Brent's POV
Mom immediately enveloped me in a hug the moment we entered the house. "Aww. . . I missed you, anak."
I hugged her back and told her that I missed her too. Humiwalay siya ng yakap sakin saka humalik naman kay Brian.
Actually, Brian is my older brother but I don't feel like calling him 'Kuya' since he's just two years older than me.
Nagpaalam na rin siya agad and said na magpapahinga na daw siya while I stayed with Mom for a while.
"So how's your grand parents there?" Tanong sa akin ni Mom.
"Ah, they're fine. I think they're fine kahit siguro wala ako do'n or the helpers." I replied.
Maski nga ako nagulat when I saw na malakas pa rin sila. I last saw them when I was ten bago sila tumira sa Canada at ngayon eighteen na ako pero parang hindi pa rin sila tumatanda.
They even insisted na pumasyal kami dahil nga daw sandali lang ako do'n.
"Well, that's good to know." She said while smiling. "I think you should rest now, bukas din papasamahan kita sa Kuya mo para makapag-enroll ka na."
I kissed her good night saka ako pumunta sa kwarto then jumped into my bed.
God! How I missed this fucking bed!

"Bro. Hey, bro." Nagising ako because of Brian's voice while he's shaking me. "Get up. I need you to do me a favor."
Loko 'to ah! Hindi na nga ako ginising ng maayos tapos mag-uutos pa?!
"Ano na naman?! Ilang oras pa lang ako nakatulog. I can't even call that a decent sleep." I complained.
Ewan ko ba naman kasi kung bakit hindi agad ako nakatulog kagabi. It feels like my whole body suddenly felt tired kaya hindi ako inantok kaagad kagabi.
"Bro, pwede ikaw muna sumundo kay Veronica?"
"What? Ayoko!" Biglang nawala ang antok ko when he asked me that. Tsk. Ang aga-aga makakaharap ko na naman yung babaeng 'yon? No!
"Come on! I know that you both didn't have a good start. But she's nice. You'll eventually get along, just give it some time." He said, trying to convince me but it didn't change my mind so I still refused.
"Bro ayoko talaga! Tsaka puyat nga ako I don't think I can drive."
"Ugh! Please naman, I have early classes today at male-late na ako kaya wag ka nang maarte!" Naiiritang sabi niya.
Tsk. Loko 'to ah! Nag-uutos na nga lang tapos sinabihan pa ako ng maarte? Bakit? Girlfriend ko ba 'yon?
"Fine! But promise me that I'll have your car for two weeks. Ano?" Hamon ko sa kanya.
"Okay, okay. Whatever you say just go." He answered without even thinking then he stormed out of my room.
Ganon na 'yon? Pumayag siya agad para lang sa girlfriend niya? Unlike before na pahihirapan niya muna ako before he let me have his car just for one day.
Pero ngayon napa-payag ko siya agad? Kaya ayoko magka-girlfriend eh. Mababaliw rin ako.
I fixed myself then I drove to Veronica's house to pick her up just like what my brother said.
Susungitan lang ulit ako ng babaeng 'yon but who cares?
At least, I'll have Brian's fucking Porsche for two weeks. Ha-ha!

I stopped in front of Veronica's house. I saw a lady who looks like in her mid-30's so I greeted her.
"Good morning, ma'am. I'm Brent Lopez. Kapatid ko po si Brian, Veronica's boyfriend." I introduced. "Ah, is she there? Hindi po kasi siya masusundo ni Brian because he has early classes so he asked me to pick her up."
"Yes, she's inside." She answered while smiling. "By the way, I'm her mother. Tanya Tuazon."
Medyo nagulat ako when she said that. I expected na kakilala siya nila Veronica because she looks like she just got out of their house but I never thought that she's her mother. Parang ang bata pa.
She invited me to come in kaya sumunod ako.
"Medyo hawig nga kayo ni Brian 'no? You have the same eyes and lips." She commented, I just gave her a smile. People always say that so I already got used to it. "And I noticed that you're using his car."
Do'n naman ako lalong napa-ngiti remembering how I got it easily.
"Veronica, hindi ka daw pala masusundo ni Brian ngayon. Kaya Brent is here to pick you up." Mrs. Tuazon called when we entered the dining area.
Medyo nagulat naman ako sa nakita ko pero syempre hindi ako nagpa-halata.
At first I thought na biglang nag-iba ang kulay ng buhok ni Veronica, from blonde it became brown. But I soon realize na hindi si Veronica 'yon, kamukha niya lang. I think it's her twin sister. Wala kasi talagang difference ang mukha nila, yung buhok lang talaga.
I looked at the other side of the table and saw another pair of twins. They are two young boys na sobrang magkamukha din.
Whoa. Apat silang magkakapatid and they're both twins. Cool.
"Uhm, Nay, I think I'll just take a cab papuntang school." Naputol lang ang pag-iisip ko when Veronica spoke.
"What? Sumama ka na kay Brent. It's safer kesa mag-commute ka." Mrs. Tuazon said.
Well, kung hindi sasama sakin si Veronica, mas okay 'yon.
"No, 'Nay. It's fine, really." Katwiran niya. "Tsaka sabay naman kami ni Veera."
"Huh? 11 pa pasok ko 'pag Monday." Sabi naman nung Veronica na brown yung buhok. Veera pala ang pangalan niya.
Nilakihan naman siya ng mata ni Veronica as if she's saying something to her.
"O, ipapahatid ko na lang mamaya si Veera sa driver natin. Sumama ka na kay Brent." Her mom said again.
"Ahh, magpapahatid na lang rin po ako kay Kuya driver."
"Anak, sumama ka na kay Brent. Nag-effort na ngang pumunta yung tao dito just to pick you up."
Actually, it's for the Porsche. I wanted to add.
Veronica let out an exasperated sigh before she stood up. "Okay po."
She walked past me and rolled her eyes when our gazes met.
"Sige po, ma'am. We gotta go." I told her Mom then I followed her.
Napa-buntong hininga na lang ako. I think our bickering will start again. Tsk.
