Austin's POV
Did she just break up with me? I sat stunned for about 2 seconds. No no no no. She nuts if she thinks she's leaving me.
I ran after her and caught her before she could hide in her office. I pulled her arm and dragged her back to the my office.
"Let go of me." She said with gritted teeth trying to pull my arm from my grasp.
Lucus thank god wasn't at his desk.
I pulled her to my office and pushed her in.
"What the hell Austin!" She said angry.
"What the hell with you! You're breaking up with me?"
"I just think we need a break from one another that's all! It's best for both of us."
"For you probably! Not me!" I ran my hand through my hair in frustration.
"We both know that our relationship wasn't getting.." I had to stop her.
"No I knew our relationship was going to get rocky but I thought we would get through it. But not you! When the going gets tough you run!" She just looked at me in fury but sadness too.
"I'm scared okay!" Tears were coming down her eyes. "I'm scared Austin." She paused. "I'm scared to get too close to you." What?
"I thought you said you loved me?"
"I do with all my heart. It's just that...we got into this too fast. And I know when you are done with me you are going to leave and its me alone again. I was afraid of you leaving me for her." She wiped her tears and continued.
"I got so mad at you yesterday because everything you told me was the truth." She sagged her shoulders in defeat. "You are right I don't know what it feels like to have a family and I don't know what it feels like to be in a relationship with someone you are attracted to because I isolated myself from anyone that wanted to. I should just trust you more. I don't even care really what happened with you and Alison. It's just curiousity, really." Thank god she let go of that Alison bullshit. Nothing happened. It was just lunch.
It was my turn. "Averey never think that another girl is going to take me away from you. And I think I need to be more considerate when it comes to you too. I shouldn't of crossed the line with your past last night." I fucked up. I'll admit it.
"It's something I needed to hear. Don't apologize." She said.
"No please hear me out. I'm just a mean guy Averey I'm not used to being nice to people. Not even past girlfriends. I was rude and disrespectful last night. I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. But Averey we are not breaking up. I told you I'm not letting you go. If you really, like really want to break up than tell me now." I needed to know if I forced her into this.
She wouldn't look at me so I grabbed her chin and forced her to look up at me. She looked at me. I waited for her answer.
"No I don't want to." I let out my held breath. Thank god.
"Than why did you want to break up?"
"Because I thought it would be best for you. I don't know why you even like me to be honest. You could have any girl you want and you picked me. I just don't get it."
"There is something about you Averey. I can't stay away. You pull me in like no other girl has before. You are beautiful, innocent, funny and a smartass. I'm fully attracted to you. Just know that I love you and you are the only girl I want. You make me whole."
She smiled up at me and forced my lips to hers. Woah.
She stopped and looked at me.
"I'm broken Austin and you need to fix me."
She kissed me again. Oh do I love this girl.
"I hate fighting with you. No more fights okay?" I said.
"No more fighting." She smiled and continued to kiss me.

Averey's POV
I felt like things were actually good and it was going to stay good. Austin told me what he wanted to say, I said want I wanted to say. Everything was cleared up. And I'm happy about that.
It was time for Arthur to pick me up. He texted me he was outside. I was gathering my things to leave when Austin barges into my office.
"Going already?"
"Yeah he texted me he was here."
"Okay text me when you get home. Give me some piece of mind." I only smiled at him and hugged the man I love.
"Yes...Sir." I kissed him and started to walk out.
"Love you." He yelled when I entered the elevator.
"Love you too." The last thing I saw was his smile before the elevator door closed. He knew how to make a girl special.
I walked out of the building door and saw Arthur leaning against his car, smiling. He was wearing something casual and I wondered if I should've went more casual. I could've brought extra clothes. We were going to dinner right?
He did have a really nice car though. It was a red Lamborghini.
"Hey Averey."
"Hi Arthur."
"Lets go shall we." We got in the car and we were off.
"Nice car by the way." I commented.
"I worked hard for it." He turned to me and smiled. I started to feel guilty because I didn't work as hard for my car like he did.
"So I was thinking we should go to an amusement park." I was shocked that he even had that in mind.
"Really?" I said excited. I haven't been to an amusement park in years.
"Yeah. It would've been boring just going out to dinner and talk the whole time."
I totally agreed. But...."I'm wearing heels Arthur."
"I thought you would so I got you a pair of Converse." He pulled up a bag from the little area behind his seat. "Here. There are socks in there too." Wow he really had everything planned out.
I opened the bag and noticed that they were brand new. Oh god. "Arthur I should pay you for these."
"No need to Averey. Can't a big brother do a favor for his little sister." He smiled but kept his eyes on the road.
He turned on the radio and on came on one of my favorite songs. Something To Believe In by Young the Giant.
"I love this song!" I said.
He turned to face me and said, "Me too! It's been in my head all morning. Since it was the last thing I heard before I got off the car." Than he started to sing.
Oh. My. God. He can sing.
"And he says, I've got you written in a black book, by the railroad track. You see, I know your fate."
My mouth dropped open in astonishment. He was singing like no one was around. I can tell he enjoyed it.
He turned to me and saw my shocked face. "You can sing. Like really good." I said.
"Nah. It just comes out and it happens to be good." He laughed a little. "Come on sing with me."
"It will compare nothing to you. You've been warned." He just laughed and started to sing again. He motioned his hand for me to join.
Whatever. I feel comfortable with him anyways.
"I'll give you something to believe in. Burn up the basement full of demons. Realize you're a slave to your mind, break free. I'll give you something to believe in..."
We sang the rest of the way to the amusement park. It felt good to have a brother. Family period.
We got our tickets, which he paid for and started to figure which ride we would go on.
"I hope you're not afraid of heights." He said.
"I am but can manage."
"Good because we are going on that one." He pointed to a roller coaster so I looked at it and kept looking up and up. Oh. My. God. It's HUGE!
"You up for it." He asked teasing a little.
I had to show no mercy.
"Let's do this." He smiled at me and started walking towards the roller coaster. Oh god.
We got to the line and were happy the wait was only 15 minutes. While waiting I asked, "So why did you decide to get tattoos?"
"Well I'm not going to be cliche and say they all mean something because half of them don't but I like having tattoos because...well I think of them as a shield. They hide the real me." Interesting. "This is going to sound really really weird but I have a tattoo of your name."
WHAT?!
"I knew I shouldn't of told you. But it...just came out." He turned away.
I wasn't mad or weirded out, just a little surprised.
"Arthur I'm not weirded out. I'm just shocked. I didn't know you existed till yesterday yet you have me on your body permanently. Do I mean that much to you?"
"You do Averey. I've loved you since you came home from the hospital. But when we were separated it changed everything. I got a tattoo of your name because you will always be apart of my heart and I was just waiting for you to come in my life again. The tattoo gave me...reassurance or hope."
"Can I see it? Or is it possible for me to see?" I didn't know where he had it on his body.
"Of course it's just on my arm." He turned his arm so I can see it. Ironically it was my name in the middle of a rose. It's beautiful.
"I love it." I smiled at him and he was rather surprised I said that. "Even though we don't know each other that well. You still got my name on your body and that means a lot. It tells me you care for me." I hugged him like a sister should and he hugged me back.
We pulled down the safety guard and were waiting in anticipation. I can't believe I'm doing this. I'm going to die.
"You ready little sis?"
"I hope." He grabbed my hand for support. He smiled at me in reassurance.
Than we started moving. My heart was beating super fast. Calm down Averey. Don't give yourself a heart attack.
"Open your eyes, its more surreal!" Arthur said while we started going up the big hill.
"Okay." I said nervously.
Up and up and up. It was never ending. When I looked to my side all I could see was the view. Wow. But then we started descending.
I was screaming at the top of my lungs.
Me: AAAAHHHHHHH!
Arthur: WWWOOOOOOO!
After my stomach left my body. We started going through all the loops and hills. I was screaming but with a smile on my face. This is sooo fun! Then we came back to where we started. The adrenaline was still there. I wanted to go on more rides!
After a couple more rides we decided to eat. We wanted junk food.
I got a huge corn dog while Arthur got a fried pickle with a hot dog in it. The things people come up with.
While eating Arthur said, "So Averey I want to know more about you."
"Ask away." I bit into my corn dog.
After asking me some basic questions he asked, "Are you and Mr. Carter you know...a thing?"
"You could say that."
"I sort of figured. He is very protective of you. When I came to his office asking for you he wanted to know who and why I was there looking for you particularly. He wasn't very happy to see me though when I walked in. Jealous type I guess." That's Austin for you.
"Yeah he is." Just thinking of him made me happy.
"I can see you really like him. You smiled when I said his name."
"I love him." Simple.
"Woah I didn't know it was that serious."
"We have our moments. So any girl steal your heart yet?"
"I've had girlfriends here and there nothing serious though."
"I see." We continued to eat when I forgot to tell him about Tori's party. "Hey I was wondering if you would like to come to Austin's or Mr. Carter's sister's party tomorrow. The theme is black and white ball sort of thing."
He was thinking. "Yeah I'd be able to make it."
"Yay! I'll send you the address and you can meet me there."
"Sounds like a plan."

We were on the road again and I was pooped. This day was so fun and just awesome.
"Thank you Arthur for today. I had so much fun." He turned to me and smiled.
"Me too Averey and you're welcome."
We just rode back in silence. It was comfortable silence though.
We stopped in front of my apartment and I got off but so did Arthur.
He came around and gave me a hug goodbye with a kiss on the forehead. He was really the best big brother.
I walked up to the door and noticed it was unlocked. Lucus' is home. I waved goodbye to Arthur as he pulled away.
I noticed the lights were off. It was only 10:30. I got some water and went to my room to text Austin I was home safe and sound.
Weirdly Ozzy didn't greet me like he always does. I opened my room door and seen why I didn't see Ozzy.
Austin and Ozzy were knocked out on my bed. Really guys. What a surprise though.
I changed into my big t-shirt and carefully crawled into bed. Ozzy was snoring like the little puppy he is. I picked him up and he only opened his eyes a little. I put him in his bed and he went right back to bed. I crawled back in not to wake up Austin. He is a deep sleeper. I got under the blankets and squeezed my body in.
Austin woke up and noticed I was there. He moved a little so I could have more room. I got comfortable and when Austin knew I was he put his arm around my waist and his head on my shoulder. Right back to sleep.
I watched him for a while but soon dozed off happy.
