Chapter Eight
Charlie’s POV
I woke up at about 8 am and as soon as my eyes opened, my first thought was Elise which brought a smile to my usually groggy mornings. I happily got out of bed and went to go get breakfast
As I went to the kitchen, I already smelled the delicious aroma of bacon and eggs. The nearer I get to the kitchen, the clearer I hear mom’s voice, it seems like she’s talking to someone
When I entered the kitchen, I saw my mom in her office clothes, cooking breakfast and Elise sitting at the table in her sweatshirt and jogging pants
“Elise?” I said
Elise turned to me and smiled, “Good morning!” she greeted “cute pajamas, makes you look adorable”
I looked at myself and blushed in embarrassment, shit! I’m in the same room with the girl I like, still in my pajamas. Embarrassing much?
I sighed and sat in front of Elise
Mom then approached us and placed the plate of bacon on the table, “Good morning Charlie” my mom greeted “I saw Elise jogging by our house so I invited her for breakfast”
I looked at my mom with a “you-could-have-told-me-she-was-here” look and my mom smiled knowingly
“So Elise” mom said as she turned to her “do you have anything to do today?”
“Nope” Elise answered “just gonna hang-out at home”
“Then can you say here and keep Charlie company? I’m gonna be gone all day and I might come home late”
“Mom!” I interjected “I can handle being alone all day and Elise might have something planned later”
“I know you can be alone here, I just don’t want you to” mom replied “and besides Elise doesn’t mind”
I was about to speak when Elise interjected, “It’s fine Charlie, I can hang here all day”
“See?” mom smirked
I sighed in defeat and started eating
Mom then took her bag and started walking to the door, “and besides, I’m sure you’ll invite Elise to come here anyway, you two are dating after all” mom teased then left the kitchen
Elise looked at me in a surprised manner, “you told her we’re dating?”
“Kinda” I answered “I didn’t actually told her, she figurec it out”
“And is she okay with that?”
I nodded and smiled
Elise sighed in relief
“Want one?” I asked, showing her a piece of bacon
Elise smiled and opened her mouth then I put the bacon in it
“I can’t believe you told Aunt Gwen” Elise said as she chewed the bacon
“She would have known eventually, and she’s always been supportive so it’s all good”
Elise then turned to me and watched me eat with an adorable smile on her face
“What is it?” I asked when I notice that she was still looking
“Nothing, I just like your face” she said “I’m kinda addicted to it”
I laughed and asked her to eat breakfast with me, which she did
After that I stood and turned to her, “Leave the dishes in the sink, I’ll just take a bath” then started walking towards the bathroom
“Want me to help you with that?” Elise said with a playful smirk
I blushed and answered “I think I can manage on my own” then before leaving the kitchen I turned to her and smiled flirtatiously, “but in the near future, I may need lots of help so be ready“ I winked and proceeded to the bathroom as I heard Elise laughed

Elise’s POV
I love it when Charlie flirts back, makes me want her more
I smiled to myself and put the dishes in the sink, I was about to go watch TV when the doorbell rang, so I went and answered it
I opened the door and saw a girl with a ponytail and wearing casual clothes, carrying a folder
“Good morning” she greeted with a smile “Is Charlie there?”
“Good morning and yeah, she’s here, can I know your name?”
“I’m Spencer, a friend from school”
“Okay, come in and wait for her inside, she’s still taking a bath” I said as I guided her to the living room
Spencer sat on the sofa and I sat next to her, I looked at her and tried to remember if I know her from school, “I’ve never seen you around here before. Are you new in the neighborhood?”
Spencer nodded, “we just moved here last summer” she said “and are you a relative of Charlie’s?”
“Oh no, I’m, uh, her best friend” I then reached out my hand “I’m Elise”
“Oh, so you’re Elise” she said as she shook my hand “I’ve been hearing your name from Charlie and Jasmine these past few days, glad to meet you in person”
“Same here and did you say you hear my name from Jasmine?”
Spencer nodded
“And what did she say about me exactly?”
“Not much, just that you and Charlie have been best friends for years and that you are her brother’s girlfriend and that you two are "made for each other" and all that stuff”
Oh shit! Now all of Charlie’s friends know that I’m James’s girlfriend, well, I was. I can’t let Charlie know about this, she’ll be angry about me if she knew that I didn’t actually break up with him
I was about to say something when Charlie entered the room
“I thought I heard you voice here” she smiled to Spencer as she approached us
“Well, what can I say? I have one heck of great voice” Spencer joked then handed Charlie the folder “Here is our report for next week, all that’s left is a powerpoint presentation which I will leave for you to do”
Charlie took the folder, “Thanks, I’ll get right on it” Charlie then turned to me, ”oh, have you met Elise?” she said to Spencer
“Yeah. She kept me company while you were consuming all of the town’s water supply” Spencer teased
Charlie jokingly stuck her tongue out and Spencer laughed
“Well, I have to get going, I have a reunion to attend to” Spencer said then turned to me “Nice meeting you Elise”
I smiled “You too, and take care”
Spencer smiled and Charlie escorted her to the door, I then picked up the folder and read their report, now I’m in college, I realized how freaking easy high school was
“Want to do my report?” Charlie asked jokingly as she entered
“For $100, sure!” I smirked
She laughed and took away the folder “so, what do you want to do today?”
“I thought you’re gonna do that power point presentation?”
“I can do that later…” Charlie then held my hand “but for now, I want to spend my whole day with you”
I smiled and lightly pinched her cheek “you’re so sweet! But I think it’s best if you do the presentation first”
Charlie sighed in defeat, “Okay, I’ll do it now” she said “you’re not gonna leave are you?”
“Who said anything about me leaving? I’m gonna supervise and stay here all day with you” I moved closer and kissed Charlie on the cheek “but first, I’m gonna take a bath”
“Good, ‘cause you starting to smell plus you’re all sweaty and stuff” Charlie teased
“Hey!” I slapped her shoulder slightly then pulled her into a hug before heading towards the bathroom

Charlie’s POV
So while Elise’s was taking a bath, I started doing my report, better start early, so I can finish early. A few minutes later, Elise entered the living room, with only a towel covering her body
“Hey” she said, calling my attention
I looked at her from head to toe and blushed then I quickly turned away to hide my red face
Elise smirked and approached me, then she crouched down beside me, with her cleavage in clear view. I stared at my laptop, but I can still see her cleavage in the sides of my sight. And Elise’s is totally aware of this, she’s doing this on purpose! But hey, no complaints here ;)
In her flirty voice, Elise asked “Do you still have some of my clothes?”
“Uh…y-yeah, they’re in my, um, closet” I answered
“Thanks”
Elise stood and as she walked out of the room, she brushed her still warm hand, from the warm shower, on my neck, giving me chills, she giggled a bit and finally left
When she was gone, I sighed heavily and fanned myself, damn teenage hormones! But Elise is smoking hot
And my mind instantly flashed an image of Elise in a towel, successfully distracting me from doing my report
“I need a glass of water, a really cold one”
I stood and went to the kitchen. I was by the sink, drinking the glass of cold water, when I felt Elise’s arms wrapped around my waist as she hugged me from behind
“I know some other ways of dealing with heat” Elise whispered seductively “want to do it with me?”
I spewed out some of the water as Elise laughed out loud, she then kissed me and ran to the living room
She is such a freaking troll! But I love it!
I went to the living room and saw her, lying, on her stomach, on the sofa, with my laptop in front of her. When she saw me, she stuck out her tongue and winked in the most adorable way then motioned me to come and lie down beside her
So I went and lie down beside her, I kissed her shoulder, and together, we started doing my report.
What a great way to start a day, doing school work with a girl you like who happens to like you back and is constantly trolling you with her adorable flirtatiousness, I wonder what the rest of the day has in store for us.
