Happily Ever After

Magic
Was in the air
That night we danced.
Immersed in your presence
I finally felt
At home.
I craved nothing more
Than to capture it.
That moment,
That feeling,
That peace.
A fantasy
Come to life,
The tale
Of a duchess
And her prince.
But in the end
Every star must die,
Every song must end,
And we are faced
With reality.
I guess
Not all stories
Have happy endings,
And not all princesses
Live happily ever after.
