"If I see one scratch, one scratch, on my car after this car ride, I am going to sue you for destruction of property." I threatened. "Or... I can give you a good beating." I added as an afterthought.
Julian scoffed. "Jeez. Violent much?" He rolled his eyes. "You have nothing to worry about, brownie. Calm down." He said, calmly. "Besides, I can probably pay for any damage." He added.
There was silence. "So does that mean... you really are going to scratch my car because I really am going to sue."
"Claire, it's just a car!"
I gasped dramatically. "How dare you say that! It's... it's like saying your-your phone is just a gadget." I touched the dashboard of my car and said, "It's okay, baby. He didn't mean it. You're more than just a car."
It was his turn to gasp dramatically. "How could you? This baby is my life!"
I laughed, rolling my eyes. "I cannot believe we are having this conversation." I muttered.
"Whatever." He said and pouted.
"Good come back, princess. My grandmother could've thought of that." I mumbled. "And stop pouting. You look like a big baby."
He glanced at me and grinned. "Your big baby." He teased.
I scrunched up my nose in disgust. "Don't... Please... No. Good God, no. Just no. Never tell me that ever again."
He laughed.
"Where are we going, anyway? You just passed by my street, meaning you are clearly not taking me home." I said.
"We're stopping by Henry's Diner."
"Oh, yay! That's great, cause I am craving for a strawberry milkshake." I smiled.
"You and your cravings." He muttered.
