Kian's POV -
"Where are you?" She asked
I didn't want to lie to her so I just kept it simple by saying, "Out and about."
"Kian!" She yelled, causing me to wince and move the phone away from my ear
I rolled my eyes before placing the phone back to my ear.
I groan "What?"
"Are you cheating on me?" She asked after a moment of silence
I had now began to feel completely annoyed by her. Usually I'd just ignore what she would say, but now I'm just tired of it. I've slowly grown very irritated with her and how clingy she is.
"why the hell do you keep asking that?" I pinched the bridge of my nose
"just because I'm not by your side 24 fucking 7, doesn't mean i'm somewhere off with another girl!"
I don't know if what I just said was a lie or the truth. Part of it was the truth for different reasons, the other part is a lie because.. look where I am and who I'm here for now.
"You're with that Camilla girl.. aren't you?" she questioned further
I bit my bottom lip, knowing that I was just caught.
"Her name is Cecilia." I corrected her
"Are you?!" She snapped
I sighed "yes. I am."
I couldn't understand everything she said next because all she did was screamed through the phone, accuse me of cheating, and cussed at me the entire time.
She obviously wasn't as loud as I thought she was, sense I had started to hear yelling from down the hall.
I turned around and seen nurses scattering to where the yelling was coming from. I felt so confused and all I could do was wonder.
"I gotta go" I tell her
"No! You're gonna stay on this goddamn phone un-"
I hung up and locked my phone before putting it in my back pocket and jogging down the hall to see what was going on.
I slowed down once I got closer to the yelling and was just about to turn the corner when I heard Allison's voice.
"Hun, you have to calm down!"
"Why?! They're not doing a goddamn thing besides drugging him with medicine that just makes everything worse!" I heard a familiar voice shout back
Cecilia?
I looked at all the doctors and nurses as they stand a far distance behind Jermai and Allison. I could see all of their shocked faces, staring at the person yelling in front of them.
My eyes widened when I seen the short brown haired girl, that I've always seen with a smile on her face no matter what, about to launch at a frightened nurse who didn't have a clue what was going on.
"Cecilia! no!" I call out
Cecilia's POV -
(This part continues on from where it ended in the last Cecilia chapter)
"What's going on?" I looked at the nurse near me
"You were crying and talking in your sleep, it woke up Mr. Haynes so he called a nurse down for you sense he couldn't get up." She briefly explained
I nod and slowly took in what she said.
Wait. Grandpa is awake!
My head snapped towards the bed and the biggest smile came over my face as I seen him looking at me in worry.
"Grandpa!" I got up fast, ignoring the nurse and rushed to giving him a hug
I made sure not to hug him so tight, afraid I'd do something that would put him in more pain than he already was in.
"Who are you?" I heard him ask
My eyes snapped open from his words. I could almost hear my heart shatter. The words he had just spoken, begin to repeat in my head.
I slowly pull back with a slight frown. I couldn't be upset with him for not knowing who I was, again. Neither can I blame him for it either.
"I'll just leave now. Buzz if you need me." The nurse informs us
I just reply with a simple 'okay' and relaxed once the sound of the door had clicked shut.
His eyes had sadden once he see the frown on my face.I sucked in a deep breath, released it, and recovered with a smile.
"I'm Cecilia, your granddaughter" I held out my hand for him to shake
"My granddaughter?" He repeated as he slowly reached out to shake my hand
"Allison had a daughter?" He questioned
I nod in response, afraid my voice would give up on me if I had even spoken.
"Where's Lisa?" He looked around the room
"Grandma? She said her flight lands ton-"
"Where's Lisa?" He asked again, this time he looked panicked
"Grandpa?" I inch closer to touch him but he slaps my hand away
"I want Lisa!" He shouts
It all happened so fast, Grandpa had begin breathing at an un-normal rate and shaking violently. The heart monitor was the only thing ringing through my ears as I stood there, not knowing what to do.
A red dot caught the corner of my eye and I quickly buzzed the button. Immediately a group of doctors walk in and surrounded the bed.
"Ma'am i'm gonna have to ask you to leave" a nurse says
I ignore her and payed attention to what they were doing to my grandpa. I felt so helpless, frightened, and alone. I want to help him but I cant, and it hurts me just because of that!
"Ma'am you need to go! Now" the nurse now grabs hold of my arm
"Get her out of here!" Another doctor shouts
"No!" I push her away "what are you doing to him?!"
She stumbles back a bit but still had a good grip on my upper arm.
"We need to give him a shot of the medication" one doctor says
"No!" I shout "that's not gonna help! It's just making things worse!"
The doctor looks at me and then at the nurse "why is she still in here?!"
A bunch of other nurses came to help escort me out. I tried to fight them off but they kept holding me back.
"Let go of me!" I shout as my vision became blurry from tears
"Grandpa!" I cry out as the door shut
By now I was out of the room as the two nurses blocked me from entering again.
"Let! Me! In!" I shout and try to push them out of the way but ended up stumbling back
"You can't go in there Miss." one speaks calmly
"My grandpa is in there!" I yell
"I am aware, but you can't see him right now." The other one spoke up
"Why?! He needs me in there with him! I need to be by his side!"
Soon doctors and nurses that were already in the hall, stopped what they were doing and were now looking at me.
"What're you all looking at?!" I snapped
"You call yourselves doctors?! You're supposed to save people, not slowly drug them to their deaths!" I scoffed "doctors my as-"
"Cecilia!" A deep voice shouted
I turn around to see both my parents and a couple of doctors, standing at the end of the hallway and watching the scene unfold.
My dad looked pissed as he stared at all the trouble and attention I've caused.
"Car. Home. Now." He says through gritted teeth
I tense as I seen how red his face was turning.
Just do what he says, and you'll be in less trouble than you're in now.
I stood there for a minute before shaking my head at him "no."
Shit shit shit shit.
Mom opened her mouth to speak "Cecilia-"
"No!" I cut her off, not meaning to snap at her.
"Cecilia Marie Gomez, you better watch your tone and remember who you're talking to. Get over here right now!" My dad ordered
"No!" Shot back "I'm not about to just leave when Grandpa is in there right now, lying sick on his fucking death bed without anyone by his side! God knowns how long he has to live now because those stupid ass doctors keep giving him medicine that doesn't even work!"
"Hun, you have to calm down!" Mom tells me
"Why?! They're not doing a goddamn thing besides drugging him with medicine that just makes everything feel worse!" I cried as I couldn't help but remember all the times my grandpa had complained to me about that stupid medicine and how sick he was of taking it.
Back then, when he would tell me about it, all I could do was continue to talk him into taking it because the doctors had told us it'd help with the pains and alight migraines he would occasionally have. Now, I felt as if the medication was the reason he's even lying in the hospital today.
"Miss, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave or you will be escorted out." A doctor spoke as she stood a few feet away from me
My jaw clenched and I felt nothing but pure rage boiling through my veins as I blacked out. She stares at me in fright and concern as I begin to launch towards her.
"Cecilia! no!"
