After that...
Ren starts commuting to college from her parent's house....We can't see each other much, but even so , we're happy.
Time passes.
I've been training with Mr. Miyoka's wings ever since to help him manage one of his company..
Kasumi finally graduates after completely her 6th year at medical school. As we promise, we start planning our wedding.
....And then, time flies by in an instant.
The night before the wedding.
My housemates are gathered in the living room, having a lively night.
"Hey! Tommorow's Kasumi and Mina's wedding!" said Miyoko gleefully
"...Hehe , Yeah."
"A-ahaha. I'm kind of already nervous...."
"Really ? Pull yourself together you introperv.." said Yomiko
"We'll be going to the ceremony tomorrow, so..."
"Make sure you look good ! You're the bride and groom! added Raika
"Y-yes ! i'll try !" ( B-Bride and Groom..)
Hearing that , i suddenly become tense..
(Okay...! Let's make tomorrow the best wedding ever ..!!)
"Kasumi ! let's have a great day tomorrow !!" ( as if suggesting that would change a thing , tomorrow is definitely going to be a great day since it's our wedding..)
(Man , i'm really nervous am i...)
"Hmn ?....Kasumi ?"
"! Ah, Yeah ....."
"Yeah , let's have fun...."
(....she seems to be thinking something...)
Kasumi stands up...
"....Tommorow's and important day , so...i might go to bed."
"Yeah , you should get some rest.." Tegemi agreed.
"Yes....so, goodnight."
Kasumi leaves the room..
......We watch her leave wondering..
"Somehow...Kasumi seems a bit absent-minded tonight..." said Reimako
"Yeah...she's been like that a lot lately , i wonder why...?" said Yomiko wondering
"Ah! Maybe it's because of , um, marriage greens ?" uttered Miyoko
"....you mean , marriage blues ? " Yomiko corrected her..
"Yeah , that."
Miyoko nods, and place a hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sure Kasumi's happy about getting married, but...it's only natural that she's anxious too.."
"You need to support her ! Mina !"
"Ah....Y-yeah! Of course!"
".....We should probably go to be too." Tegemi suggested.
"Yeah.." said Reimako
And then , that night..
I go back to my room and lie down on my bed, but....
(......It's finally here huh ? , I can't believe it , it seems like yesterday , i can't sleep ...tomorrow's the wedding...)
(I'm also worried about Kasumi , ...Miyoko said she might be having marriage greens or blues , ...she might be having second thoughts about our wedding...)
...The more i think about it , the more worked up i get.
I decided to walk a while , since i can't sleep. i got out of bed and went out of my room..
as i walk down the hallway
....The veranda front door is open, and somebody is standing outside.
(Is...that ?)
(Kasumi ?)
I walk towards her as she seems to be thinking deeply while staring at the moonlight.
".......Kasumi ?"
"Ah , Mina..."
"W-what's wrong ? Going outside in the middle of the night...."
"U-um....well..."
Kasumi smiles, and looks up at the Famille'
"Tomorrows' our wedding, right ?" she ask
"Yeah."
"....When i thought about it, i became full of different emotions..."
"The next thing i know , i was out here..."
"...I see...."
....I was also full of many emotions, more over i'm really exited...maybe she felt the same way or maybe , she's having second thoughts about our wedding..
I'm really happy about this day, i been waiting all my life for this after all but , she might be not ...i love her really much and i don't want to rush her...this is a big life changing decision after all..
I stand next to Kasumi , and we look up at Famille' together.
"We have a lot of memories here..."
"Yeah...i met you and everyone else...."
"And then...we started dating..."
"When i started medical school it was really difficult , but...we managed to overcome that." she continues.
"......and now, tomorrow...."
"We'll be....married."
Tears fall from her eyes...
(M-maybe...She's suffering from marriage blues...?)
"Kasumi , i uh , listen...i love you and i really respect your decision , this ..well this is a life changing decision after all and i completely understand if you ...change your mind.."
She looks at me surprised but then smiled and giggle a little...
"Silly...."
"Y-you don't have to force yourself with the wedding..."
....After a while , she wipes the tears away using her sleeve..and smiles.
"....You're really silly , why would i want to change my mind...i'm not crying out of that.."
"...Then why ?"
"I'm...just so happy...."
Kasumi gently entwines her arms with mine. And then she speaks , as though remembering something.
"....I met everyone at the Famille, i chased my dreams of becoming a doctor ...and then ...tomorrow, i'll marry the person i love..."
"This is the first time i've ever been so happy..."
"I'm so happy...that i can't calm down..."
"A...Ahahahah, so that's why..."
(And that's why she's been so absent-minded lately...)
We slowly head back inside...a take a breath and look at her....
"....Me too , Kasumi.."
"Hmn....?"
"I've always been alone , all my life..as i wallowed in my loneliness and sadness i almost forgot how to smile and then i lived here met you , my black and white life starting to have color again..i never imagined i could be happy again..."
"After you moved back to your parents's house...i was lonely but..."
"....Yeah."
"You've finally come home to me though...and i'm really happy too.."
"..Mina."
Kasumi smiles , her face reddening slightly...
".....Thank you for always being there for me , for always waiting for me.."
"...and thank you for coming home, Kasumi."
"....Welcome home."
"I'm home...Mina."
With his eyes locked on Kasumi, he took a step closer. She wasn't sure her heart had ever pounded so fast in her life.
She notice a small scar on the bridge Mina's nose. For a fleeting moment she wondered who he got it. She wanted to know everything about the man standing in front of her. and more than anything , she wanted to feel his lips on hers...
Just as the longing became unbearable , Mina's lips met Kasumi. The warmth of his mouth sent a current running through her body. Kasumi threw her arms around Mina's neck as she lost herself in his peppermint breath and soft lips..
It's the sweetest , most gentle kiss.
Their heart overflows with love and Mina vow from the bottom of his heart. That he will keep protecting Kasumi forever....
