Giuseppe Verdi created Requiem, and Madame Butterfly
Jesus wrote the radical Sermon on the Mountain
Amadeus Mozart wrote Eine kleine Nachtmusik
Auguste Rodin created the Thinker, and the Kiss
William Shakespeare wrote Hamlet: To be or not to be
Frank Sinatra added: Do-be-do-be-do
Washington Roebling built Brooklyn bridge.

John Doe, Esquire, MBA - US Certified Stockbroker
in the business of making money, with other people's money
before it turns into dust altogether, reduced to rubble
Oh no, have no offspring, can't take it with me.

yet Doe lives in bigger houses, drives better cars
visits prettier prostitutes, and far more of them
life of stock-brokerish comfort, nonchalant Vanity Fair
baking caviar sponges for golden coffee mornings
hosting bridge evenings with steak and lobster
luncheons always start with sherry, end with fool.

Shrinking Violets, preciously vulnerable Daffodils
versus King Kong, the roaring Gorilla in the boardroom
while shyness is an under-rated form of suffering
over-confident stockbrokers make more noise
as they're fully licensed & insured.

That's their CFA core-business
that's what-they-do-for-a-living
empty vessels with deeper pockets
not much greater than life.
