(Niall's P.O.V.)
When I woke up that morning I knew something was wrong. My whole body ached and I had chills running down my spine. My stomach churned making me feel nauseous. Harry had just gotten over having a stomach bug. Odds are I caught it. I was with him through most of it my chances of getting sick were pretty high. I sat up slowly making my way to the front of the bus and grabbing myself a bottle of water and a few stomach relaxers. The boys didn't need to know I was sick too. Today's workload was pretty light. We only had one interview so I knew I could push through. I took the pills and took a few deep breaths, rubbing my stomach gently trying to calm it down. I figured since I was up I might as well get ready. I grabbed my clothes and hopped in the shower. The hot water felt good on my sore muscles but it was not helping my nauseous belly. I only stayed in for a little bit before getting out and getting dressed. I threw a hat over my head knowing Lou would do my hair later. I laid down on the couch and let my tired eyes shut so I could fall back to sleep.
(Harry's P.O.V.)
Liam woke me up and I stretched before getting out of bed. Louis was of course putting up a fight. I pulled back Niall's shade but he wasn't in bed. I walked out to the front finding him lying on the couch. He was already dressed so he must've gotten up a while ago but something didn't look quite right. I couldn't put my finger on it. The other two came out front and looked at Niall.
"He's already dressed might as well let him sleep," Liam said making a pot of tea. I nodded and walked back over to them. I kept looking over at Niall though. Something just didn't feel right but I brushed it off and sat down with them to eat breakfast as we all took turns getting ready. When Niall started to move I looked over at him. He blinked his eyes a few times before turning to face us.
"Morning," I smiled.
"How long have you guys been up?" he asked sitting up slowly.
"About an hour," Liam started. "We figured you were already dressed so we'd just let you sleep a bit longer."
"Why were you up so early?" I asked him. He shrugged.
"Couldn't sleep," he replied. I nodded a little. "How much longer until we get there?" He asked looking over at Liam.
"We should be there shortly," Liam replied. Niall nodded.
"You want some breakfast Niall?" I asked him. He paused for a minute before nodding. He got up slowly and came and sat down with us, grabbing a few pieces of toast and some cereal. He didn't say much after that. We sat around until we had reached the building our interview was being held and got off the bus. I noticed Niall was moving a lot slower than he normally did. I jogged up to him and walked beside him.
"Hey," he smiled.
"Nialler are you alright?" I asked. He kind of looked at me for a moment.
"Yeah I'm fine, why?" he asked
"You just don't seem like yourself today."
"I told you guys I didn't sleep very well. I'm fine really." I looked at him skeptically before nodding. I didn't ask him any more questions. We walked into the building and got ready for the interview.
(Niall's P.O.V.)
Harry was defiantly on to me. I just had to make it through the interview and I would be fine. I sat down in Lou's chair as she started doing my hair. I let my eyes shut and carefully put my hand on my bloated stomach.
"You alright Niall? A bit quieter than usual today," she asked kindly. I just nodded. She shrugged it off and kept going. I felt her hand brush my face and heard her gasp a little. She put her hand back on my head and I knew she was feeling for a fever. "Niall sweetheart I think you've got a fever." There was no point in lying now.
"I haven't been feeling well all day," I admitted.
"Do the other boys know?" I shook my head. "Will you be ok to go out there?"
"Yeah, I just need to make it through the interview and I'll be fine after that."
"I think maybe you should tell one of the boys," she said softly. I sighed.
"I know I should but they would just make a big fuss about it and I'm alright." She nodded a little.
"Alright love if you're sure." I nodded. "Well you're all set, good luck out there." I smiled and thanked her and left the room.
I avoided the boys until we had to go on. I felt dreadful and I'm sure they'd all be able to tell now. We were ushered out to the set and sat down on the couch. Harry sat down next to me. I could tell he knew something was wrong.
"Niall." I looked over at him. "Are you ok?"
"I don't-" I didn't get a chance to finish when the interviewer came out. He gave me sad smile before turning his attention to the interviewer. I sat quietly for a while before my stomach started to get queasy again. I started to shift around trying to get comfortable but I couldn't. I was worried I would throw up right there. Harry leaned over and quietly whispered in my ear.
"You ok Nialler?" I turned to face him so I could whisper to him.
"I don't feel good," I explained sadly. I put my hand on my stomach and took a deep breath. Harry put his arm on the back of the couch and started slowly rubbing my back. As the interview went on my stomach was becoming more upset and I really needed to get out of there. I looked over at Harry who got the hint quickly. He asked the interviewer if we could take a short break and he allowed us to get up for a while. Before anyone could say anything I bolted to the nearest bathroom and sat on the floor in one of the stalls. I closed my eyes waiting for something to happen when the other boys burst through the door.
"Niall?" Liam called.
"I'm in here," I answered. They knelt down beside me and looked at each other sadly.
"Why didn't you tell us you were ill mate?" Louis asked softly.
"I thought I could make it through the interview." I gagged as my stomach tried to send up my small breakfast. "Shit," I muttered to myself. I leaned over the toilet preparing for the worst. All three boys tried to comfort me as best they could. Before I knew it my breakfast was in my throat and making an appearance in the water.
"We really should cut the interview short. He can't go back out there," Liam sighed. The others agreed. Louis and Liam went to talk to Paul and explain my condition. Harry stayed with me as I continued retching over the bowl.
"I got you sick didn't I Niall?" he asked softly. I coughed a few times before flushing the toilet and leaning back.
"I could've gotten it from anywhere," I lied.
"No, you were with me when I was sick," he sighed.
"I'll be ok," I told him shutting my eyes. Louis came back into the bathroom.
"We can take Niall back to the bus but we have to go back out there." Harry nodded and helped me to my feet. Paul took me back to the bus where I laid down in my bunk curling up in my blankets. I still felt like I could throw up so I grabbed the trash can and put it beside my bed before laying back down.
I couldn't fall asleep. I laid there in bed curled up in a ball trying to keep my stomach where it belonged. I didn't seem to be succeeding. I felt my stomach lurch and I sat up quickly grabbing the bin right before I began spewing into it. The boys walked in right at that time and came running back to me. Liam had grabbed some water and medicine while the other two comforted me. When I was finished Harry took the bin from my hands and Liam handed me the medicine and the water which I accepted happily.
"You alright now Nialler?" Liam asked.
"I think so," I replied.
"Call us if you need anything," he told me. I nodded and laid back down. Harry brought the trash bin back to me and crawled into bed with me wrapping his arms around me.
"You took care of me, now it's my turn," he whispered. He started to gently rub my stomach which felt amazing.
"Thank you Harry." I rested for most of that day. Harry never left my side and the other boys made sure I had everything I needed. I was feeling much better by the next morning. I thanked the boys for taking such good care of me and we were back to our busy selves in no time.
