Three more days until valentine's day. I wondered what would happen that day. Would anyone confess to me? I was so curious. Valentine's day always spent with trading chocolates and flowers. Some guys tried to confess, but before it could happen, jungkook would always gave them warnings. Warnings that I might not accept their feelings, and they should take a risk by confessing to me.
That's true, I only liked one guy and I would reject all of the confessions. No one knew that I actually liked someone. Hyeyon and Jungkook didn't know it too. Even though they're my best friends and I trusted them, but I just couldn't tell it. All they knew was I didn't want to be in a relationship and I wanted to focus with my study. Well,that's two of the reasons but the main reason wasn't those two things.
*phone ringtone*
"Hello Jungkook?" , he called me and made me snap out from my thoughts.
"Eunseung, what are you doing?" , he probably knew what was I doing, since he's my best friend and he knew me so well.
"Really? Is it necessary to ask that? You know what am I doing" , I chuckled.
"You're laying on your bed with your baggy t-shirt and short pants, and you're not doing anything but your laptop is on. Am I right? I asked just to make sure" , yeah it's saturday and all I did every saturday was just laying on my bed with my laptop beside me. Jungkook and Hyeyon both knew it. I only went out when they asked me to.
"Yep you're absolutely right. Especially at the baggy t-shirt and short pants part" , I giggled. I really loved to wear baggy t-shirt and short pants at home. It's so comfortable. I had almost all colours of baggy t-shirt. My wardrobe and Jungkook's were really similar. We both loved to wear baggy t-shirt. The difference was, he always wears baggy t-shirt when he's out and I always wear it when I was at home.
"I knew it! Alright then, i'm on the way" , I quickly sat on my bed.
"Huh? On the way to where?" , I asked confused.
"Your house!! We're going out" , I could hear he's starting his car.
"Oh should I call hye--" , before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off.
"No way! Don't call hyeyon. It's just us" , suddenly I felt my heart beating faster like it's gonna popped out from my ribcage. It's just us, it kept ringing in my head.
"O-okay. I'll be ready" , I quickly ended up the call. I had never gone out just with Jungkook and without hyeyon. We always went together and this was the first time ever jungkook didn't ask hyeyon to join us. Hyeyon lived across my house, so I doubted if she wouldn't notice when jungkook picked me up later.
I shrugged my thoughts off and took a bath. I chose the outfit for today, and I decided to wear my black crop top with hotpants. And then I sat in front of my mirror to put a light make up. Just a little make up won't hurt ,right? I just wanted to look good, that's it.
"Eunseung may I come in?" , he knocked on my bedroom's door. Right when I finished my make up.
"Yeah just come in" , I opened the door for him.
"Woah you're wearing make up, right?" , he looked at me and then he smiled.
"Just a little"
"You look pretty even without make up, don't bother to wear it" , he patted my head. I could feel my cheeks reddened and I quickly turned around to take my phone on my bed.
"Yah I just want to wear it and I like it" , I said fiercely.
"You don't even thank me" , he crossed his arms in front of his chest and pouted playfully.
"Huh why should I?" , I tilted my head confused.
"I just gave you a compliment, okay??" , he said annoyed.
"Oh, thanks then" , I poked his pouty lips. It's so.. adorable.
"Yes! you're welcome! Let's go now!" , he dragged me to his car.
"Won't hyeyon notice that you're here?" , he started the engine.
"I don't know, but when I called her earlier, she said she's playing with her sister. So, I guess she won't notice"
"Where are we going anyway? Why hyeyon can't join us?" , I bombarded him with questions.
"You sure have a lot to ask. We're going to the mall and I need your help. Not hyeyon" , he took a glance to me while he's talking.
"Oh I see" , I nodded and felt happy. I couldn't help but grinned widely to know Jungkook needed me not hyeyon.
"Why are you smiling like that" , he laughed softly. "Are you excited because we're going to go shopping?"
Oh well he didn't need the real reason, "yeah of course! Everyone loves shopping" , I beamed happily.
We've arrived at the mall and then we walked inside.
"Where do you want to go first?" , I asked confused because we're just walking around.
"Uhmm, h&m perhaps?" , he looked at me asking for my opinion.
"Nice! I like it, let's go", I lead the way to h&m, the clothes shopping store.
"Anyway," he looked hesitated before he continued, "I need your help", he rubbed the back of his neck. He always did this when he's nervous.
"What kind of help? Why are you nervous?" , I giggled softly. It's true, he could just tell me to help him and I'd willingly help him. He didn't need to feel nervous around me.
"I..want to buy a gift" , he said, a bit stuttering. I looked at him suspiciously.
"A gift? Can you tell me who will receive this gift? So I can choose well" , my heart started to beating rapidly. I hated this kind of situation. Where I became nervous because of jungkook.
"I will tell you later.. let's just buy your things first" , he offered me with his bunny smile. I was annoyed because he kept a secret between me, his own bestfriend. I kept thinking that the person who received the gift from jungkook, must be special for him. But.. who?
"Kim eunseung! Don't dazed in the middle of the mall" , jungkook laughed a bit and dragged me to find new clothes for me.
"I think I'll just buy these 3 clothes" , I said to him.
"Really? You usually buy a lot of things when we go shopping" , I just replied with smile and went straight to the cashier. When I was about paid, jungkook held my hands down.
"I'll pay" , he said sternly.
"What the? No way jeon!" , I held his hands down this time.
"No shut up, take this as valentine's gift for you" , dang! Valentine's gift for you.... why did I feel so unspecial? He gave me the gift three days earlier and.. he gave me in this way. I was so upset and disappointed with jungkook. I was hoping more from him. I shouldn't had do that.
"Thankyou jungkook" , I finally gave in and he paid for me. As valentine's gift. It stung so much inside my heart.
"No problem at all" , he smiled.
"What kind of help do you need?"
"Actually, I like someone." , BOOM my heart was out of control. It's beating so fast.
"She is someone you know very well and so do I" , he explained. I started to make hyphotesis in my head.
HOW IF IT'S.... MIN HYEYON?
"Who is she? I guess she's so lucky" , I mumbled the last part. Of course he didn't hear.
"She is.. Min Hyeyon.. I'm going to confess my love for her on valentine's day" , my legs felt so weak. I wanted to burst out crying. I couldn't believe , jeon jungkook actually liked hyeyon. I.. just wanted to go home.. but I couldn't show my sadness in front of him. He shouldn't figure it out.. that I, actually liked him. I was trying to be hypocrite with my feelings. I held back my tears.
"O-oh" , that's all that I could say.
"Are you.. okay?" , he's concerned with me. He shouldn't be that care, I could fall for him even harder.
"O-of course! My guy bestfriend falls in love with my girl bestfriend! That's good" , I put on my fake smile. What's so good when the person that you liked, fell in love with your bestfriend.
