"Oh my God, this is taking forever!" You let out all in one breath, topping it off with a groan as you flopped onto the bed like a dying seal. For days, you had been scouring the internet for even just a hint at what you are. It was so impossible that even Stiles, the research expert, couldn't find anything. You had stayed at Stiles's overnight because you were so swamped from the day before.

"Hey, wait." Stiles called, making you shoot up from the bed and dart over to him. You leaned in to him closely, your head hanging over his shoulder. "An angel? Can you be an angel? Please be an angel."

"That wouldn't work." Was your simple reply.

"Why not?" He said with frustration, glaring at you.

"Angels don't have emotions like humans do. They're basically just robots with wings." You explained with pride, happy that you knew something he didn't. "Well, according to Supernatural, of course."

He slowly turned to face you, a scowl on his face. "A TV show? You're putting your faith into a TV show? You really think that that's a smart idea?"

"Hey, I'll have you know that most of the stuff on that show is true." You argued, defending some of your favorite fictional characters.

"This is ridiculous." He mumbled to himself, before tapping away on his laptop once more. You grinned, knowing that you had proven him wrong. That quickly turned into a frown, however, when you felt your stomach grumble with dissatisfaction. Stiles certainly needed a break anyway.

"Well, I need food and I won't survive without it so I'm going to head downstairs. Do you want anything?"

"Must keep typing." He spoke in a monotone voice, eyes never leaving the bright screen as his fingers continued to tap the keyboard.

"Stiles, come on." I insisted. "You haven't eaten anything for the past 48 hours that I've been here."

"Wifi is the only food that I need."

"Stiles, I get you want to help me out here but you're allowed to take a break." You couldn't help but smile at how dedicated he was to solving this for you. It was sweet of him, but he was going to die of starvation if he didn't at least take a break.

"No."

"Alright," You replied, a plan already forming in your head as to how you'd drag his ass downstairs. A very simple one, as well. With a huff, you latched your fingers onto the back of his chair, dragging it to the door. You smirked as you watched him clamber for the keyboard, typing as much as he could before he'd be fully departed from his beloved electronics. A laugh erupted from your throat as you listened to his pleads for you to stop.

Now, there was a minor flaw to your plan of attack.

Stairs.

As you took a moment to think, Stiles took this as a perfect opportunity to run. However, you were quicker, blocking the doorway with a triumphant grin. He glared daggers into your skull as you stared at each other.

"It will take five minutes." You reasoned with the wise Stilinski. "You can even bring the food back up here if you want! I don't need you passing out from starvation while I'm here."

He crossed his arms, looking as if he were having a silent debate with himself in his head. Minutes and minutes seemed to have passed by, and you had began to think that he'd just toss you to the side and run back into that black hole that he calls a room. Surprisingly, he shook his head in defeat before turning around and starting his descent down the stairs, you following close behind with another grin.

Once you had gotten your food, Stiles had actually sat down in the kitchen to eat, rather than going back upstairs. Sitting across from him, you began to chow down. You weren't even halfway through your sandwich when you noticed Stiles was staring at you.

"What?"

"What are you?" He mumbled, although more to himself than to you. His intense gaze was making you uncomfortable for once.

"I think that's more of a question for Google, don't you think?" You chuckled a bit, attempting to soothe the atmosphere.

"It actually seems to be the only question Google can't answer." He grumbled, finally averting his gaze back to his own sandwich.

"Can't argue with that."

For a little while, all was silent. Nothing but two friends munching on their food, each silently hoping that they'd figure out the greatest puzzle of their lives as of now. You wondered if you even were anything. You could've just been immune to the wolf bite possibly. Maybe it was just an odd coincidence? After all of this hard work from you and Stiles, you hoped that you were.

When you both had finished, Stiles took both of your plates and went to put them in the sink. You hoisted yourself up on the counter beside him, watching the water swirl down the drain. If only you could dispose of your problems that easily

"You alright?" Stiles asked, standing in front of you at a respectable distance. His eyes dripped with concern, a frown present on his gorgeous face.

"Are we even positive that I am anything?" You asked nervously.

"You have to be." He scoffed, crossing his arms across his chest.

"I don't have to be anything. Maybe it was just a coincidence that people started to notice me after the bite?"

"It's not just a coincidence, Y/N. You're something, alright? And I'll help you figure it out."

"Why are you so convinced that I am something?"

"Well, why else would guys begin to drool over you?"

That struck a nerve. What did he mean by that? Did he not even find you the slightest bit attractive? Or at least not in the way you wanted him to?

"So, what you're saying is that I'm not attractive unless if I have some sort of life-long spell casted on me?"

Stiles briefly resembled a deer in headlights or a frightened kitten. You continued to stare at him expectantly, curious to hear his excuse. During the time that Stiles spent blubbering like a fish, you felt a small crack tear through your heart. Sure, you had known you never stood a chance with him, but it hurt when it was confirmed.

"I did not mean it like that, I swear." He held out his hands defensively, inching towards you as if you were the jumpy deer. You refused to look at the boy, suddenly feeling self conscious, and you never felt uncomfortable around Stiles. Maybe the only reason he had remained to stick by your side after you were bitten was because of the weird hypnotic powers you had acquired afterwards. "Y/N, look at me."

You didn't.

"Yeah, my face? It's up here." You had seen him gesture to his mole-speckled face wildly out of your peripheral vision. "Look at it."

With an eye roll, you finally gave in to his commands and met his eyes. Although he still appeared to be nervous, his eyes were filled with a certain glint that had you falling for him all over again. "What did you mean then?"

"Y/N I—I don't know. It's just that—" He took a deep breath. "I'm jealous, alright? There, happy? I just completely wrecked our friendship because of some stupid powers you have."

"You're jealous of people staring at me?" You let out a laugh.

"No, I—"

"Okay then." You continued to laugh, paying the smallest of attention to the boy before you. His fatigue is obviously just getting to him. Why would he be jealous?

"Y/N, listen to m—"

"No, Stiles." You cut him off once more, making him scrunch up his face in frustration. "Really, I get it. It's nice to have people look at you like you're some kind of God sometimes, but—"

You had been too caught up in speaking that you never noticed Stiles close the gap between you two. Another thing you failed to see was him reach out to grab your face and yank your lips onto his. Your eyes had widened while his remained tightly shut.

He slowly began to pull away. In a moment of panic, you curled your fingers around his collar and pulled him back to you, fully pressing your lips to his this time. You spread out your legs to pull him even closer. Your lips moved in perfect sync, like two gears shifting together inside of a clock. His hands slid down your arms and sides to grip onto your hips. You tugged at his hair, the small groan that left his lips encouraging you to do it more.

Your kiss had ended all too soon, however, when he pulled away. Stiles pressed his forehead against yours. You had yet to open your eyes, in fear of seeing the same few colors that you were used to. That kiss had been the best you were given, but are they the ones you were meant to get for the rest of your life?

"Oh my God, Y/N." Stiles said in awe, his warm breath hitting your face as a laugh escaped his lips. "Open your eyes."

You reluctantly obeyed and were immediately left in awe. Everything was in color. So many bright and dark hues suddenly took over your eyesight, including the breathtaking boy in front of you.

"I knew it." He spoke again, shaking his head to himself as he continued to scan over your features. "Somehow, I just always knew it was you."

"I love you." It was the only thing you could think to say at the moment. Just one look into his eyes confirmed how you really felt about him.

"I—I love you, too."

You both continued to grin at each other until a cell-phone interrupted the beautiful moment. Stiles sighed, closing his eyes for a second before pecking your forehead. You smiled to yourself as he went to pick up his phone.

You couldn't wait to go outside and see the world from this brand new perspective. Especially now that you officially were with the guy of your dreams, you were unstoppable. Looking over the boy with those hypnotizingly dark eyes and wavy hair, you realized just how in love with him you were. You never really had gotten over him, despite what you have been telling yourself for the past couple of days.

"That was Deaton." Stiles came back minutes later, a victorious smile on his face. He walked back over to you, resting his hands on your legs. "I asked him a little while before you came over here if he could try and help—you know, to possibly speed up the process—and he may have found something."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" You hopped off the counter, grabbing your bag and practically bolting to the door. "Let's go!"
