Niall coughed into his arm as he walked slowly into the house. He had left the studio early because he was feeling a bit under the weather. He walked inside and met you in the living room. You looked up at him surprised.
"Niall? What are you doing here so early?" You asked. He coughed again.
"I'm not feeling too well," his voice was raspy and he sounded congested. You got up quickly and went to him.
"Poor baby, why didn't you tell me you were sick?" you asked. He shrugged a little. He coughed again into his arm and you could hear his chest rattle. "You poor thing. Here sit down, I'm going to see if we have any medicine." He nodded and sat down on the couch. You walked into your bathroom and rummaged around in the cupboards finding nothing. You sighed and shut the cupboard door and walked out to Niall. He was now laying down on the cough and he continued coughing. He saw you walking back and reached his hand up for you. You held his hand and smiled down at him.
"Anything?" he asked. You shook your head sadly.
"What hurts? I'll go and get some medicine for you," you told him.
"I've got this cough, my throat hurts, my head his congested and full of pressure. I'm pretty sure I'm dying." You scoffed at his dramatic comment.
"Right, I'll run to the store and get you some medicine. How's that sound?"
"Better hurry. I'm wasting away to nothing," he smiled a little.
"You're so dramatic blondie." You grabbed you keys and went to the store. You grabbed a couple different kinds of medicine and some soup and juice just so he couldn't complain. You went back to the house and found Niall sound asleep on the couch. You smiled to yourself and put the groceries away and brought the medicine back to him. You kissed him gently on his forehead feeling a slight fever but nothing serious. He opened his eyes and looked up at you.
"Hey."
"I see you're still living," you smirked.
"I'm just barely hanging on." You rolled your eyes and pulled out the packets of medicine.
"Take your pick." He grabbed one of the boxed after examining all of them and opened it. You went to the kitchen and grabbed him a bottle of water so he could take the pills. You handed the water to him which he accepted happily.
"Thanks darling." He opened the packet and popped the pills in his mouth taking a swig of water to wash them down.
"How bout I make you some soup? That sound good?" Niall nodded. You went back to the kitchen and quickly made Niall some soup knowing it would probably make him feel a little better. You brought the bowl back to him and he sat up taking it from you.
"Thanks Y/N." You sat down next to him.
"How long have you been feeling ill?" You asked him.
"It started yesterday my throat was a bit sore and I had a headache. It just progressed into this."
"You should've told me buddy."
"I know, I'm sorry love. I figured it would just go away." He finished the soup and yawned. "I'm exhausted."
"Why don't you go on to bed. You need to rest. I'll wake you up in a bit when you can take more medicine." Niall nodded and got up and walked into the bathroom. You took his bowl to the sink and washed it and put it away. You kept yourself busy for a few hours straightening up the house until you notice it was time for Niall to take more medicine. You grabbed the packet and his water and walked into the bedroom. He was sound asleep in bed snoring a little do to his congestion. You shook him gently until his opened his eyes. "Hey buddy. It's time for some more medicine." He nodded and took the pills and the water and swallowed them. "All good?" He nodded. "Alright, you need anything else?"
"No, I'm alright. Still pretty tired."
"Get some more rest." You kissed his cheek and he cuddled back up in his blankets. It was getting late so you made yourself dinner. As you ate you started to notice a slight tickle in your throat. You took a drink of water and shrugged it off. When you got ready for bed you woke Niall up one last time so he could take more medicine. You crawled into bed with him and you both were asleep in no time.
When your alarm went off the next more you felt your throat burn. You groaned knowing you probably had caught what Niall had. Niall opened his eyes and started to cough. You quickly gave him some more medicine which he took happily. You got up and started to get ready for work. Your head pounded and your throat ached. You grabbed one of the other boxed of medicine and took some. You didn't want Niall to know you were sick. When you left for work he was sound asleep. You didn't make it long at the office before you started coughing yourself. You began to get chills and you worried you had a fever. After a few hours your boss sent you home. When you walked back in the house you found Niall in the kitchen making himself some tea.
"Hey love, you're home early," he smiled.
"How you feeling?" you asked changing the subject away from you.
"Better, my throat isn't as sore anymore and my head is clearing up."
"Good, that's good." You started to cough and Niall looked at you with worry in his eyes.
"You alright sweetie?" he asked taking a few steps towards you. Before you could answer you started coughing again. He walked over and put his arms around you. He pressed his lips gently to your head feeling a fever. "Baby you've got a fever."
"I'm alright," you lied.
"I got you sick, didn't I?" he asked sadly.
"No, don't worry about it I'm fine." You started to cough again and you started to feel dizzy. Niall stabled you and you looked up at him. "Maybe I'm not fine."
"Maybe you're not, let's get you to bed." He led you into the bedroom and got you changed and in bed. He got you some medicine and some warm tea to soothe your throat. "How's that?" He asked.
"Good, thank you Niall." You kissed your head and laid down with you.
"Get some sleep. You need it," he whispered. You let your eyes shut and drifted off to sleep. Niall was feeling much better and spent the rest of that day taking care of you. He felt terrible he had gotten you sick. He made sure you had everything you needed until you were feeling well again.
