Kirsten's mouth dropped.
She ran out of the bathroom, and after him.
"What did you say?" She asked as though she was trying to make sure her ears weren't fooling her.
"You heard me." He growled, grabbing his jacket.
"Cameron.. I.."
He glanced at her. Staring through her eyes and deep into her soul.
"Yeah. You didn't know. Obviously."
He went to grab the door handle to leave, but turned around. He reached into his pocket, and through the small box at her feet.
"You know, I know we've only been together for about 6-7 months now, but I fell in love with you. To think that you'd pick your brother over me, your psychopathic brother, over me, the father of your child, just blows my mind. when I heard you were pregnant I was terrified, but I was also overjoyed because the love of my life, would be with me, and we were going to have a child together. I trust you. With everything in me. I love you with everything in me. And I wish I could hear you say the same."
Cameron turned towards the door to leave again, but turned around one last time.
"I still love you, and I always will. If only my love was enough to keep us going, I'd think we'd go on for eternity. But the problem here is, I give all of my love & you give none."
Kirsten, stood before him in tears. She glanced down at the ring, and back at him. As much as she wanted to stop him, she knew nothing she would do or say could.
He gave her a final glance, then turned, walked out, and slammed the door behind him. She had no idea if he'd be back, or where he was going. But one thing was for sure, their relationship was through, and as for Jacob, so was theirs.
She had never truly picked Jacob. In fact she had never said yes or no. But Cameron had taken her silence as a given answer, and the fact that he was her brother.
Kirsten believed that she couldn't blame anyone but herself and the only thing she could do now was hope to god that Cameron would come back, and that Jacob would leave.

7 Months Later
Los Angeles, California
Kirsten had become enormous. Her belly was large and plump. When she found out she was having a little girl, she was thrilled.
She hadn't heard from Jacob at all in the past 7 months, and as for Cameron, she had gotten one letter a couple of months ago. She had just never sat down to write back.
Everything had become too much. The pain for Cameron was unbearable. So he did what he knew best. He wrote a letter.
My dearest Kirsten,
Out of all the letters I have written to you, I must say this one has to be the hardest.
I know these past few months have been the hardest for us, and to think that it's all my fault, breaks my heart more and more each day.
My love if I could keep us going with love alone, you know I would. But sadly, sometimes, not even love is enough to fix what has been broken.
I know that I can never amount to the pain that you are feeling, but My heart aches for you everyday. Oh how it aches.
I'm sorry that my love couldn't keep us going. I am sorry that I wasn't enough. & I am especially sorry that I wasn't able to save our relationship.
Just know that with every thing in me I am truly sorry. Know that I would give anything to go back and take away all of the pain I put you through. & just know that you won't have to worry about me any longer my love.

She hated how he used the word "us", as if it hurt him too. He had made the decision to leave, that problem wasn't on her.
The little girl started kicking. "Getting tight in there I bet huh?" She smiled.
Just because she wasn't on the best terms right now didn't mean she didn't miss Cameron. She missed him every second of every day, yet she wouldn't give in to call him and beg for him to come back. She thought it was cowardly.
She also worried that it would be unsafe for him, and her baby. Suddenly she felt her water burst. "Oh no." She thought.
She was two months early, and she was terrified that it would be too soon to have her. She quickly dialed Cameron's phone number with out thinking.
No answer.
She tried again.
Still, no answer.
"Damn you Cameron." She said aloud.
She then decided to dial 911 which was the more reasonable option.
"911 what's your emergency?"
"Umm Yeah... I think I'm in labor?"

Chino Hills, California
Little did Kirsten know, Cameron hadn't gone far when he had left her 7 months earlier. He had only returned to his hometown.
He thought about her a lot. He thought about going back to her various times, but something always held him back. Cameron wondered if she had, had her baby yet. He wondered if it was a little boy, or a little girl.
Suddenly he heard his phone ring.
It was Kirsten. He got nervous, thought too long, and declined the call.
His heart was beating a million miles a minute. Maybe this was his chance to get her back.
His phone began ringing again. But when he went to answer it, he couldn't bring himself to press the answer button.
He began wondering if it was an emergency. He tried calling back but the line was busy.
He tapped his fingers on his kitchen bar thinking. He tried calling again, no answer.
He tried once more.
"Hello? This is an L.A. Paramedic speaking."
"L.A. Paramedic? Why do you have my girl-" he stopped himself. He'd forgotten Kirsten wasn't his girlfriend anymore.
"Who is this?"
He heard whispering in the background, and waited for a reply.
"This is the phone of Kirsten Ray, is this Cameron Dallas speaking?" The paramedic asked.
Cameron nodded but then realized the paramedic couldn't see him through the phone. "Uh yes." He said frantically. "Is she okay?"
"Oh She's fine! She's having a baby!" She said cheerfully.
"CAMERON PLEASE JUST GET YOUR ASS TO THE HOSPITAL NOW PLEASE." Kirsten yelled in the background.
"What hospital?!" He asked the paramedic. She told him, and as fast as he could he sped towards the hospital. He didn't care that the last time they talked they had fought. He didn't care that he had walked out for a 2nd time. He didn't care that Jacob was threatening to kill him. He did care about Kirsten. He did care about his baby, and if Kirsten told him to "get his ass" there, he knew he'd better do it.
He arrived to the hospital, faster than he had imagined, and had beaten the ambulance there. When it arrived he ran to the side of her gurney, and grabbed her hand.
She made eye contact with him, and half smiled.
"You came.." She said.
"Well you called didn't you?.. You asked me to be here, so here I am."
She smiled, and then frowned again, when another contraction came through. "Ok sir were gonna have to ask you to stay here.
", said a man in a white coat who he assumed was a doctor.
Cameron squeezed her hand.
"I love you."he said.
"I love you too Cameron."
His hand slowly was pulled away out of hers, and they wheeled her into a delivery room, leaving Cameron behind the double doors.
