Melissa's POV
I sit in the passenger seat of Liam's car and watch everything pass by in a blur. We're heading to a restaurant where we are going to meet up with some friends that's in a couple of our classes.
I can't help but twiddle with my thumbs and bite my lip, something I do when I'm nervous. Thankfully, music was playing in the background so there wasn't any awkward silence.
"Thanks for drivi-" "Are you excit-" We say at the same time and then break into a fitful of laughter.
"You first," Liam says while following the GPS' direction and taking a left.
"I just want to say thanks for taking me," I said sending him a small smile.
"No need to thank me. We're going to the same place anyways," He says while glancing my way.
"So what we you gonna say," I said while looking out the window.
"Oh, are you excited for tonight? I've never been to Rubys!"
"What?! You've never been to Rubys? It's one of my favorite restaurants! They have the best burgers!" I exclaim. Sara and I go at least once month. It's become a little tradition of ours.
"Well, you'll have to show me your favorites!" He says chuckling.
The whole way consists of small talk and laughter until we pull up to the restaurant. We got out of his car and walked down the pier. It was beautiful out, the sun was setting and it felt great outside.
We got to the entrance and Liam held the door open for me. I thanked him and scurried in. We walked up to the hostess and I have him the reservation name.
The host, Jordan, was very attractive. He was very tall and well built. He had spiky black hair with dark blue eyes. I could feel his eyes rake my body. I started to feel a little uncomfortable.
"Follow me," Jordan said while starring at me. I could practically feel Liam's body tense from next to me. He put his hand on the small of my back and guided me towards Jordan. I blushed and walked forward.
We got to the table were all out friends were sitting. Two seats were empty. One chair was at one end of the table while the other empty chair was on the other side of the table. I say down and watched Liam say hello to everyone and make his way to his seat.
Our waitress came over and took our drink orders. I felt bad for the poor girl, she had to take care of 10 starving teenagers.
"What are you getting," Carrie, who was in all my Friday classes, asked. I looked down at the menu and looked at my options.
"The bacon cheeseburger," I said as my stomach growled. We laughed and waited for the waiter to come back with our drinks and took our orders.
"So what's up with you and pretty boy over there?" Lenzie asked. I looked up from my drink and looked over at Lenzie in confusion.
"What?" I raised my eyebrows at the curly haired girl.
"I said, what's going on with you and Liam?" Carrie restated. I glanced at the brown eyed boy and saw him chatting with our other friends. He caught me starring and winked before going back into his conversation.
"Nothing," I say but the heat in my cheeks gave my answer away. I've never felt comfortable talking about personal stuff unless it's with my family or Sara.
"Lies," Carrie and Lenzie say at the same time and start laughing.
"He's my neighbor, so he asked if I wanted to ride together. That's all," I said even though I knew it was a lie. I had started to develop this tiny crush after talking to him a lot lately.
"Okay, whatever," Carrie said as the good finally came.
We ate and we all stayed for a little longer and everyone was high with laughter when we decided it was time to leave.
We walked outside and I looked out up at the sky and saw that it was dark out. Everyone formed a circle and I was, once again, standing next to Liam. I checked my phone and saw that it said 8:47.
I shivered as a huge gust of wind blew by. It was starting to get pretty windy and my dress wasn't the warmest outfit to wear at the moment. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Liam shrugging off his leather coat.
Suddenly, Liam placed his jacket around my shoulders and put his arm around my waist.
"We can leave if you're too cold," He whispered in my ear.
"I'm good, but won't you be cold?" I whispered back.
"Nope, I'm fine. You're keeping me pretty warm," He said. I sent him a smile and turned my head to look at everyone.
"Okay, so how about next next Friday we go roller skating? If something changes, I'll just send a group message to everyone," James, the one who plans everything, spoke loudly.
We all agreed and headed to our cars. Liam and I walked over to his car and he opened the door for me.
"Why thank you, you kind sir," I said in a posh accent.
"You're so very welcome, my highness," He said and bowed. A laugh escaped my laugh as he shut the door and ran to the other side of the car. He got in and buckled up.
He backed out and we were on the highway, once again.
"Let's play 20 questions," Liam randomly said.
"Alrighty," I said. "You first."
"Favorite color?"
"Purple," I answered back immediately. He chuckled and I thought of a question. "Favorite animal."
"Monkeys," he answered just as fast.

We played the game until we parked his car in his driveway. We sat there for a moment before I turned towards him.
"I had an amazing time and thanks for driving me. Who knew road trios could be so entertaining," I said with a small giggle. "We should probably go in my house to see if Harry and Sara have killed each other yet."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because apparently Harry is um, well basically a dick to her," I stated. Liam sat there for a moment before he started laughing softly.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Harry likes Sara," He said like it was obvious.
Now it was my turn to think before I exclaimed,"Oh my gosh! That makes sense! AWWW!"
"Well, we should go in," He said slowly. I nodded my head and got out of the car.
We walked up the walk way trotted up the steps. I turned the handle and opened the door. I let Liam in and shut the door.
We walked into the living room and saw Sara on her laptop and Harry on the floor on his.
"Hey guys!" I exclaimed. They looked up and I met eyes with Sara. We secretly talked and I know she had a lot to tell me.
"Umm, well we should go, Liam." Harry spoke slowly.
"We should work on this tomorrow?" Sara asked.
"Yeah, sure. Come over around 4," Harry told her while picking up his notebook and laptop. Sara nodded and pick up her self also.
"Alright, mate. Let's go," Harry said and waved bye to Sara and I. Liam turned towards Sara, smiled, and waved.
I walked them towards the door and held the door open.
"Bye guys! We should all hang out soon!" I suggested. Liam nodded and Harry shrugged. Liam gave me a knowing look and I laughed. Harry walked out the door and Liam gave me quick hug before following Harry.
I closed the door and ran into the living room and shouted at Sara,"Come in my room!"
I ran up the stairs and into my room and dashed in my closet. I slipped of my dress and changed into some black yoga pants and a purple sweatshirt. I threw my hair in a bun and walked out of my closet. I saw Sara sitting on my bed, playing on her phone. I jumped on my bed and sat across from her and crossed my legs.
"Tell me everything that happened with you and Harry!" I exclaimed and got comfy as she began to explain.
