You walked through the halls of Beacon Hills High in desperate search of Scott. Normally, you wouldn't be so frantic while looking for your best friends, but tonight was going to be a bad night for you to be alone. There was going to be a full moon tonight and you needed someone to help you through it. You were terrible during them.

As you continued to wander, you secretly hoped that Stiles would be nowhere in sight. You still had yet to tell him of your newly found powers. Even though he was possibly the best friend you had ever had, you still wanted to keep it a secret. Not to mention the fact that you were absolutely head over heels for the guy, as you have been since you were kids. You just didn't want him to get hurt anymore than he possibly could.

Relief settled in your stomach once your eyes landed on the alpha, especially because Stiles wasn't with him. Quickly, you closed the distance between you, smiling nervously. "Hey."

"Hi, Y/N." He averted his attention from his locker and over to you. "What's up?"

"Tonight." You trailed off, hoping that he would catch on. A look of remembrance replaced his smile as he continued to look at you.

"Yeah, right." He replied, fiddling with the straps on his bookbag. "Do you want to just come over to my place then?"

"Sounds good." You smiled, nodding your head. "Thank you so much, Scott."

"It's no problem. Really."

"What's no problem?"

You turned to see Stiles, both of you probably looking like deer caught in headlights. The two of you exchanged a glance before Scott covered for you.

"She's been having trouble with history, so I was going to let her copy my notes." He explained, fiddling with his bookbag straps once more. You knew he had the tendency to do that when he was nervous.

"I could've helped you." Stiles said. Your heart fluttered a bit, although you knew he was only saying that because of the mere fact that you were friends, nothing more.

"I didn't want to bother you." You lied, hoping that he would cease to interrogate you.

"It wouldn't have bothered me."

"Well, it just seemed that you've been busy with research and homework and all of that."

"I could make time for you. So, if you need any further help just know you can come to me, too." He offered with a grin. With a nod and another flutter in your chest, you smiled back.

You had to look away to save yourself from getting lost in his eyes, something that you did a lot. Ending on that note, Stiles then delved into a new topic, informing you and Scott on his newest theories of Beacon Hill's newest big bad. You began to think about how much longer you'd be able to keep this secret from him. It was only a matter of time until he did. And something told you he wouldn't be happy about the revelation.

"Thank you again."

"Normally, someone wouldn't be saying that to me if I were tying them to a wooden beam." Scott chuckled, the leather restrains now fully restraining you from lashing out.

"Well, these aren't exactly normal circumstances, are they?" You chuckled as well, although there was a hint of sadness mixed in.

"I guess not." He smiled sadly.

A knock on the door pulled your attention away from the task at hand. Scott looked at you anxiously before jogging back up the stairs to see who it was. You could already feel yourself beginning to transform, your heart speeding up.

"Stiles, how's it going, dude?" You heard Scott say apprehensively with the help of your enhanced hearing. Your eyes widened. Why would Stiles be here?

"Just wanted to make sure you'd be okay. Full moon tonight and all." Your best friend answered casually. "Plus, I think I left my sweatshirt. I can't find it anywhere."

Of course he couldn't, because it was down in the basement with you. You had just noticed it, otherwise you would have pointed it out to Scott.

"I'm pretty sure it's down in the basement, when we went down there to get the supplies for the last full moon." He continued, and you heard his footsteps moving towards the basement door. You clenched your jaw, teeth sharpening and eyes glowing.

"A-are you sure it's down there?" Scott stalled. "Maybe you just didn't look hard enough."

"I'm almost positive it's down there. Are you alright, Scott?"

"Me? I'm good. I'm better than ever, actually. Thanks for asking."

"Okay, now I know something's up because you're starting to act like me when I'm on-edge. What's down there, Scott?"

"Nothing!"

Before you even had time to think of hiding, Stiles was thumping down the steps. His eyes had widened, jaw dropping as he spotted you.

"Hey." You said quietly and awkwardly, cringing inwardly.

"The hell is this?!" He shouted, looking to Scott for an answer. All he could do was stand there, looking guilty as ever. He bowed his head, like a puppy that had just gotten scolded for getting into something he shouldn't have. "How long were you planning on keeping the fact that one of my best friends is a werewolf away from me, huh?!"

"Stiles, don't blame him." You said, your voice coming out in a lisp from your sharp teeth.

"Fine!" Stiles's head snapped to you. "Do you want me to blame you, then? Because I think both of you are to blame for this whole thing! You could have at least told me! It's not like I've never seen anything like it before!"

"Stiles, can we talk about this later?" Scott begged, noticing that you were on the verge of killing someone. You began to thrash in the handcuffs, the urge to feel someone's bones snap between your fingers growing more by the second.

"Go upstairs; I can handle this." Stiles ordered to a reluctant Scott, who slowly obeyed. "Y/N, just calm down, okay?" Stiles rushed over to you, kneeling at a safe distance. "You're going to get through this, alright?"

"Stiles, get out." You growled.

"Never." He said stubbornly, refusing to move even an inch.

"Stiles."

"Y/N, I'm not going anywhere, okay? You're just gonna have to deal with me."

"If I get loose, you could seriously hurt!"

"No I won't, because you'd never hurt me."

"I can't control myself, Stiles."

"Yes, you can!" Stiles raised his voice, arms shooting up from his sides like rockets as he did so. "You can! Just think of something, anything! Something that makes you happy, that'll distract you."

Your mouth screwed shut, opting for silence. You drove your eyes into those of the boy before you. Those beautiful caramel eyes stared back, comfort and concern lacing through them. You took in every aspect of his face, all of your focus revolving around it. His tiny moles wandering over his cheeks, his jaw, his neck. Dark hair, disheveled after having his hands roam through it so many times. He was always so beautiful to you, no matter the time of day.

The cuffs wrapped around your wrists had progressively began to rip once Stiles had first seen you. One more tug would more than likely send them to the floor and free you, turning Stiles into your next meal. The thought frightened you, but you truly didn't believe in yourself enough to stop it. With your luck, you'd only make things worse.

"These things are gonna bust any minute, get out of here!" Your growls became louder, making Stiles jump back but not enough to send him running.

"You're not going to be alone for this."

The only thing holding you back from becoming a homicidal killer snapped off. You launched yourself at Stiles, landing on top of him. Your fingers wrapped around his neck. Just as you prepared to dig your claws into his flesh, they were gone. You brought your hands closer to your face, inspecting your nails that have now grown back to normal. Next, you went to feel your ears, no longer feeling them point at the top like you could have moments ago. Your eyes met with Stiles's again, breaking out into a smile once you saw his.

"Told you you could do it." He said softly, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. You blushed, climbing off him, offering a hand to pull him up. Accepting that hand, he wrapped you into the tightest hug once you were both off the ground. You sighed into his chest.

"Thank you." You mumbled.

"You know I'll always have your back." Stiles pressed a kiss to the top of your head, sighing afterwards. "Always."

"You've been like this for two months and you still didn't tell me?" He asked in disbelief, scoffing. "Why? It's not like I don't know about any of this. In fact, I probably know more about the supernatural world than you and Scott combined."

"Now's not the time to get cocky, Stiles." Scott replied.

"Yeah," You agreed, to which Stiles rolled his eyes. "Just shut up and let me explain myself, okay? Don't get mad at Scott. He wanted to tell you, but I wouldn't let him. I wouldn't let anyone tell you."

"Oh, so everyone else knows except for me. Awesome." He spat, sarcasm dripping from every syllable. You and Scott looked at each other, rolling your eyes in sync.

"Stiles, don't be like that." You groaned.

"Be like what?" He shouted, slapping his arms onto his sides. "Be angry? Betrayed? Let down? That one of my best friends that normally confides in me for everything just decides to keep probably her most important secret from me, but tells everyone else?! Why? What the hell kind of friendship do you think we have, Y/N?! Why did you decide to keep this from me?!"

"Because I love you and I didn't want you getting any more hurt than you can now!" You screamed, slapping a hand over your mouth after it was said. Any trace of anger died down in Stiles's eyes, mouth now agape. His arms hung loosely by his sides, eyes squinting ever so slightly.

"I'll, uh, I'll leave you guys to talk." Scott said somewhat awkwardly, slowly backing away from the situation and up the stairs, presumably into his room. You didn't see the point in his leaving, knowing that he was listening in on your conversation anyway.

"What did you just say?" Stiles's voice shook as he took a few steps closer to you.

"There would have been a bigger risk of something happening to you if I would have told you about this. I don't want you to get hurt . . . because I . . . I love you. Way more than a friend would." Your voice began to shake too, eyes watering.

"Loving you is worth the risk." He said softly, bringing you to snap your eyes to his in shock. You were sure that your ears have failed you.

"What?"

"I love you, too, you moron." He laughed and closed the gap between you, brushing a hand against your cheek. You felt yourself leaning into his touch. Both of you smiled at each other. "I'm already at risk of getting hurt anyway. Why not risk a little more to be with the love of my life?"

Your teeth latched onto your bottom lip to keep your grin from becoming too large. You curled your fingers around his collar, bringing him in for a passionate lip-lock. His clutched onto your hips, smiling into the kiss. Your lips moved together perfectly.

"Thank God for you becoming a werewolf." He grinned, pulling your lips back to his again.
