Camila was waiting in the car for Lauren as she yawned. She was exhausted from being up most of the night thinking about her girlfriend. She hated her last class of the day. The teacher's voice was so annoying; his voice was monotone and it could easily put someone to sleep if they were tired enough. The cheerleader leaned against the door and pressed her head against the window as she waited for her girlfriend to get to her car. She really wanted to go up to Lauren all day and kiss her and just tell everyone that she was dating Lauren, but she didn't; she was going to respect Lauren's decision.

The older girl was running a little late after school. She promised to ride home with Camila that afternoon because she didn't have practice after school. She got her stuff out of her locker as quickly as she could and turned to head down the hall when she ran into someone. "Sorry." Lauren said as she dropped her bag.

"Watch where you're going loser." Keaton said as he walked past her, shoving her a little harder than necessary. She sighed as she picked up her bag and headed outside.

Lauren instantly spotted Camila sitting in her car, so she quickly walked over and got in the passenger side. "Sorry I'm late." She said as she put her bag between her legs on the ground.

Camila took a deep breath and smiled when she heard the door open. She turned her head and shook it. "Don't worry about it, baby. How was your day?" She wanted to greet her the way a real girlfriend should, but she knew Lauren wouldn't let her in the middle of the school's parking lot. She smiled and pulled out of the parking lot. Once they were out, she reached over and held onto Lauren's hand. "I've missed you." She ran her thumb against the back of her hand.

The raven-haired girl wanted to kiss Camila the second that she got into the car, but there were still a lot of people left at the school and in the parking lot. She put on her seatbelt as Camila started to drive away. "My day was the usual." Lauren said as she sighed. Camila knew that school wasn't easy for her, but the older girl chose not to talk about it with her girlfriend. "How was yours?" She asked softly. She smiled when her girlfriend laced their fingers together. "You saw me in 3 different classes today." She laughed softly, "But nevertheless, I missed you, too."

Camila shrugged. "It would have been better if Mr. Crotchgrabber wouldn't have gotten after me for asking that question in class. It was an innocent question!" She smirked, knowing the question in health class was anything but innocent. The question came out dirty and she knew it, but she really wanted to see her girlfriend's reaction from across the room. The older girl reacted just as Camila suspected she would, Lauren turned beat red and uncomfortably got up to go to the bathroom. "But whatever." She stopped at a red light and bit down on her lip, glancing over at her girlfriend. "I might have seen you but... you were kind of on the other side of the classroom. I missed hearing your voice."

Lauren gently ran her thumb over Camila's knuckles as the girl drove. She shook her head and laughed softly, "That was a terrible question to ask in class. You knew that everyone would laugh...and you especially knew what it would do to me," She mumbled the last part. Lauren looked out the window as her girlfriend drove them home. She looked over at Camila again and nodded her head slowly. "I know. I don't like talking in class, so you'll have to get used to not hearing my voice in school." She said softly.

The younger girl smiled when she heard Lauren laugh. She looked over at her and smiled. "Well... whatever. I saw you holding back a laugh so don't go there with me, Laur," she teased, continuing to drive home. "I wish you would talk in class. You might teach everyone something."

"I was trying not to laugh at how ridiculous of a question it was. And I was also trying not to get turned on." Lauren mumbled softly as Camila turned onto the street leading to their houses. She shook her head, "I don't need to give people any more of a reason to make fun of me." She said as she watched Camila pull into the driveway.

Camila turned the corner to go to their houses and frowned. "Why would people make fun of you? If anything, they'll be jealous of you," she smiled. "Or me. I know of a couple of girls who dig you. They're just shy. I'm glad I made a move first," she unbuckled her seatbelt and turned off the car.

"I couldn't keep my eyes off of you in class though. All I wanted to do was go over and hug you and not let go." Lauren said quietly as their conversation lulled a little. The hockey player sat in the back of the room by herself and Camila sat in the middle on the completely other side. She knew the girl had been stealing glances all day, too.

Camila smiled and blushed. "You could have if you wanted to. Whenever you're ready."

"I know that...I just...still am not ready for it." Lauren said softly as she took off her seatbelt, "Whose house?" She asked Camila as she reached across to cup the girl's cheek.

"Well... we could go to mine. My sister is with my parents and my parents went to visit my grandma in the city. Besides, it's quiet and I do need some help 'studying'." Camila knew that was a lie and she didn't need help. But she knew how Lauren liked doing her homework so she would put up with having to do it for a few hours.

Lauren shook her head, "Also, stop telling lies. There's no one interested in me besides you." She said as she got out of the car. She nodded her head as she waited for Camila to follow her up the steps so the girl could unlock the door. Lauren followed Camila in the house before taking her shoes off. "You need my help studying?" She asked as she took her jacket off. "What class do you need help with?" She asked as she picked her back up again. "Where are we doing stuff?" Lauren asked her girlfriend.

Camila shook her head. "I'm not lying to you," she leaned over and pressed their lips together for a quick kiss. "I'll find some way to prove it." She got out of the car and locked it, heading up the stairs to unlock the house. She stepped in and to the side so Lauren could come in and took off her boots and jacket. "We could go downstairs or we could stay up here. It's your choice. First, I need something to drink. Want a water, soda, or some hot chocolate?" She smiled and walked towards the kitchen, hoping Lauren would follow.

Lauren looked at Camila as she walked into the kitchen. Her girlfriend was always one to put off homework...she sighed and followed Camila into the kitchen. She leaned against the doorway as she spoke, "Downstairs is fine." Lauren said as she adjusted her backpack on her shoulder. She looked at Camila, "I'll just take water." She said, kind of wanting to get downstairs to start her homework. She watched as her girlfriend took her time in the kitchen, "Are you gonna take forever? I'm just going to head downstairs." She said as she started to back out of the doorway.

The cheerleader nodded at her girlfriend's request. "Water is it." She reached in and handed Lauren a bottle of water before working on some hot chocolate for herself. She looked over at her. "Hey, are you okay? You've been acting kind of strange." She walked over to Lauren and put her hands on her hips. "What's wrong?" She asked, brushing some hair from Lauren's eyes. "All I'm doing is heating up some water. I can't make it boil in an instant, babe."

Lauren took the bottle of water from her girlfriend and opened it to take a drink. Camila stopped her before successfully leaving the kitchen. "I'm fine." She said as Camila's hands touched her hips. Lauren looked at Camila in the eye and leaned in to give her a quick peck. "I know it's not going to boil quickly...I just. I want to finish my stuff for tomorrow." She said as she took another drink from her water.

Camila shook her head. She knew that Lauren was lying. She always did. She was a horrible liar. "As much as I enjoyed that quick kiss, I know that you're not telling me the truth. So what happened?" She asked, putting two fingers between Lauren's belt loops on both sides to keep her there.

The older girl hated talking to Camila about anything that happened at school. She knew if she told Camila the girl would flip out at whoever it was...and she didn't want any more attention drawn to herself. "I'm fine, Camila." Lauren said sincerely. She sighed softly as the girl hooked her fingers in her belt loops. She leaned in to kiss Camila quickly again. "I promise. I'm fine." She said as she shifted her backpack higher up on her shoulder.

Camila frowned and nodded. "Okay..." She released Lauren and turned around. She knew there was something up and she would figure it out eventually. "Go ahead and go downstairs and I'll be there in a minute. The water is almost done, babe." She reached up into the cupboard and pulled out a coffee cup for her cocoa. She emptied the package in and put a little bit of cinnamon in with it. She put a splash of milk in the bottom and stirred that up so it was like a thick paste before putting the water in it. She was surprised that Lauren chose water over it. She thought Lauren loved her cocoa. Maybe she was just being shy, per usual. She knew the older girl didn't like to inconvenience anyone, but she couldn't help but feel like there was something wrong with her girlfriend.

Lauren nodded as Camila told her she could go downstairs. She watched as her girlfriend walked back toward the stove before turning around and heading down to Camila's room. She turned on the light and went over to the chair in the corner of her girlfriend's room and pulled out her book to start reading it. Lauren didn't mean to be distant or strange. She just hated talking to Camila about the things people would say to her at school. She really just hated being at school in general.

Camila grabbed her cup and backpack, moving downstairs. She saw her girlfriend in the chair in the corner and sat down on the bed after putting the cup down on the nightstand. "To answer your previous question... I'm having problems in English Lit." She frowned. "The essay question is confusing as hell and I'm just kind of stressing out about it."

The hockey player was reading the novel for their class when her girlfriend came down the stairs. She looked up as Camila started to talk and get settled on her bed. "Yeah?" Lauren asked, putting her bookmark in the page. She was ahead in reading for the book, and was just trying to get it finished. She looked over at Camila, "Why are you confused? Which question is it?" She asked as she looked at the younger girl.

Camila pulled out the paper. "He gave me Essay 3... I don't even care about government. I don't care about any of that stuff so why am I being forced against my will to take it? The teacher is a dumbass who forces his own opinions on us." She pouted and looked over at Lauren. "Can you help?"

Lauren sighed as she heard her girlfriend speak. She didn't know the question, so she had to read Camila's paper. She climbed on the bed and picked it up, reading it over really quick. "It's a necessary class...unless you'd rather everyone be ignorant to how things work when we get older." Lauren said as she read the question again. She sighed and pulled Camila's book over, flipping to one of the pages. "Read this section. It will give you some ideas for an answer." She said.

Camila and Lauren hadn't been together for long but she couldn't get enough of her. So when Lauren came over and laid down on the bed to read the question. She sighed. "Do you know how cute you look when you're concentrating?" She scooted over to her and placed a hand on her lower back, gently rubbing it. "And you're tense. Do you want a massage? From what I hear, I'm good with my hands."

Lauren continued to turn the pages in Camila's book, marking places that would help Camila to answer the question that she was asked. She looked up at Camila as the girl started to talk again. "I am not." She said as she felt her girlfriend's hand on her lower back. Lauren looked at Camila, "I don't need a massage. You need to do your essay." She said as she gave Camila a stern look. She usually tried to get her homework done before hanging out with Camila because as of late it always turned into cuddling and watching movies, and maybe a bit of making out.

The younger girl sighed as her girlfriend rejected her and leaned back again. "What I need is to get some attention from my girlfriend before I start the essay... then maybe I could concentrate," she countered, taking out a notebook to work on the rough draft. She grabbed the book and started to write in it slowly. She was hoping that the look she was sporting on her face was enough to make Lauren feel bad enough to give her a few (or a hundred, she wouldn't complain) kisses.

Lauren rolled her eyes as she pushed the book in front of her girlfriend. She knew that she wasn't giving her girlfriend as much attention as she wanted...and she kind of felt bad about it. "Why do you need my attention? What kind of attention do you need?" Lauren asked softly. She looked up at Camila as the girl pouted. She just stared at the girl as she waited for a response.

Camila held in a smile. "Oh, you know, the girlfriend kind of attention. Instead of you sitting over there you need to stay over here and be close to me." She finished off a sentence of her intro and looked over at her, her head still on a pillow. "I'm sorry... I just know that something's wrong and it kind of hurts that you don't trust me enough to talk to me about it."

The hockey player looked up at her girlfriend as Camila put her pencil down. She moved up so she was next to her girlfriend. She gazed into Camila's eyes, "I'm fine, Camila. There's nothing wrong." Lauren said as she put her hand on Camila's hip. She did have to talk to the girl about something though. She leaned in to kiss Camila softly. She pulled their bodies together so that they were touching in every place possible. "I have to talk to you about something though."

Camila narrowed her eyes and looked over at her, placing a hand on Lauren's. "What do you want to talk about?" She whispered. "And should I be scared? Because the 'I have to talk to you' doesn't sound promising... and usually ends badly." Though, given their position, it might end well. She leaned up and kissed her softly.

Lauren kissed Camila again before pulling back and brushing some hair from the girl's face. "It's nothing bad." She said. "You just might not be too happy." She stated. They had been spending all of their free time together since becoming official. Lauren brushed her fingers over Camila's cheek. "I'm going out of town starting Thursday." She said softly. "I'll be gone until Sunday for a hockey tournament." She said as she looked at her girlfriend.

Camila frowned. Lauren was leaving for four days? "Oh..." She didn't like that but then smiled. "Well, I'm going to cheer for you and you better call me after each game." She placed her hand on Lauren's side and gripped her shirt. "Please? Promise? And where is it at? Maybe I can go to a game." She had something to do on Friday but maybe she could go on Saturday. "If you want me to, that is."

Lauren frowned softly, "I know...it seems like a long time." She said softly. "I'm going by myself...my mom is letting me take her car." She explained. Lauren nodded, "I will call you after every game...but I was more or less hoping you would want to come with me." She said shyly. She didn't know if Camila would want to or not, but it was worth a shot. "It's in Minneapolis. So like... 6 hours from here." Lauren said, "I understand if you don't want to or can't come...but I would really like you to be there."

The young Latina bit own on her lip. Hm. Four days with Lauren or four days without. That was an easy choice. "Well... I had a cheer thing on Friday but I could definitely cancel that since I'm the captain. Most of the girls know the routine anyway. Coach wants us ready for the competition next month. So I'll tell you what... if I go to your game, you go to mine," she smiled, leaned up and gave her a soft kiss. "We can take turns driving if you want. Three hours each."

Lauren listened to Camila as she talked, "You mean like me going to your cheer competition in a month?" She asked, making a weird face. She didn't like going to the school events that everyone went to. Lauren sighed and nodded, it was an easy compromise. "Fine I'll go. I guess seeing you in a mini skirt will make up for it." She joked softly. She shook her head, "I can do the whole drive. You don't have to. I've done it plenty of times." She said as she wrapped her arms around Camila again.

Camila nodded. "Fine, you don't have to go if you don't want to," she laughed, "but then I won't go to cheer you on. You gotta give, babe." She closed her eyes and relaxed, putting her head in the crook of Lauren's neck. "If I promise to set my phone for an hour from now, can we just cuddle for a little bit?" She whispered. "I promise to do the essay and let you do your work I just want some Lauren-time right now."

Lauren sighed and held Camila closer. She would do anything to make her girlfriend happy. She closed her eyes as Camila's face went into her neck. "That's fine. Just don't get upset if I fall asleep." Lauren said softly as she gently ran her fingertips over Camila's back. "I didn't sleep well last night." She said softly. She was up trying to finish all of her stuff that she knew she wouldn't have time to do this weekend. Lauren kissed the top of Camila's head.

Camila nodded. She didn't fall asleep either. She had to finish the assignment that was due today and didn't finish it until 2 in the morning. "Well, I won't get mad at you if you won't get mad at me..." She kissed her neck and curled into her. "How about 2 hours? We get 2 hours to sleep and wake up refreshed for the essay and homework?" She pulled her head from Lauren's neck to look at her. "Sound good?"

Lauren shook her head as she nuzzled further into thepillow. "Mhm. Two." She said tiredly as she felt Camila curl into hermore. She lazily kissed the girl's lips before burying her face into the pillow. Lauren waited for Camila to finish setting her alarm before pulling the younger girl closer to her and starting to drift off for a nap.
