The moment I came to my senses, I knew this wasn't my bed. This isn't my house, either.
I laid still for a few seconds, motionless as I racked my brain for an explanation as to why the wall before me was baby pink, rather than my usual navy.
The white sheet covering my body was tugged up and off my leg. I tugged right back in response, earning a groan from the person laying adjacent to me. "Fucking stop, would you?"
I froze at the voice. No. God no.
"Why are you here?" I whispered, terrorised.
We both turned to face one another, slowly and hesitantly. It wasn't long until was opposite the baby face that I forever wanted to punch repeatedly; I was eye to eye with Ross Lynch. "Oh shit, fam."
"We didn't.."
"I don't know, I can't remember." He ran a hand through his hair. "This isn't good."
"This isn't good?! This is against every law passed by the Supreme Court, Mother Nature, the Universe!" I slid my hands over my face, and then over my nether regions, sighing as I felt the lace on my hip, but not the bra on my chest. Ross looked at me awkwardly. "Oh you better be dressed under there."
He guffawed in response, and I swung my legs over the edge, wrapping the blanket around me. "Hayley! I'm naked too."
"Flip yourself over; it's not like you have an ass."
We held a long glare until he growled, hauling himself up to get dressed whilst I searched for the wretched bra.
I came across it - or he did, inside one of the sleeves of his denim jacket.
I grimaced, picking it back up and pitting it on, topped by the pretty floral dress I wore yesterday with my brown boots. A wave of nausea and a headache all hit me at once.
Hangover.
"Hay-" I barely allowed him to speak before storming out of the room.
"There you are!" Lia, the ultra popular girl who invited me to the party asked me, a tray of cleaning supplies in her hands. "I don't suppose you've seen-"
And Blondie exits. Her jaw goes slack for a few moments before she pulls herself together, realisation washing over her.
We separated from there and I pranced about frantically looking for my best friend who slept on a pizza shaped inflatable in the pool. I tossed an empty beer bottle at her stomach, waking her up at once. "Fight me- oh hey, Hayley. You look less wasted."
"Let's go, Belle." I sighed.
"Alright." She paddled to the side and I helped her out. "I suspect you know what happened last night, right?"
"I just woke up and Ross was there. I don't remember anything." I sighed, leaning on the dashboard once we reached the car.
"Check Instagram, sweetheart."
Run me over and call me dinner. He was all over me, blackout drunk, and I was all over him, in virtually the same state as he was.
There were photos of us dancing, a video of us taking shots and me sat on his lap, drinking something.
Have I just hooked up with my arch-enemy?
