Okay. I have to try to stay calm.
I wasn't making any sense in my last update. And it's really important that I make coherent sense this time. Because I don't really know how much longer I'll be able to post these updates at all.
I think I should just try to describe what's happening in as much detail as possible. That way at least it'll be posted publically online. And then maybe someone, the police or whoever, can use the information to get me help.
So, here's where I am right now. I'm in, like, a room. A small room
Oh my God. Sorry. I have to focus. I'm so scared right now I can barely concentrate. But I have to focus.
So, okay, the room. It has freshly painted white walls. And a white linoleum floor. It's a really small room. Like maybe ten feet wide? And it's almost totally bare. There's a narrow bed with an arched rail behind the pillow, like one of those old-fashioned hospital beds. There's a little radiator right next to it.
The bedroom door is locked. And it's really sturdy. I can't budge it at all.
Also, there's a bathroom, but without a door—it looks like someone maybe took the door off the hinges. Inside the bathroom is just a sink, a toilet, and an old claw-foot tub. That's it.
There's something else I should mention, too. Everything is, like, weirdly clean. I can smell disinfectant really strongly. I don't know why, but something about how everything is so bare and sanitized is making me even more scared. It just feels really creepy.
But, okay, here's what's really freaking me out. The only other furniture in the room besides the bed is a little desk with a folding chair, and on the desk is a computer screen. It's really old. Like from the '90s or something. It has this big chunky keyboard. But there's no computer tower at all. Not inside the room anyway. All the cords from the screen and keyboard run through a little hole in the wall behind the desk. Even the power cord does. So the computer tower itself must be in the next room over.
But that's not all. Here's what's really, really terrifying me. Here's what has me shaking like this and why I can't stop my heart from racing.
When I turned on the screen, Wattpad was up on it.
But I can't navigate anywhere else. There's no place to enter a web address at the top. And whenever I click on any link to an outside site, nothing happens. I can't even minimize the browser. Someone has hacked the computer so all I can see is just my Wattpad account.
Why would someone do something like this to me? I don't understand what's going on. I'm lost. I, just, I give up. I don't get any of this.
I'm sorry. I have to take a minute because I'm breaking down crying again. I'm trying to be strong, but it's really hard. I didn't know it was possible to feel this afraid.
. . . Okay. I think I've pulled myself together a little bit. I just need to focus on getting this post off as quickly as possible.
Did I leave anything out?
I should probably describe what I see outside the window. I guess that would be the most useful information for anyone who might try to find me. And that's a really depressing thought, because the only thing I can see outside, besides the bars on the window, is miles and miles of hillside covered in nothing but trees. I can't find a single distinguishing landmark.
I think I can hear a power generator somewhere in the distance. Other than the faint clicking of the radiator, though, it's totally silent.
So: I'm in what must be a house somewhere way out in the mountains. I'm locked in a room with pretty much nothing but a computer. And—very, very weirdly—it will display nothing but Wattpad.
Oh God. I have to throw up.
