this will be a cleansing chapter. i'm not gonna spoil it, but all i'm saying, is that everything sad beyond this chapter is nonexistent. and also it could contain some bad stuff so skip if you just want happy chapters next

ashton woke up with a feeling of dread heavy on his heart. he could already predict his day. it was going to turn out horrible.
the boy stood up and dragged his tired legs into the bathroom. he moved around zombie like and stripped out his clothes and turned the water on.
once it was warm enough, he stepped inside and started showering. he stayed in there a few minutes longer since the water allowed him to relax his muscles and clear his mind.
when he decided he was in there long enough, ashton got out and wrapped a towel around his waist. he wrapped a towel around his wet hair and walked out the bathroom. he proceeded to dry off with the towel and get dressed in black underwear, black ripped shorts, a black shirt, and a floral bomber jacket.
ashton returned to his bathroom and plugged in his blow drier. he took the towel off his head and started drying his hair with the tool. he lifted and twisted his hair to get every part.
ashton finished and brushed his teeth while he was there. he hummed lyrics and shook his hips to the music playing on his television.
ashton spit out the remaining toothpaste in his mouth and washed off his toothbrush. he put it down and left out. he grabbed his phone and sat on his bed.
ashton put on his socks and shoes and tossed his back over his shoulder. he sprayed perfume on his body and spread chapstick over his pink, thin lips. ashton figured he looked presentable and walked out from his room.
he went downstairs and found his mom and sister in the kitchen, "good morning!"
the girls replied with the same sayings as ashton grabbed a glass and poured himself some orange juice. by the time he finished and sat down, his mom had already set out the plates on the table.
he kissed her on the cheek and thanked her for the food before sitting down and digging in. they three held a steady conversation while eating and finished at the same time.
arabella and ashton put their dishes in the sink before hugging their mother goodbye and leaving together.
the pair stayed silent for a few minutes before ashton decided to speak up, "so, how's you and katrina?"
arabella sighed, "we decided to stay friends."
ashton pouted, "why? you guys were so cute."
arabella shrugged and shifted the bag on her back, "no idea. so, how's you and the boys?"
ashton smiled at the thought of them. he smiled and responded how their relationship was good. arabella nodded at her brother's fond reaction. she loved how happy they made him.
after talking about random stuff, the siblings reached school. ashton said bye and katrina nodded and left to find the group of friends she had gathered. ashton left to find his boyfriends.
ashton dodged people in the crowded hallways until he reached luke's locker and smiled once seeing the seniors there. he decided to call out to them, "hey!"
as the boys heard ashton's voice and immediately stopped talking. ashton jogged over to his boys and looked up at all of them, "what were you discussing?"
"uh..." luke trailed off and darted his eyes between calum and michael. he then smiled and looked down at ashton, "nothing, princess."
ashton nodded, "i have cheer tonight."
michael nodded, "you want us to stay?"
ashton pondered for some time. he was going to say yes just in case they ever came back. they surely wouldn't hurt him when they're there. he then spotted the males glaring at him from across the hallway.
ashton shook his head no quickly and stammered out an excuse. the boys noticed his sudden change of attitude and gave each other knowing looks. michael decided to speak up, "okay, if you say so. we'll see you later okay?"
ashton nodded and kissed all of them quickly before speed walking away. calum, luke, and michael all smiled fondly before walking to class together.

ashton stood in the locker room alone. he was slipping his cheer skirt uniform over his spandex shorts. he fixed his top and was getting ready to walk out when two guys pushed him back in.
"where are you going?" one of them said.
ashton rolled his eyes and back away, "to cheer. just leave me alone. all i ask for is a happy school year without any problems. all i want is a happy life."
ashton couldn't help but to get a little bit choked up on the last sentence. he realized how sad his life was. how he didn't deserve this. the poor kid was only fourteen years old and he had experience so much terror.
next thing ashton knows is that he was kicking and screeching while clawing one of their faces. he broke free from them and climbed on a bench. he hoisted himself up on top of the lockers and hugged his knees into his chest. he just wish someone could come and save him.
meanwhile outside on the field, everyone wondered where ashton was. he was never late to practice, they wonder what could have happened.
"hey guys," two girls, katie and sam, stood up, "we're gonna go check on ashton."
everyone nodded and watched them leave. they went back inside and walked towards the locker room. they went inside and what they expected to see was nothing like it.
katie, one of the girls, screamed and distracted the guys. they turned and looked at her in confusion. on the side, sam took one of the batons they used and hit one of them over the head. he fell down and groaned at the pain in his head.
katie grabbed her phone that she hid in her bra and called the police. they picked up and she proceeded on saying the situation. they told her to calm down and they were on the way.
sam kept beating the guys. katie looked around frantically until she found ashton on top of the lockers, crying his eyes out. she stood on the bench that reached him and lured him down. she safely got him down and out of the room.
minutes later, the police arrived and they hurried to the locker room to find the guys pinned to the ground. they pushed sam out of the way and put handcuffs around their wrists.
they got pulled up harshly and taken out of the school. the boys shouted profanity at ashton and the two girls. ashton chewed his nails and closed his eyes, trying to block out their harsh words.
ashton got out his phone and called arabella. the phone rung before she picked up letting out a soft, "hello?"
ashton sniffled, "could you come to school? things broke out and i just want you here. bring calum, luke, and michael too."
arabella nodded even though ashton couldn't see her, "of course. i'll be there in a few."
they hung up and not even five seconds later, arabella was throwing on some clothes and calling calum. she told him the situation and told him to tell the others. he frantically agreed and hung up quickly.
since calum was already laying down with luke and michael, he told them everything right then and there. they both hoped up and rushed out of the house and into the car.
calum sped all the way to school and quickly parked at the scene. him and the boys hurried out and started searching for ashton. they shouted his name and dodged people.
arabella on the other hand, got there by pedaling fast on her bike. she immediately hopped off the metal contraption and dropped it on the pavement before searching for ashton.
she found her curly headed brother and ran to him. since she has been working out a little, she was able to hug ashton and squeeze him with so much force he couldn't breathe. she was just so happy he was okay.
suddenly, they heard voices screaming his name. arabella spotted the three seniors and waved them over. when they spotted the tall girl waving them over, they sprinted and pushed past everyone.
tears started to spill over when ashton spotted the guys he loved. he ran into their open arms and sobbed into their chests.
"you're safe baby, it's okay." luke comforted ashton. michael ran his fingers through his floppy hair, toying with the curls.
"y-you said t-th-that l-last t-t-time." ashton stuttered and hiccuped.
calum bit his lip, "we promise it now, seriously. we're going to make sure you have a happy life. sure there's gonna be up's and down's, but we'll do our best to keep you safe."
ashton couldn't help but melt at his words. his voice was just so soothing, it made him feel like everything was gonna be okay. he felt safe.
ashton nodded and decided to trust them. he cuddled the guys until they were allowed to go home and rest. even then, he didn't let go. he fell asleep in the comfort of their arms.

okay wow this was honestly such shit chapter. but guys have y'all heard the b-sides and rarities?? i'm crying they're so beautiful i've been blessed. i am reborned i am resurrected i will make it through life i will survive.
