Alyssa cried onto Tori's shoulder, her body shaking with every sob. Scott and Avi sat next to each other, tears running down their faces. Mitch had his head on Scott's lap, crying heavily as he tried to keep his sobs from echoing across the hospital. Ben and Jessi held onto each other, crying silently in fear that if they cried loudly everyone else will cry harder and they didn't want that.
Kevin is brain dead.

"Family of Kevin Olusola?"
Is brain dead.
"Yes?" Alyssa asked, trying to keep herself together. The twins were sitting on Avi's lap while Jordyn and Melody were next to him, sleeping in their little baby carriers. "Is it time?"
"We're turning off the machines. You could still see him if you want to."
Alyssa fell onto her knees, crying loudly as she screamed. The man she loved, married, made love with, had children with, and fought with is dying and there is nothing she could do about it. She felt someone pick her up, trying to make her stable so she wouldn't fall. The nurse looked at the family sadly as she looked at her clipboard once more and raised an eyebrow, confused by something.
"I'll be right back."
The nurse ran off, hoping to find Kevin's Doctor in time. She smiled when she saw him, running up to him immediately. The doctor widened his eyes a bit, nodding slowly.
"It states here that Kevin Olusola is brain dead."
"Yes it does. We're pulling the plug today."
"But this has incorrect information. We do not have a doctor here that goes by J. Lewis. We have an imposter on our hands."
"Wait, so that means..."
"We have the wrong files. The doctor who diagnosed Kevin probably didn't even see him. Someone must be pulling a trick on the Pack."
"Well, I guess we must find Kevin's files to find out if he is okay."
"I know exactly what his real diagnosis is. It's-"
"May I see my husband one last time?" Alyssa asked, her voice shaking. The Pack was behind her, all on similar states of sadness. "Please."
"We found out that Kevin was misdiagnosed. Someone was pulling a prank on you guys."
"Wait," Scott spoke up, quite confused. "Are you trying to say that..."
"Yes, I am. Kevin is stable enough to wake up. He is not brain dead."

Alyssa held Kevin's hand, hoping just for a little squeeze. The doctor managed to find Kevin's real files and told her that he will be in the coma for another week or less. He is, however, suffering from a minor brain injury and temporary paralysis, but with some psychical therapy, he will be better in no time.
"Beta Alyssa?"
She turned around, smiling when she saw Mitch's tiny figure standing by the door way. With the oversized sweater he was wearing, he looked like a little child and it made him look more innocent than he already is. He skipped to Alyssa and sat down on the extra chair, smiling at her sweetly.
"Scott said I could stay with you, but I have to be by your side entire time. I hope you don't mind."
"I don't mind at all. You are not bothering me at all."
Mitch smiled then frowned slightly as he thought back to the interview. A question that Alyssa answered kind of bothered him but not as much as the answer did. What did she mean by mentality of a child?
"Alyssa, do I really have a mentality of a child? What does that even mean?"
Alyssa looked up from Kevin, trying to figure out how to explain this. Yes, Omegas are supposed to be like little children, but there are children that have mentalities that are 'older' than Mitch's mentality. A six year knows how to spell better than him and even when he has been learning how to spell for three years, he often misspelled easy words.
Math was another struggle. He did fine with the basic problems, such as 2+2 but struggled with others. He did not know how to 'carry' a number or knew how to subtract that well. Multiplication and division, especially fractions, are not Mitch's forte. He struggles with a lot of things most young Omegas could do by the time they are ten to fifteen. He's twenty one, turning twenty two, and he does not know a lot.
"Mitch, you have a mentality of a hold because you do not really know a lot of stuff," Alyssa told him, hoping her words won't hurt him. She took his hands in her own, sighing to herself. "Math and English are your biggest struggles and even though most people struggle with that, you have a harder time than most people. You also spent a majority of your life around children and you think that is how you're supposed to act. Also, your parents told me this a while back.
"When you were five, you were diagnosed with a mental disorder that makes you younger than you actually are mentally. Even though you look twenty one, you're actually a kid mentally. Your parents do not know what your mental age is, but they do think that not putting you in school was a big contributor to making the disorder worse. You're getting better though and that's all that matters, okay?"
Mitch nodded, tears running down his cheeks. If his parents never lied to him, he could've attended Omega school. He would not be struggling easily with his studies nor make such childish decisions. That might explain why everyone laughs at him whenever they try to figure something out and he suggests something a young child would suggest. He bit his finger nail, looking at Alyssa sadly.
"Am I stupid?"
"No, baby! You're not, okay? You're different and that's okay. You are so special. You are not, nor will you ever be, stupid. All you'll ever be is yourself."
Alyssa hugged her brother as he began to cry, rubbing his back gently. She couldn't help but tear up herself. Mitch is the kindest and most gentle person she knows. Every trial he's faced only made him stronger yet more closed off. He kept to himself and that scared the Pack more than anything. Alyssa never wants that to happen again.
Never.

"Darn it!"
"What's the matter?"
"Kevin didn't die."
"I told you we should've used the real doctor's name but we had to use yours! You're so stupid, Jeremy!"
He rolled his eyes, being used to Kirstin's blowups towards him. She was a short fuse and if you did anything wrong, you better back up.
"Ma'am?"
"What?!"
Alex stood behind her timidly, his eyes full of exhaustion. He looked a bit skinny and his cheeks are hallowed, making it look like he hasn't eaten in a long time. He looked dirty too and was is desperate need of a bath, but Kirstin forbidden him to do so.
"I want to go home. I miss Jake. I want to love him aga-"
"Then I guess you should've been more careful when you were hurting Mitch, uh?! Should've thought of that before going crazy."
Alex bit his lip, the ableist term hurting his heart. Jeremy glared at him, shaking his head. The Omega sighed as he thought of something, hoping this will be good for all of them.
"I'll do one thing if you agree to let me go."
"What is it? I might consider it."
"You let me go."
"Ha! In your dreams."
"If...I kill Mitch."
Kirstin nodded, enjoying the plan. She looked up at Jeremy, liking this side of Alex. She smirked at the Omega, her facial expressions evil.
"Fine, but before you do that, bring him here. I want to see him suffer."
"Yes, Ma'am."
Alex walked off, beginning to cry. He can't believe that this is happening or he suggested that, but he can't do anything about it now. He has to kill Mitch for his freedom.

A/N: I'm going to be honest and say that this chapter broke my heart.:( My heart breaks for the Pack and for Mitch. My heart is cracked by Pentatonix for Alex even though what he promised is more than horrible. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed the chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
