I was completely shocked.
What in the just world happened? Everything happened so fast. I glanced at Derek, who was shaking in anger. I put my hand on his, to calm him down a bit so he could explain to me what just happened.
"Sorry," He mumbled.
"For what..?" I asked.
"For practically kidnapping you," He replied.
"Hey Derek," I said, softly.
"Hey Maddy," He said teasingly.
"What in the world just happened back there?" I asked. His eyes meet mine.
"Your dad's a crazy bastard," He snapped.
"Do you think he did that because Mom died..?" I asked, tears filling my eyes. "Maybe this is my fault. If I hadn't of done out maybe he wouldn't have snapped? Or maybe it's because I look like my mom. Or-"
Derek suddenly slammed his lips against mine. My eyes closed as he pulled away.
"You're thinking too much," He said. "Just chill out. You're with me."
"B-b-but-"
"No buts. Just shut up and enjoy the ride," Derek snapped. I glared at him. "Stop trying to burn a whole in my head. That's not very nice."
"So... Where we going..?" I asked.
Derek smirked. "Surprise,"

"Maddy!" Derek said, softly, shaking me. Slowly I opened my eyes.
"Hello," I mumbled. Derek grinned.
"Hi," He replied.
"What are we doing?" I asked.
"Well, if you got up, then you'd know," Derek said. I groaned as I sat up straight. A grin slowly formed onto my face as I realized we were at my favorite place. The carnival. I turned to Derek and kissed his cheek before hopping out the car and toward my favorite destination.
