Several more months later because you know, time passes
It was a beautiful day. Sun shining, birds chirping, gay ships getting married.
Yeah you heard me.
Now my question is, who walks down the isle at a gay wedding? Coz I got no idea. But anyway.
Sam was standing in a room with Dean, before the wedding started. He was looking at the suit he was wearing in the mirror, making sure he looked okay.
"Hey Sammy," Dean said and Sam turned around to face him. "I'm not one for chick flick moments...but I'm proud of you."
"For getting married?" Sam asked.
"For talking to someone enough that they would want to marry your ugly mug," Dean teased. "Seriously though...I'm glad you're happy." Sam smiled and before Dean could protest he stepped forwards and pulled him into a hug. Dean smiled and returned the hug.
Now for the sake of not knowing what to do, Gabe ended up being the one to stand at the altar while Sam walked down the isle. Mainly coz Sam wanted to walk down with his dad despite never really talking to him. It was about time they fixed the father son relationship.
John was waiting for his son just around the corner from the isle.
"Sam," he said in way of greeting. Sam smiled softly.
"Hey Dad," he said, and John stopped a bit in surprise. "You know...I never said thank you."
"What for?" John asked.
"I never talked to you," Sam said. "But you didn't give up. And you taught me sign language."
"Well of course," John said. "You're my son aren't you?" Sam just smiled and hugged his dad.
And thus the wedding began.
There weren't many guests, just the Novak's and the Winchester's, as well as several of their friends. Although the Novak's alone, there really is a lot of them. Especially if you count the cousins too.
Sam walked down the isle and stood with a really happy Gabriel at the altar. They went through the ceremony, said their vows. Sam actually used sign language for the vows seeing as there was a lot of people watching them, but he did it slow enough that Gabe would be able to understand.
And then they both said 'I do', Sam's spoken aloud this time. And they kissed, sealing the marriage and binding them together forever.
The reception was held at some nice little location. Sam and Gabe were holding hands and hadn't let go the entire time.
"So," Sam said quietly as they sat next to each other at their table. "We're married."
Gabe laughed. "Yes we are." He put his other hand on top of their joint ones and brought them up to lean on the table. "I'll admit, this is possibly the greatest moment of my life."
"Even ahead of when I first talked to you properly?" Sam said, smiling fondly at his husband.
"That was pretty great too," Gabe said, smiling. "Pretty much any moment I spend with you is one of the happiest times in my life."
"Better get used to it then," Sam said.
"Oh get a room," Dean muttered from where he was also sitting at the table. Charlie was there too, as well as Kevin. Charlie had obviously been the maid of honour, and Dean had been the best man.
"Oh we will," Gabe said, smirking. "But that comes later."
Dean groaned. "I do not need to hear this. This is Sammy you're talking about." Sam just laughed and Dean tried to bury his head in his hands.
"Well I think you guys are adorable," Charlie said. "I can still remember that time you first met."
"I can still remember that time Gabe almost messed it up," Kevin teased.
"Hey woah no, we don't talk about that," Gabe said. Sam chuckled.
"It's okay, I forgave you a long time ago," Sam said, looking at Gabe fondly. Gabe smiled back at him, and Sam couldn't help leaning forwards to kiss him softly.
"Come on guys, save it for later," Dean said.
"What, like you will with Cas?" Charlie said and Gabe stared at her with wide eyes.
"You did not just say that," Gabe said. "No. That's my baby brother. No."
"What did I miss?" Cas said, walking over to sit in his seat beside Dean.
"Nothing," Gabe said. "Absolutely nothing that needs to be repeated."
"Your tone suggests whatever it was made you uncomfortable," Cas said, tilting his head. "But you mentioned me."
"No," Gabe said as Dean started smirking. "Don't say another word. Anyone. Just everyone shut up."
Sam smirked and leaned in close to Gabe. "Make me," he whispered and then leaned back innocently. Gabe glared at him.
"Oh I will," he said.
"I look forward to it," Sam said.
"I don't want to know what was just said," Dean said.
"What is this, a couple war?" Charlie said. "You're both adorable and flirty, we get it."
"Yeah, stop making other people awkward," Dean muttered.
"Oh I wasn't trying to stop you guys," Charlie said. "Go ahead. Start a war. It'll be amusing."
"That sounded slightly insane," Gabe said.
"Blame the author," Luci said, appearing from nowhere. "She's been watching too much Gotham, lots of fun psychopaths in that."
"Luci for hells sake, stop doing this," Michael said, appearing next to Luci, glaring at him.
"But I wanna join the couple war," Luci said, frowning. Michael just glared before dragging Luci off.
"I still don't understand them," Charlie said.
"I don't think I ever will," Gabe said. "Anyway." He stood up and held his hand out to Sam. "Care to dance." Sam smiled brightly and took Gabe's hand.
They walked out onto the dance floor and danced together. Alone for the first song with guests fangirling over how cute they were, and then other people started joining.
The night went on, until it was time for people to go home. Well, Sam and Gabe left before that. They had some hotel booked for that night, before they left for their honeymoon the next day.
They half ran into the room, both kind of giddy and laughing. Sam closed the door behind him and pulled Gabe into his arms, kissing him. Gabe put his arms behind Sam's neck and pulled him down for a better angle.
"Gabe," Sam said, pulling away. Gabe pouted and Sam laughed. "Come on, I wanna say something."
"You chose now to?" Gabe asked, still with his arms around Sam's neck.
"There were people before," Sam said and Gabe just nodded in understanding. "So Gabe...you know I love you. More than anything in this world. There aren't words to describe how happy you've made me. And you taught me how to speak again..."
"Well of course," Gabe said, smiling softly. Sam smiled back.
"So, Gabriel, I love you, I'll be with you till the end of the line." Sam smiled as Gabe's eyes lit up with recognition of the quote. "Waiting for the right partner was worth it. And love is not an emotion, love is a promise, and I promise I'll always be here because you are my family now, because family don't end in blood. And one more thing, Gabriel Novak, I..." Sam trailed off, biting his lip as he waited for Gabe to get the last part.
"Did you just pull a Rose Tyler on me?" Gabe asked after a moment. "You cruel person. How dare you." Sam laughed. "Also, that was Stucky, Cap, Doctor Capaldi, and a fourth wall break." Sam just laughed again, and Gabe smiled softly up at him. "I love you Sam."
"I know," Sam said, smirking.
"Oh don't you Han Solo me," Gabe said, lightly hitting Sam on the head. Sam chuckled.
"I love you too," he said, before leaning down to kiss Gabe again.

They were happy. Of course they were. Time passed them by, but they were always together, not even time could tear them apart.
Cas and Dean got married eventually, and Charlie just said I told you so to Gabe, who glared at her. Sam dragged Gabe off by distracting him with other specific things before he murdered someone.
Sam talked more and more, before it was barely noticeable that once upon a time he had a speech problem. He and Gabe lived happily together, and maybe they adopted kids at some point. And these kids were of course not named after TV show characters that the quotes from had brought them together.
Quotes. That's how this all started. That's what brought them together, what kept them together. That's how their lives began. And all it took to make these two people the happiest alive, was simple. All it took was a quote in the quiet.
