Chapter 3 Truth Be told
Rayleta looked beaten up and looked like she was in a lot of pain. So Sand took her to the hospital.Before anything else caused, it would be more fatal. Once he had arrived , the doctors and nurses brought a stretcher rushing to her aid. He helped come up with a story to explain what had happened. They then rushed her with an iv and a breathing mask. Sand waited on the other side of the emergency doors. While they took her there.A couple hours went by till a nurse came out to the waiting room. Sand quietly stood up as she approached.
" She's going to be alright, she was injected with drugs that caused a lower damage to her heart if it became fatal. We were lucky to catch it in time and flooded it out."applied the nurse.
" May I see her, I am a close friend and I know only family can but please?" He asked quietly.
The nurse smiled and replied," Sand, You have a connection I could feel it once you brought her here, Right this way."
Sand followed the nurse to the room where Rayleta was placed in. Sand then looked at her through the window as the nurse opened the door. Not before long he followed behind her quietly yet quickly into the room. There was a chair right by her , that he didn't hesitate to sit next in. Rayleta's hand rested peacefully next to her. He lifted it gently and entwined it with his.
"I will let you be alone for a while I will go ahead and contact her family." said the nurse as she walked out shortly after.
Sand completely forgot to call the gang. He then put her hand to his lips and held it there as he gently brushed hair as her peaceful face slept.Not moments later both Lux and Rain came barrelling into the room, breathing heavy as if they rushed over.
Lux said in a slight tone," Oh my god, what happened to her?"
Rain tried to hush Lux down a little as Sand stood up still holding Rayleta's hand and replied,"Abalic drugged her and gun pointed her forcing her through the force field she is very lucky to be very much alive.
"Still your lucky Kitsune found me or I would be ripping your throat out, You know well enough to report to me about this." Lux said pinning him to the wall.
Rain grabbed Lux's shirt collar and Lux released Sand from his grip. Lux then mumbled ," I'll kill him for harming her, I will be right back when she's able to come home."
"Hes already dead." mumbled Sand to himself.
Lux talked to the doctors and the nurse while signing the release papers. Then watched Sand and Rayleta from the window of her room. Just then Kitsune walked up with her clipboard.
Kitsune watched as well and said," Looks like it's all a dangerous beginning for her isn't it. Only to think the guardian of time would rescue her,looks like your over protective of her."
Lux replied," There is something mysterious about their connection though, I knew someone was searching for her , from what I don't know completely. While with you of course. But it's going to be a tough one to crack."
Kitsune bit her lip as she continued," You have grown very close to her since considering she really not your sister."
Lux said ," yeah it's the brother in me , I have a family to care for right now. But that's not gonna stop thinking of her safety on top of that Rains" He then turned to kitsune, while his hand landed on her stomach.
Kitsune turned towards him and smiled. She then replied," She will be able to be discharged soon, Ray that is. She will need a lot of rest, she healed quickly and painfully."
Lux then turned again, back to view Rayleta. She was awake and smiling at Sand. She even was giggling even more. Lux then hugged Kitsune. Kitsune caught eye contact with Rayleta and gave her the most devilish grin. But before Lux released the hug she went back to a smile. He then kissed her on the cheek and then walked back in. Kitsune watched then watched a little longer with an ice cold stare. It was directly at Rayleta. But the moment Rayleta quickly glanced towards her , Kitsune quickly glanced away and continued to walk away.
Rayleta sat in the hospital with Lux and Sand , along with Rain of course. A few more hours went by till she was able to finally be discharged. Lux had given Sand permission to take her home, due to him going to be home late. He possibly would be out all night.
Sand brought her and Rain home safely. He made sure nobody came in or out of the apartment. The promise between Sand and Lux was to protect her while he was gone, probably hanging out with Kitsune. But no matter Sand gets to be around Rayleta.That same night he even passed out on their couch. Rain happened to notice and put a blanket over him.
Rain then looked around at the both of Sand and Rayleta , She turned off the lights and went to bed herself.A couple hours went by and only the wall clock made noise. When there was a sudden loud pound on the door. Luckily it only woke up Sand. He slowly walked over and opened the door. There was only a package.
Sand grumbled while picking up the small squared package and set it on the table.He then went to check on Rayleta. Who happened to be sound asleep in her bed, once again. He smiled as he brushed his fingers through her hair gently. Hours went by and another noise went by happening to awake him again after he fell asleep again.He quietly got up and looked over to the dining table to find Lux sitting there. He looked beat'n up and had the smell of blood in his own clothing.
Lux was looking at something on the dining table and it wasn't the box. As Sand got closer he noticed they were files, Lux was glaring at. He sat down looking at both Lux and the flies. Lux was glued to them.
Lux shook his head and said," I knew it , the horrors of my father had placed upon our heads, My sister , to Rayleta,even you. What more has he hidden?"
Rain came out, when both the men looked over and replied," Well Lux, could you keep it down it's like 4:00 in the morning."
Sand quietly said," Your brother found personal records on us, for odd reason your father had them."
" Personal ...... Records?" Rayleta's voice came out of nowhere.
Lux raised the files up to show Rayleta.But she still looked confused."What the hell , why does he have these? what are those?" she asked while trying to get her eyes to fully focus.
Lux wasn't amused as his smartass reply," like I said your personal ... records of who you are."
The tone Lux had was also irritating beyond belief; it only confused Rayleta more.
Rayleta replied," If you want an explanation , I don't know what those are or who provided then."
"It's complicated reasons, he shouldn't went looking for them,we were suppose to protect you. Rayleta do you remember anything that happened last night?" Sand asked carefully.
Rayleta's expression didn't change as she looked at Sand. Her reply was hesitant," All I remember is, I was sitting down on your couch in your apartment ,and next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital."
Lux glanced turned cold and focused on Sand," ........ Sand what was she doing on your couch?" He suddenly asked.
Rain got him to cool down with a harsh tone," Hush Lux , Rayetta went over for a cup of coffee , just as friends. that doesn't matter."
Sand chuckled with his face flushed." yeah ..... hahaha.... friends .... moving on." He said avoiding Lux's gaze.
Rayleta noticed him blushing and blushed herself as examined the outside the files. She suddenly felt nervous. Her gaze upon pages made it more difficult to stomach
Rayleta frowned and said,"Unknown , Unknown across each page, deceased across children's pictures , the poor thing."
Lux sighed and said," Look at the name at the top, man you're clueless."
"Relax, it's 4:45 am I am not awake." She said in a snake like tone.
She then looked at the top of the page. Which read Rayleta Marcel Airis Dawn. The notes were detailed , old smelling had a tint of dry blood mix with pine and dust. There was pictures of her growing up with either unknown or terminated location on it. It had an image of a gulfed inflamed willow tree and scorched field.
Rayleta stuttered," H... How?" There was a sudden flashback of young Lux and her figure in a cellar. " You were there .... in the cellar." She said continuing.
Lux turned the chair around before explaining," Ray, those files and identify are yours it seems.your not mortal neither are we."
Sand said," Could've said it differently, But otherwise then that Lux and Rain aren't your siblings, they are also different than you and I. "
