"So he was really fine when you found him? He didn't have any wounds or something like that? Was he crying? Do you think he realized that we were looking for him?" I rambled, my nerves getting stronger as we neared the house were Ash was currently held. I didn't know how he would react when he saw me. Was he angry I didn't come to look for him myself? If he was, how would I make it up to him?
"Calm down Matt, I'm sure he'll be happy to see you. Don't worry." Ethan said from beside me, his eyes straying to me and then back to the road again.
"Easy for you to say..." I muttered under my breath while I pictured Ash's annoyed face in my mind. He wouldn't be too angry now would he...? I sure hoped not...
Suddenly the house... no forgive me the mansion came into view and I nervously pulled my lip in between my teeth and started to chew at it. Ethan parked the car at the end of the lawn and I didn't even notice as he got out of the car until the door on my side was pulled open.
Ethan stared down at me for a second and then I was suddenly tugged out of the car by him pulling at my arm. When I was standing outside Ethan pushed the door closed behind me and the next second he had backed me up against the car.
My eyes widened just before his lips covered mine and I couldn't help the small sound that escaped me at the sudden feel of his body so close to mine. Ethan smirked against my lips and a second later he bit down on my lower lip and pulled back to stare down at me.
"Don't think so much about him. I'll get jealous." He stated and I could clearly detect the seriousness in his eyes even though his smirk was there in an attempt of hiding it.
"I wouldn't mind though..." I suddenly whispered and then I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him down against me for yet another kiss.
Ethan let me take the lead this time and I didn't hesitate as I slipped my tongue out and licked at his lower lip, asking for entrance. Ethan hummed against me but a second later he slowly parted his lips to let me in. I took advantage of the offering and immediately deepened the kiss while moving closer to his warm body.
I let out a soft sigh as his scent registered in my mind and I could feel his tongue playfully battle with mine, a battle I would probably lose. I knew he was trying to get me to think of something else, preferably him, and I must say that it was working quite well.
When we pulled back for air I moved my arms to hug him instead and I buried my head against his chest with a satisfied sigh. He was really good at calming me down.
"Thank you." I said and I could feel Ethan laugh against me as he moved his own arms to pull me even closer to him.
"You're welcome, although it was mostly for my own peace of mind. I don't really enjoy watching you worry over another man like that. My wolf wants to kill him." He said and I could almost hear the growl at the end of his sentence.
Eh... wait what?
"You want to... kill him...? What the hell Ethan?! You can't do that!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide as I stared up at my mate. I could see him roll his eyes at my shock and I couldn't help but narrow my eyes at his unbothered expression.
"Yeah, yeah... I want to kill most people who even looks at you so it's not really something to get upset about." He answered and I could only stare at his calm face for a while before what he said finally sunk in.
"That's not healthy at all Ethan. You have to go to therapy or something." I stated, immediately feeling how his arms wrapped more tightly around me as he grinned down at me.
"I do not! It's normal to feel possessive over your mate." Ethan pouted and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at him in question.
"Yeah? I don't think it's normal to feel murderous over him though." I said and I could feel Ethan shake against me as he laughed at my words.
After catching his breath a few minutes later he suddenly leaned down to nuzzle the side of my face and a second later I could feel his teeth at my neck.
Gahh... here we go...
I flinched as his teeth clamped down on my skin but I still melted against him as he moved to create the next love-bite a few inches away from the first one. I sighed and then groaned slightly when his wolf came forth and his sharp fangs pierced my skin and amplified the mark he had already put at the base of my neck. It wasn't exactly comfortable but if this was what it took for his wolf to refrain from killing my friends for looking at me then what the hell? It was worth it.
A few seconds later his fangs retreated and he licked gently at the newly made mark. I let out a small whine at the growing feeling of pleasure that flowed through my body but before I could get too aroused I pulled back and gave Ethan a slight glare.
"Don't you dare try to distract me from seeing him, you sneaky wolf..." I muttered and I could immediately see my mate smirk at me for seeing right through him. Hmpf... as if I would let him distract me so easily. Nope, no way, instead this boss ass bitch is going to head out to meet his doom at the hands of his friend that probably wants to yell at said person for not finding him sooner...
Great now I didn't really want to do that anymore.
Before I could think more about it Ethan rolled his eyes and grabbed my arm, pulling me after him as he started walking towards the house... no forgive me the mansion.
I guess slipping away quietly wasn't an option now.

When we approached the door I tried to calm my heartbeats that for some reason had started to thump really loudly. It was ridiculous really... I mean I had known Ash for so long and I was still afraid of his rage-modes. Well what can I say? An angry Ash was not to take lightly.
I watched as Ethan reached out to knock on the door and I was just going to say that they probably wouldn't hear that when I remembered about their wolf-hearing. I guess they would hear it quite well if they shared the same abilities as Ethan.
A second after he had knocked, Ethan tilted his head slightly and it looked like he was listening to something. A moment later he rolled his eyes and pushed the front door open so we could step inside.
"Ethan... you can't just step inside someone's house without them telling you that you can." I scolded and I immediately received a slight smirk from my mate.
"Well he said we could enter." He answered and when I looked in the direction he nodded I could see one of Ash's so called kidnappers step down from the stairs and starting to walk our way. He looked slightly annoyed but he still gave Ethan a small nod in greeting when he reached us.
"Ethan." He said and my mate immediately nodded back and answered with:
"Adam."
Ah great! Now I knew his name without actually having to remember it myself. Score!
"Weeeell where is he?" I suddenly asked, tired of waiting for the dreaded meeting with my friend. Adam's eyes slowly moved over to me and I could see him regard my appearance throughly before he smirked and turned his eyes back on Ethan.
"Congratulations Ethan, I see you've finally consummated the mating." He said and I didn't miss the way Ethan's expression changed into a smug smile. I immediately blushed and pulled my collar up in an attempt to hide the mark my mate amplified just a few minutes ago. I guess Adam had notice it and I was a bit embarrassed to realize that he must know what it meant too. Great... now he knew about us having sex... yeey...
"Don't ignore me!" I pouted, glaring at Adam from under my lashes while still trying to hide the obvious marks across my throat and neck.
"I see he's sharing some of Ash's more annoying qualities too huh?" He answered while directing an amused smile my way. He did not just compare me with that dimwit!
"As if! I'm always the original so if there's someone who is sharing qualities it's Ash!" I exclaimed, pointing a finger at Adam to amplifying my statement. He looked at me with slight surprise but then he burst out laughing and I could see Ethan face palm out of the corner of my eye.
"What? It's the truth." I muttered and I didn't have time to react as Adam's hand shot out and he ruffled my hair. My eyes widened in alarm as I swatted at his hand but that only made him laugh all the more. Stupid wolves always messing around and touching things they shouldn't!
Wait... how strange... Ethan hasn't overreacted and pulled me up against his chest growling 'mine' like he usually does.
I turned my head to look his way and I was surprised to see him acting so calm when he just watched me getting touched by another man. Whoa! Progress!!
I beamed at him and he immediately shot me a questioning glance, probably wondering if I had lost my mind or something. Well this was a big step in the right direction so I couldn't help it. I wonder why this time it was different though. Maybe he was finally getting around to trust me huh!
While I was lost in my own happy dreamland I suddenly felt something bump into me from behind and when I lost my balance and fell forward I immediately felt arms go around my waist so I wouldn't hit the floor.
"Oh sorry I didn't see you there." An apologetic voice said from behind me and I didn't even have time to blink before I was suddenly grabbed and tugged out of the guy's embrace. A rumbling growl echoed against the walls around us as Ethan pressed me up against his chest and glared over at the guy who had accidentally bumped into me.
Wait... what... the hell?
"Why so suddenly?! I thought you were finally starting to calm down about this whole touching others- business!" I exclaimed, staring up at Ethan's annoyed expression. He didn't let his eyes stray from the new guy as he said:
"What are you talking about?"
I frowned and pointed over at Adam who was standing a few feet away smiling at us.
"You were fine when he touched me so I thought you had finally decided to calm down! But then this guy accidentally touches me and you blow up in a second. I mean what the hell?" I rambled, trying to push away from Ethan's tight embrace so I could breathe properly.
"There's a difference between unmated wolves touching your mate and mated ones. Ethan's wolf knows that a mated wolf would never try to make a move on his mate since they have their own already. I am mated to your friend but Kevin over there still hasn't found his. It's natural for Ethan's wolf to feel the need to stake his claim on you like this. Don't be to hard on him." Adam calmly explained, his eyes warm as he spoke of his own mate and well... my friend.
"...I see... I guess I can understand that... but I still don't enjoy it when you prevent me from breathing in the process!" I stated, trying again to create some space between Ethan's chest and mine. This time he let me move away but only an inch or two. He was still glaring at the guy named Kevin and I took pity on him.
I sighed and then I reached up and took a hold of Ethan's face. I pulled him down and pressed my lips against his, momentarily pressing my body a bit closer to his. At first he stayed tense but only a few seconds later I could feel him slowly relax against me. He responded to my kiss and I could feel his tight grip on me loosen somewhat, making me let out a sigh in relief. Ah fresh air again!
When we pulled back again I moved my eyes over to Adam and narrowed my gaze on him as I said:
"Now, tell me where Ash is so I can talk to him."
Adam sighed but then he nodded and pointed towards the stairs.
"He's sleeping upstairs but I think he'll probably wake up any minute now. I guess you can go up if you want to. You can tell Alex and Anton to come down here while you're at it. We're behind in managing some pack-business." He answered and I was moving towards the stairs even before the last words had left his lips.
I could feel Ethan start to follow me but when Adam reached out and grabbed a hold of his arm and said something to him he paused and then grimaced. I sent him a small wave before I kept moving towards the stairs and for some reason I was happy to get a bit of breathing space. I mean of course I liked to spend time with Ethan but sometimes it was nice to be alone too.
When I reached the first floor I realized that I had no idea in which room Ash was but only a second later I could hear sounds coming from a door further down the corridor. I smirked to myself when I heard Ash's loud voice and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Leave it to Ash to be so energetic just after having been kidnapped...
When I walked up to the door I paused and thought about whether I should knock or just barge right in. Well seeing as I didn't want to walk in on something I didn't want to see I reached out and knocked four times on the door. After a few seconds the door was pulled open and I came face to face with a shirtless Alex. Ehh...
"Hi..." I said, a bit lost at the sight of his irritated frown.
"What?" He huffed and I could feel my eyes narrow at his rude response. Asshole...
"I'm here to see Ash and your brother said to tell you that you and Anton are supposed to go downstairs." I muttered and tried to suppress the urge to glare as Alex let out an annoyed sigh. As if I was the reason he must go downstairs!
"Matt? Is that you?" A familiar voice suddenly said and a second later Ash had pressed himself between Alex and the doorframe and thrown himself around my neck. For a second I thought he would strangle me but when he only hugged me tightly I let out a small laugh and patted his back before I hugged him back.
"Didn't I tell you to stay in bed?" Alex growled from behind Ash and I could see my friend turn his head to glare his way.
"I'm fine already Alex! Stop hovering over me and nag about every little movement I make. I promise you I'll tell you if I feel bad again." He answered and even though Alex looked just as irritated as before I could see his body relax at Ash's words.
I bet he had been really worried when Ash was kidnapped so I guess I couldn't blame him for being overprotective. God only knows that's how Ethan behaved all the time with me...
"So go downstairs now and take Anton with you. I want to speak to Matt alone!" Ash kept talking and I could immediately see Alex tense up again.
"No way I'm leaving you alone with him!" He growled and Ash immediately let out a big sigh and pouted at his mate. Before he had time to say anything though I could see the oldest brother, Anton, step up behind Alex and give us an inquiring glance. His eyes strayed to me and a second later he sent me a small smile.
"Calm down Alex, the guy is marked already." He stated and I could feel my face go up in flames as Ash let out a small squeak and started pulling at my shirt-collar.
"Oh my God! Matt! Why the hell didn't you tell me?! Oh shit it's totally new too you little pervert!" He exclaimed and I could see Alex and Anton smirk at how their mate's words only caused me to blush even harder. Oh my God he was totally embarrassing me the little asshat!
"Cut it out will you! It's not new he just insisted on doing that before we entered this stupid mansion! And it's not my fault I couldn't tell you! You were missing until now dammit!" I pouted, avoiding the amused glances from Anton and Alex as I tried to put some space between Ash and myself. Needless to say it didn't work too well.
"Sooo... you guys had sex?" Ash suddenly said, his voice teasing as he leaned in to speak directly into my ear.
"Gaaah! Stop it! I don't want to tell you about stuff like that!" I yelled, blushing again as Ash let out a heartfelt laugh.
"Oh, you so do though! How was it? Rough? Gentle? Amaaaazing? Huh, tell me!" He chimed, grinning at my flushed state. This fucking asshole!
"Stop talking about it God dammit!" I groaned, covering my face when Anton began to laugh and Alex smirked in my direction. They were so annoying!
"Aww... are you embarrassed Matty?" Ash cooed and this time I reached out and put my hand over his mouth to prevent him from speaking.
"Shut up, pipsqueak! You've done the same haven't you so get down from that high horse of yours! And while your at it you can stop calling me 'Matty'!" I exclaimed, glaring slightly at my friend as he tried to laugh despite the hand I had covering his mouth. I wondered why I had even bothered feeling sorry for him when he was kidnapped! He so deserved it the little jerk!
"Okay so seeing as you're not a bother anymore we'll leave you to it. Try not to kill each other though." Anton suddenly said and I could see Alex nod in agreement before he sent Ash a firm gaze and added:
"Don't strain yourself, you still need to rest!"
Ash rolled his eyes in answer as the two brothers walked past us and then began to walk down the corridor. When they had gotten a few feet away Anton slightly turned his head our way and his eyes locked with mine before he said:
"Oh I almost forgot, congratulations on consummating your mating, Matt. I bet Ethan is thrilled beyond words so please don't do anything to hurt our friend."
I stared at him for a second, blinking in surprise, but then I gave him a small smile and answered with the words:
"I'll try my best not to."
