Chapter 34: I'm Sorry

"Jason. Come get your stuff off the counter please." I say.

Jason left all his stuff on the kitchen counter. I see Jason run in. He grabs his stuff and walks behind me. I turn around. He gives me a kiss. I feel so guilty. I pull away and frown.

"Not good enough?" Jason says frowning too.

I pull him over and he puts his stuff down. He puts a frown on his face too. I give him another kiss to reassure things. I pull away and I put on a bigger frown.

"You still love Mitch.." He says, like reading my mind.

I nod.

"I'm so sorry Jason." I say.

He gives me a hug. I embrace him. When we pull away, I smile. He wipes away a tear I didn't even realize was there. I grab his hand and guide him to the living room. We sit together. I lean on his shoulder.

"Even if we aren't a couple, you'll always be my one and only Kelly." He says, after silence.

After 10 minutes, I look over and see him asleep. He looks so peaceful. I rest myself on him.

"I'm sorry Jason."
