Makenzie's pov
There was so much going through my head I couldn't think stairght in school at lunch I sat next to maci and laci they looked so sad
"whats wrong"
"we have something to tell you we just can't do it we became really close to you and it wouldn't be right if we kept doing this just promise us we can still be friends when we tell you this"
"what did you guys do"
"Jace wanted us to spy on you to get you to forgive him he's our cousin"
"so this whole time you guys were just spying on because Jace told you to this whole thing was fake"I can't believe that they only did this cause Jace asked them to I can't believe him
"please don't be mad please please"I got up and walked away I just needed time to wrap my head round things I thought I could trust them
Jace came and grabbed my arm
"Makenzie whats wrong"
"let go of me I just started to think that maybe I could give you another chance you and then I found out you have spies on me Jace really forget your second chance"
Lunch had ended and kids were filling the hall way
I walked away when he began to speak again
"I cried you know"he said in the halls the kids stopped and stared
"I did too Jace .your point?"kids started making a crowd
"I was scared that something bad happen to you I stayed up every night hoping that you were even still breathing"
"you couldn't have been that scared cause you did move on I felt it"he looked down but I wasn't going to give him mercy
"do you want to know what that felt like.well I'm going to tell you I feels like someone is stabbing you just a never ending flow of stabs still want to know more ok rejection feel like someone is take you soul away it felt like I was left with nothing left in me it felt like I was being turned inside out and I prayed the pain of it all would stop but it didn't and you say you want me and you say that you want forgiveness well earn it prove that you love me and that you want me for me and not for what I am now"
tears had been falling down my face
"Makenzie I know what I have done is wrong but how was I going to fix this you won't talk to me you won't look at me and I may not know what being reject may have felt like but I know what losing you feels like and I won't lose you again"
He looked down and smiled then looked back up at me he turned to the crowd of kids still there
"how many of you knew makenzie before she left and came back"
everyone raised their hands I don't know were this is going but I don't like it
"well I should have said this a long time ago this girl right here Makenzie Jaquline Vega is my mate I love her then and I love her now and damn sure happy to have her as my mate I was an asswhole and rejected her and that was my biggest mistake ever and if I could go back and change it I would I would have change alot of thing but I'm going to make up for it here and now I don't anyone else I don't need anyone else"
he turned to me and look at me in my eyes his lips were so close to mine "all I need is you but only if you give a chance please Makenzie I need you"he wiped my tear sending me chills everywhere
I didn't know what to say I can't believe he had done this infront of the whole school everyone had been looking at me waiting for an answer what was I going to say
"you have one chance and don't make me regret this Jace"
He smiled and kissed me licking my bottom lip asking for an entrance I gave him one
everyone around us had cheered us on we couldn't help but smile and break the kiss
end of the school day
The twins came running to me
"we heard what happen in the hallway with you and Jace and I know your probley still mad at us but please don't we didn't want to keep lying to you you became one of our really close friends and it just didn't feel right we didn't mean to hurt you"the started to ramble at once it was hard to make out what they were saying
"guys it ok just forget ok"
"no please don't be mad and we are prepared to hold you down until you forgive us"
"i do guys trust me I don't care anymore"
"you sure?" they looked like they didn't believe me
"yup I am"I smiled
they hugged the life out of me and left I shook my head and walked away I went in my car and on the passenger seat is a rose.
when I got home I saw damon he looked he had been waiting for me
"we need to talk"
