I can't think of when I've seen that girl before. Racking my brain, for answers again about the scent of the girl that I recognised earlier but I come up with zilch apart from the wolf. Why do I keep thinking of the wolf when I think about the girl, I know that our main priority right now is the wolf, but that doesn't mean I have to think about the wolf 24/7. It's not like I've even met th-

Then it clicked.

Sooooo, what d'ya think?

I'm trying to make my chapters long, sorry if you find them too short. I know that I could technically make this chapter longer, but my GCSE's are soon, so I don't have as much time for writing anymore, so when I can write, my chapters won't be as long as I would like them to be because I physically don't have the time anymore.

You're welcome to ask questions if you're slightly confused and I will answer them as best as I can without spoiling anything. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed.

Bye xx
