It's been 3 weeks.
I've been without Peighton, Alexis has been without her mother - for 3 weeks.
It's been a real struggle. Everyday I am starting to lose hope that she is going to wake up. Everyday I am at her bedside, holding her hand and waiting. Just waiting for anything to happen.
But everything is slowly starting to hit me.
I don't know if she is going to wake up.
I know I shouldn't think this way. I know I need to stay positive, but it's just hard.
If something happens, I need to learn how to take care of Alexis on my own. But the thing is I don't know how I could do it. I don't know if I can live without Peighton.
The doctor said that there has been no progress. Her brain hasn't healed, and that's what worries me. If it gets to be much longer, I don't know what is going to happen.
Every single day I sit with Alexis after I've been with Peighton. We sit and pray that she will wake up. Alexis still doesn't know what is going on, since she is still young. But we pray that she will come back to us.
Peighton please.. come back to us.
