This happened a few months ago..
"I've found what i really want to do ..Even if i can't become an excellent doctor like mama' , i believe i want to have a career where i can save people !"
"I want to become a doctor no matter what !"
Kasumi finally confronted her father and told her what she plans to be..since then she's been desperately studying in order to make her dreams come true.
"I see , the entrance exam is coming up..."
"Yeah."
"Good luck Kasumi , i know you'll ace that exam !"
"Hehe , thanks...but.."
"Hmn ?"
Suddenly an anxious expression crosses Kasumi face...
"What's wrong ?" he asked
"............i want to pass the entrance exam , but...if i get into college.."
"Into med school ....then will be at different college , Mina..."
"! ...Oh' .....right...." (That's right i completely forgotten...)
I don't know how to feel , but then Kasumi whispers to me sadly..
"..........Mina...I..."
"Y-yeah ?"
"I really want to realize my dream of becoming a doctor , but...but after all.."
Kasumi's cheeks becomes red...
"...........Being at a different college to you is...Kind of lonely.."
"! Kasumi...O-of course i'd be lonely too , but..."
(If i say i don't want to be apart , it'll be hard on Kasumi.. i can't let myself be a hindrance to her dreams...) So i encourage her positively..
"It'll be fine ! you don't have to worry about anything just focus on your studies , even if our college are different we'll still be living on the same house ....right ?"
Still a look worried " Y-yeah...."
"Also , uhm , if you don't mind , i'll pick you up whenever i can , and it'll be like nothings change we can still go home together.."
"And you could call me whenever you feel lonely , i'll come running anytime !"
Her face turns bright red as she hear those words..
"Hehehe , but you don't have to run you know , you can walk and i can wait.." she smiles brightly
"Yeah , hahaha.."
We both smile embarrassed...after taking a breath Kasumi speaks decisively.
"......I'll give it my best !"
"What over me , Mina !"
"Of course !!"
And then , time passes in an instant..
The day of Kasumi's exam are here !
We all wish her luck at the entrance door of the Famille'
"Good luck Kasumi , i know you can do it " cheered Miyoko
"A-A-A-Anyway, Keep calm Kasumi..." he stutters
"You're the one who should keep calm , you introperv.." teases Yomiko..
"i'll be fine Mina..." she said..
"But why are you leaving so early ?" Tegemi courteously ask
"The college is kind of far away from here, so i have to leave early.." Kasumi explained
"Oh' right to escape the rustle and bustle of morning traffic.." Raika said..
"Be careful Kasumi.." worried Reimako..
"Yeah , i will thanks for worrying about me , and thank you guys for seeing me off.."
.,...At that moment i heard someone whispers from beside me..
"By the way, did you put it in Kasumi's bag ?" whispers Raika
"Of course !" responded Yomiko
"I put it in together with her launch box.." said Reimako.
"What are you talking about ?" she asked when she heard murmurs coming from the girls
"Ah...N-nothing.." Yomiko covers..
The girls who had been whispering amongst themselves quickly look back at Kasumi..
"Uh , well good-luck with your exams Kasumi.." Yomiko added
"U-um make sure that you eat the lunch i prepared for you .." reminded Reimako..
"She said it's a limited edition Reimako- prepared lunch to ensure you concentrate during the exam !" added Raika..
"Thank you Rei !"
Kasumi smiles at each of us and turn , lastly she looks at me and smiles brightly..
"...Well Mina , everyone ..I'll do my best !"
"I'm going !"
"Bye ..!"
"Good luck !!"
We send Kasumi off with a smile...as she leaves for her exam.
and then a few hours later..
I can't stop worrying about Kasumi , and for that reason i become restless all day..
"........Okay , Kasumi's exam might be over by now. I might go and pick her up.."
i can't wait any longer and i stand up...Raika and Tegemi smiles wryly..
"Hm ? Aren't you a little bit early to be picking her up ?" said Raika
"Hehe , you're really worried about Kasumi , aren't you ?" said Tegemi..
"Well if you're that worried why don't you meet her at the exam hall ?" she added.
"If you pick her up , i'm sure she'll be happy , Mina."
"Ah...Y-yeah.."
......And then..
"........Mina if you're going to pick Kasumi up , i'll be coming too." said Yomiko wearing a long blond wig and fake eye glasses and casual closed ..
".....What's with the get up ?"
"Just shut up and let's go.." a bit irritated she pouts
And so we did....Yomiko and I headed towards the college.
It's fine but....
For some reason Yomiko seems to be restless as well...
"Yomiko , i know you're worried as well , and you're making me a lot more worried but you need to calm down , stop walking back and forth..."
"You can't blame me , i'm just really worried about Kasumi i hope she did well...."
My guess is right we're both worried for the same reason..
"Since the time you and i first gave her a supportive push , i been worried ever since..."
"Ah..."
They had a heated argument about something , it must be her pushing Kasumi not to give up on her dreams as well...
Their colliding opinions about Kasumi's dream...but , i think that because they had that clash of opinion , Kasumi was able to speak freely and honestly...
"I may have been meddling, but more than just pushing Kasumi to chase her dream...i really want to see her challenge this.. "
"Yomiko..." i'm deeply touched by Yomiko's words ..
"You weren't meddling i'm sure Kasumi will be happy..."
"....Really ?..Th-"
"No not really..." he teased
"You jerk !" as she lightly punched him at the shoulders..
------we continue talking in the few hours it takes to reach the college..
We finally arrive at the college where Kasumi is taking the exam..
"Phew ! F-finally we've arrived .....a few minutes more and i'd be dead meat..."
"What was that !!"
"Nothing...." he quickly retorted...
"Whoa' Kasumi is right , It's really quite far away from the Famille.."
"Yeah....and she's going to study here for four years...but wow what a huge campus.."
We look up in awe in the college around us..
There's a wonderful large school gate and past that i can see a clean and white building..
"So Kasumi is taking an exam here , right now.." she murmurs and seems to realize something.
"Ah ! by the way i wonder if Kasumi read it ?"
"Read what ?" i asked..
"Today, we secretly hid messages of support in Kasumi's bag..when you read this hopefully you become less nervous '...that kind of thing.."
"Ah i see..." so that's why everyone is secretly whispering in the morining.. it doesn't look like the exam is over yet, so we wait by the entrance..
"S-so we arrived kind of early after all..." he smiled awkwardly..
"Yeah , but well , it's no problem.."
"Let's cheer on Kasumi from here.." she gleefuly added
"Yeah ! , Let's!"
(Kasumi ! Good luck !)
Passing the exam is the first step towards her dream..In order for Kasumi to be able to take the first step, we continue cheering for her.
.....And then..
A few hours later . The exam seems to have finished , and people are streaming out..
We look for Kasumi..
",.....huh ?"
Kasumi notice us first and Runs over..
"What are you two doing here ?"
"We came to pick you up Kasumi !" said Yomiko
"...!All the way to this far place !"
"Ahahahaha we couldn't really sit still at home.." he said smiling
"....thank you.."
Kasumi seems to remember something..
"B-by the way thanks for that ..the message in my bag.."
"Oh you read them ?" asked Yomiko.
"Yeah , thanks to that message i calmed down a lot..."
Kasumi glances at me..
".....Also thank you for your message ...Mina..i was really happy.."
He just smiled brightly at her.. ( somehow just being told that, makes me really embarrassed..)
Our faces becomes red and we avert each other gazes..Yomiko notices and glances at the two of us..
"Just looking at you two makes me feel embarrassed.."
*Kick*
"Ouch ?"
"What ? why ?" he asked looking a Yomiko
"Because you're way to self conscious , it doesn't suit you , you introperv."
"Hey now !"
Kasumi giggles at our short comedy skit..
"Hey let's go home Kasumi , i'm sure you're exhausted after the exam..let's just leave the introperv here..." Yomiko teases.
"Oi!"
Kasumi's exam finished with no problem , now we wait for the results..
And just like that the days pass in an instant , at last , the day of the exam results announcement arrives....
