Alpha Mason
I stood outside her door listening to her cry. It was never my intention to hurt her; I just think she's too young. Right now my pack is going through a lot of things. We're still trying to rebuild our pack after the rouge attack eight years ago that killed both of our parents and lot of other wolfs. I don't want her to have all this pressure on her, after all I do know what it's like. After the attack everybody looked to me to fix everything I had just turned sixteen and had so much more to learn from my parents.
In the mist of everything, I never thought about my mate, which is every unusual since, every wolf -male and female- yearns for his or her mate. I guess I was to tie up in everything to even think about having a mate, as of now she's pretty much all I can think about.
"Well go mark her." My wolf growled
"No." I growled back
That was the first time he spoken to me since I left Hailee at the gas station, the only thing I got out of him all day was his cries for his mate.
"This sucks." I heard her say.
"Fuck my life!" I was walking down the steps when I saw Sam -my Beta and Hailee brother- and his mate Kate coming through the door. She had her legs wrapped around his waist and they were basically dry humping each other. You could tell he was having a hard time focusing on her and walking, he nearly fell every time he took a step.
"Get a room." I said making them break apart. When Kate heard my voice she immediately unwrapped her legs from his waist and jumped down.
"Alpha.... Sorry about that." She said trying to hide her blush by standing behind Sam.
"Cock block." He mouthed and I flicked him off.
"Pack meeting in an hour." I stated and said goodbye to them before leaving out the house. I walked to the woods and went behind a tree and stripped. I hid my clothes and shifted into my all black wolf.

"Silence!" I said as I stood in front of my whole entire pack, all 203 members. "There been lot of rouge sightings around ours and the New Elite pack. We believe is the same group of rogues who attack those many years ago. We want to be very cautions so I and Beta Samuel put together new pack rules, similar to the ones before." I nodded at Sam to continue.
"One: If you go for a run past 7 pm you must have someone accompany you. Two: Curfew 12 pm, for all women and children. And lastly three: No more going to the lake." The pack groaned.
For as long as I could remember the lake has always been the hangout spot for both the pups and elders. I never understood while my dad didn't just buy it and make it a part of our land. "Sorry guys but until we purchase the land, we cannot risk you being there." Sam pleaded with the rest of the pack.
"We need to be prepared for anything so as of now there will be an extra hour added to training time." The pack groan once again.
As Sam continues to explain the new rules and regulations, my eyes drift to the back, where my beautiful mate sat. Her and the pack doctor daughter were whispering and giggling about something. It was nice to see her smile. Since I found out she was my mate, I hadn't see her smile not once. I wonder what the talking about.
Me? I wish.
Right now, I knew she didn't think anything positive about me. Not that I gave her a good reason to. For the past 24 hours all I did was hurt her. She had already cried herself asleep twice. Even with her staying our last night, I could still feel her emotions. It's because of the bond, and I being Alpha only made it stronger.
"Alpha?"
"Huh?" I look back at Sam.
"I said is there anything else to go over."
"No, meeting adjourned."
With that being said the pack gathered their thing and left. I look back over to Hailee to see her getting up to leave. She took one last look at me before her and the pack doctor daughter left. I should really learn her name considering she's my mate best friend.
"Hey man, everything okay?"
"Yea. Why?"
"You zoned out have way though the meeting."
"Oh, I just worried about these rouges." I lied.
There was no way I could tell him that I had just figured out that his sister was my mate and I told her I wanted to wait for a while before I claimed her.
"Don't worry everything will be fine." He said before walking over to his mate. He kissed her cheek and wrapped his arms around her waist, together they begin walking towards the exit. "Why couldn't I have that?"
"My mate is perfect." My wolf growled.
Ignoring his comment, I gathered my things and headed to the pack house.
Luna Hailee
"Wake up." I open my eyes to see Kate hovered over me.
"What?" I snapped, and immediately regretted it when I saw her face, "Sorry." I blushed, my wolf was still on edge from the fight with Mason.
"You okay?"
"Yea." I lied
"Are you sure, it looks like you been crying." I glance behind her to look in the mirror and it did in fact look like I'd been crying.
"No I wasn't it just that, um Leah, got me this." I held up my arm so she could see the bracelet. "It was my moms, she got it repaired." My forced a smile.
"That was nice of her. Well you should start getting ready, the pack meeting starts in fifteen. "She gave me one last smile before leaving.
Technically I didn't lie, I was crying over that, but not at that moment I wasn't. Honesty I am embarrassed that my mate, the person who is supposed to love you more than anything doesn't want me. And now I have to go to this mandatory pack meeting and see his stupid face.
"His beautiful face." My wolf purred.
After a couple minutes feeling sorry for myself, I went to my bathroom to freshen up and put on some make-up so no one could tell that I had been crying.
"Hailee?" Natalie yelled
"In here." She walked in my bathroom with two cookie and crème ice cream cones.
"I got your favorite." She smiled and handed it to me.
"Thanks." I smiled. I sat it down on my desk.
"So, since we didn't get to celebrate your birthday maybe after the meeting we could go to that new club that just open in the city."
"How exactly will we get in this club?"
The club was and eighteen or older and I didn't have a fake I.D.
"Carter, Jamie's mate brother owns the club."
Jamie was one of my other friends that were in the pack, and so was her mate Carter. We had all grown up together and when they both turned sixteen they just happen to be mates.
"I don't know."
All I wanted to do was lie in my bed and cry some more.
"Please?" She begged. "Everybody going to be there, and it will get your mind off of things."
"I guess." I hesitated
"Yay!" She jump up in down like a little kid.

After the pack meeting was over, Natalie and I went back to my house to get ready.
"I not so sure about this." I look at myself in the mirror, I was wearing a very short black one sleeve open shoulder dress, with black pumps. My dirty blonde hair was in its natural wavy curls. Natalie did my makeup; she put thick layers of mascara and liquid eyeliner on my eyelid, and red lipstick.
"Why? You look great." She compliment me as she added gloss to her lips.
I took a deep breath trying to calm myself, "Okay. Let's go."
It took an hour and 15 minutes just to get to the club with it being so far in the city. From there we skipped the line and went straight to the front.
"Names?" Asked the muscle bodyguard that held a clipboard.
"Hailee and Natalie." He nodded before unhooking the rope and letting us through.
"Look there's everybody." Natalie said pointing towards the VIP section where, Jamie, her mate Carter, Candice and Emily where, "Come on." Natalie grabbed a hold of my hand and led us to the group.
"Hailee, happy birthday." Jamie, Candice and Emily said hugging me and then Natalie.
"Thanks!" As we took our seat Carter had come back from the bar. "Hey Carter."
"Hey, happy b-day." He hugged me.
"Thanks!"
"Here are your shots." A female waitress said as she held a tray full of shot glasses. Carter must have talked her into giving us drinks since we were all underage. We all grabbed one and tossed back the shot of vodka.
"Keep them coming, Wendy." Carter said to the waitress. Wendy walked back and forth bringing us shots, after about five or six we went to the dance floor. When I double digits I started to forget all my problems, and just swayed to the music. And that was the last thing I remember before waking up in an empty motel room.
