Lillian's pov
I was waiting for Kay in her room so we could go eat dinner I could feel depressing thoughts creeping into my brain like they always do when I'm not around anyone so I paced around the room thinking about good things like hanging out with Kay and then I ended up in the closet it was pretty big and i noticed a box in the corner 'had that always been there?' but then I heard "lily?" I walked out the closet "hey" I smiled she walked over gave me a kiss "sorry to make you wait" "it's ok" then we walked downstairs and ate dinner I'm not really sure who prepares the food but I know that everyone in Kay's pack eat at different times right now there was a twenty something guy named Lucas eating he had a long scar that started on the lower right side of his face and I don't know where it ended he doesn't talk much but has a pleasant voice he addressed me and Kay with a bow of his head
Katherine's pov
I saw lily mostly just moved her food around the plate but she was eating a lot more than before once I finished my food lily got my plate "I'll put them in the dishwasher" she said "oh thank you" I smiled she left to the kitchen "how have you been Lucas?" "good and you?" "been okay" he nodded "your mate seems to be a lot better" "yeah ...Lucas?" "yes Katherine?" "um well what do the other pack mates think of lily?" he looked like he was thinking "pity I guess" I was silent pondering on his answer till lily came back
Lillian's pov
Kay looked thoughtful and Lucas was still eating his food calmly i would think werewolves would be less peaceful eating Kay got up pushed her chair in smiling at me she took my hand and lead me outside the moon bright "I'm gonna take you out" Kay said grinning picking me up my legs and arms instinctively wrapping around her and before I knew it we where in front of the movie theatre I blushed "I didn't even get ready" I grumbled at her she brushed my hair behind my ear "you look perfect" I blushed a deeper shade and didn't say anything I just grabbed her hand she chuckled "your so cute" she kissed my cheek then we went to go our tickets "so what do you want to watch" she asked "um it doesn't really matter" so she asked the cashier guy what he would recommend and we ended up watching captain America I thought it was pretty good when we were outside "thank you Kay" I said with 100% sincerity then I kissed her softly "you're welcome" she said then her head jerked her now glowing eyes wide they were searching "babe what's wrong?" I asked I saw her eyes dim and she looked at me her voice tight "let's get you home" she glanced back then picked me up and flitted home we went straight to our room she locked the balcony's glass door which was a first making me very uneasy she closed the curtains "um here come with me" she held out her hand I took it and she went out the room we headed upstairs I knew this was her parents part of the house she knocked on the door her father answered he looked more intimidating than usual my hand tightened around Kay's she kissed his cheek then without words they headed to the living room part "I'll be back in second just sit tight okay?" I sat on the sofa and nodded she gave a nod then she went to another part of the floor with her father
Katherine's pov
I was in the kitchen with my father "alert the pack" my father said "confirmed hostiles?" I asked "yes" I nodded "will you join in the hunt?" "no I want to stay and guard lily" he dismissed me and flitted to lily she looked worried I stroked her face that helped to calm her then I took her to our room "I'll be right back" "...Kay" "less than a minute" then I closed the door hurrying to tell the pack to lock down the house and be ready for a fight then as fast as I could I went back to my room lily was on the bed arms hugging her legs I locked the door behind me "what is it or who?" "from the looks of it a pack looking to take our territory" lily looked down "are we safe?" she asked in a small voice I got on the bed in front of her "yeah don't worry I'll protect you" "okay ..I believe you but I'm really tired I'm going to bed" I kissed her forehead then moved out the she changed into some pajamas and borrowed into the covers it made me smile I watched as she fell into a deep slumber my ears wide open I stayed in high alert all night only letting my guard down when in the morning zach knocked on my door
