he inhaled, before puffing large clouds of thick grey smoke into the air around him. he sighed heavily, lazy eyes wondering. he then released the cigarette from his fingers, stomping on it with his boot clad foot. he pushed a hand through his fading orange hair, only leading to it just flopping back around his face. he really hated mornings. he stood outside for another couple seconds, trying to rid himself of the smell of smoke. yoongi really hated it when he smoked. (a/n hehe i bet you thought it was gonna be yoongi smoking)
unfortunately, before jimin could even process it, yoongi was was standing in front of him, a disapproving look in his dark eyes. "if the smoking doesnt kill you i will." yoongi muttered under his breath, a furious look in his eyes. yoongi wasnt actually angry at jimin, he could never really be angry at him, he just didnt appreciate him doing this. "sorry, hyung." jimin said sincerely, even though it only managed to make yoongi more irritated since he had used honorifics. "its just yoongi, you know that." he said sharply, watching jimin roll his eyes.
"so, where to today, yoongi?" jimin asked causally as he laced their fingers together. seconds later, he bounced away from yoongis grip. "oh gosh i dont smell of smoke, do i? i know you hate that, god, im so sorry." he rushed his words, lifting each side of his zip-up sweatshirt to make sure they didnt reek of cigarettes. yoongi chuckled lowly as reached for jimins hand again, "dont worry about it." was all that he said before starting to walk again, dragging a worried looking jimin alongside him.
they walked as far as a nearby park, before settling down beside one another on a vacant swing set. yoongi absentmindedly picked at the rips in his jeans as jimin admired the bundles of flowers growing around them. yoongi was too distracted by his own little nervous habits that he hadnt noticed when jimin got up. he only looked up at him when jimin was already tucking a flower behind yoongis ear. it was a small, white daisy, sticking out through strands of yoongis fading mint colored hair. jimin wished he hadnt left his phone at home.
at some point, jimin had decided it would be a great idea to climb the closest tree. so, he clumsily made his way up, clutching to each branch as tightly as he could. yoongi watched from his seat on one of the swings, his stomach tight with worry, though he would never admit that. on his way down, jimin made one small wrong calculation with his footing, and went tumbling down to the ground. it was a rather small fall, nothing major, but it did earn him a large cut on his thumb. when he jogged back over to yoongi, he was sucking on his thumb to stop the little bleeding.
yoongi said nothing as jimin sat beside him, just fished two band aids from his back pocket. he carefully unwrapped one after the other, placing each on jimins cut and securing them in place. jimin smiled to himself when yoongi was finished patching him up, placing a kiss on the older boys temple. all of a sudden, a big gust of wind blew through them, sending yoongis daisy into the air. "oh no, the flower got blown out of my hair!" yoongi said rapidly, a look of utter despair on his face.
jimin just laughed, "its no big deal, hyung, i'll just get a new one for you." jimin told him, getting up to go pluck a new one. yoongi slumped back down, ignoring the use of hyung. "yeah but that one was special." he muttered under his breath as jimin secured another daisy onto yoongis head. jimin smiled widely, "this one can be special, too." he whispered lovingly once he had settled the flower into yoongis hair. yoongi sighed softly, eventually nodding in agreement with jimins statement.
as jimin sat back down, another gust of wind sent tons of stray leaves flying through the air around them. jimin closed his eyes, his arms open wide, taking the chilly air in. yoongi admired him from his place, watching the small curve of jimins full lips and the ends of jimins jacket moving with the force of the cool air. no matter how much jimin smoked and wore big, black boots, he would always be yoongis beautiful, optimistic sunshine boy at the end of the day. and yoongi couldnt be happier because of it.
