Rachel's POV -
I watched as Tom was dragged off by Jay, he was going to expose us and everyone was going to think he was some sort of bad boy that enjoyed seducing school girls.
I couldn't bare the thought of being without him, not after everything we had been through. It was always supposed to be me and Tom against the world, no one was supposed to ever come between us.
Guess that all went to waste though.
I collapsed down the wall, bringing my knees to my chest and allowing the tears to fall as I attempted to make myself feel slightly better; but it was no use.
I knew that this was all my fault and Tom was going to be the one that suffered - by lunch time, it would be the talk of the staff room and, by the end of the day, it would be the talk of the students.
Nothing ever stays secret for long in this school.
Everyone finds something out in their own little ways. Even if it happens to be the worst thing possible that they find out about.
"Rachel? What's happened?" I heard someone ask, I looked up to see Mr.Kaneswaran standing there with a concerned look on his face as he crouched down so that he was beside me.
"Nothing sir." I replied, wiping the tears away from my cheeks as I spoke and smiling up at him.
"Clearly there is something, or you wouldn't be in this state now." he sighed.
"Do you promise not to tell anyone?" I asked.
"Well, it depends on what it is. There are some things that I have no choice but to report, for your own safety..." Mr.Kaneswaran replied in a sympathetic tone.
"Please sir? I need you to promise that, no matter what I tell you, you won't tell anyone else?" I said, as the tears continued to silently roll down my cheeks now.
I needed to talk to someone that wasn't Mr.McGuiness or Nathan or Louise. I just needed to talk to someone that knew nothing about what had happened and would be able to help me, without wanting to get me into trouble.
"Let's go into my classroom, we can talk there?" he suggested with a gentle smile, offering a hand to help me up.
"Sleeping with him as well, are you?" Max laughed as he appeared from nowhere with a smug look on his face, his hands in his pockets and a bruise on his face; guess he must have got into a fight with someone.
More than likely it was a fight over Louise, he hated it when anyone else looked at her. He's been in more than one fight because of that, but that's nothing to do with me, he can do what he likes where Louise is concerned.
She is nothing to me anymore, and I don't need some bitch like her controlling me anymore and telling me what I can and can't do with my life, who I can and can't date and where I can and can't go.
"Please Max, just leave me alone." I replied.
"Well, you do get around quickly, don't you? First Mr.Parker, then Nathan and now Mr.Kaneswaran, who's next? Mr.McGuiness?" Max replied, still laughing at himself and what he was doing to me.
"What are you talking about?" Mr.Kaneswaran asked as he looked between me and Max, confusion written all over his face as he did so.
"She is sleeping with Mr.Parker and, adding to that, she's pregnant with his baby." Max replied, throwing his hands in the air and giving himself a round of applause for his actions now.
"Rachel? Is this true?" Mr.Kaneswaran questioned me.
"I'm going to murder you Max. How do you even know about that?" I shouted and I ran towards him, before Mr.Kaneswaran even had a chance to stop me, my fist had hit Max full in the face and he looked at me with shock. Like he never expected me to do something like that because he had never seen me in this mood before.
"So, you're not denying that you slept with Mr.Parker?" Mr.Kaneswaran questioned with a disappointed tone as he walked over to me, making sure that Max was alright and I hadn't done too much damage.
"Yes, it's true. I've been seeing Tom outside of school for a while now and we've slept together more than once. That's what I wanted to talk to you about." I replied as the tears streamed down my face and I couldn't even stop them from falling; the realisation was finally hitting me and it was only just hitting me now.
"Max, go and wait in Miss.Lake's room please. Rachel, follow me and we'll talk about this." Mr.Kaneswaran said, now not looking as helpful as he did when he first approached me.
I knew he was going to tell me what an idiot I was and how stupid I was for doing something like this, which isn't what I needed right now.
I just needed someone to listen to me and help me with what the right thing to do is; but that wasn't going to happen now.
"Yes sir." Max muttered as he picked himself up from the floor and wandered into Miss.Lake's room, giving me one last look before he disappeared into the room.
"I'm disappointed that you would do something like this Rachel, I thought you were more intelligent than that." Mr.Kaneswaran replied as we walked into his room and he closed the door behind him; I just took a seat at the nearest table and thought about what I was going to say.
"Look, me and Tom were together before he even came to this school, well, he left me, but then we got back together and he happened to be a teacher here. I couldn't help my feelings for him, I just loved him and needed him in my life. I know it's wrong, but, I just, without him, there's a hole in my heart and it doesn't seem right somehow." I sighed, looking to the ground and avoiding all eye contact with Mr.Kaneswaran now.
"And are you really pregnant with his child?" he questioned.
"It doesn't matter if I am, does it?" I replied.
"Rachel, answer me, are you pregnant with Tom's baby?" he asked again, this time he sounded even more disappointed with me.
"Please sir, just leave me alone, I don't need this right now. I know I'm stupid and I know it should never have happened, but it just did, and now everything is going to go wrong. Tom is going to be made to pay for something that was my fault." I said in pretty much a whisper.
"You know, once Tom's been reported, he won't be allowed anywhere near you again. And, if you are carrying his child, then you're never going to be able have a proper family with him. Is that really the life that you want?"
"Look, I'm just going to go home now. I don't need any of this right now. I'm sorry sir." I replied quickly before grabbing my bag and running out of the classroom.
I didn't even bother to look where I was going, I just ran out of the school as fast as I could, needing to get away from everything and everyone. It wasn't fair anymore. I'd just had enough and wanted something to actually go right for me, I don't see why that was too much for people to understand.
In fact, I was too busy running and my vision already blurred by my tears, that I couldn't really see where I was going. I ended up running into someone and falling over, landing on my bag.
"Rachel, what's happened?" they asked.
I looked up to see that it was Nathan I had run into and, once he had helped me up, I just hugged him and cried onto his shoulder; the tears just wouldn't seem to stop falling and they only got worse.
"Mr.McGuiness. He knows. He caught me and Tom." I said through the tears.
"Oh, Rachel, I'm sorry. Where is Tom now?" he replied, hugging me back in response.
"I don't know. But there's something else..." I muttered.
"What?" he asked.
"I..."
