Scott was sitting on his bed, reading an email from his parents, when Mitch walked out of the bathroom with a frown on his face.
Scott glanced up at him, the sadness not really registering because of how upset he was at his parents.
Mitch sat down next to him, as close as he could possibly be. "Alpha...?"
Scott didn't look away from the screen. "Yeah, babe?"
Mitch pouted at him. "Alpha."
"Yes, honey?"
"Alpha." He whined.
Scott turned to him for a second. "What, Mitch?"
Mitch just blinked at him. "Well, excuse me. Nevermind then."
Scott grabbed his arm when he tried to stand up and leave. "I'm sorry, Sweetie. I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm just reading this thing from my parents. It's complete bullsh-- Um. It's stupid. And it's making me angry. But I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I'm sorry."
Mitch smiled a little and took the laptop from Scott's lap, moving it to sit on the bedside table.
Mitch then sat on his lap. "Alpha?"
"Yes, honey?"
"I don't feel so good."
Scott's face changed completely when he became more concerned. "What? What's wrong?"
Mitch frowned. "My tummy hurts."
"Oh, my poor baby. Why does it hurt? Have you eaten enough today?"
Mitch shrugged, looking down at his stomach. "Maybe. I don't know."
"Well I think we skipped lunch, didn't we? I think you and Kirstie grabbed a snack but it must not have been enough. You must be hungry. Come on, I'll make you something to eat." Scott tried to stand, but Mitch clung to his front.
Scott stood anyway, Mitch holding himself on Scott's body like a baby.
Mitch fell down though, his feet thudding on the floor. "I'm too hungry to hold myself. Help me?"
"That's such a lie. But I'll carry you anyway, baby." Scott replied with a smirk.
Mitch giggled and then smiled when Scott lifted him by the back of his thighs to hold him on his hip, the way Mitch loves.
Scott smiled at him, but his smile faded all of a sudden.
Mitch stopped smiling too. "What's wrong?"
"You're a little pale, Mitchie. Are you sure it's just your stomach?"
Mitch nodded. "I just need food. Please?"
Scott nodded reluctantly, and carried him out to the living room to find the kitchen.
Kevin and Todrick were still doing paperwork at the table, while Jake and Alex watched a police television show on the couch.
Mitch gasped when he saw the T.V. "I love that show!"
Scott smiled and walked over, holding Mitch under his arms to set him on Alex's lap.
Mitch eyed Alex and Jake nervously, not wanting to interrupt anything, but Alex smiled at Mitch and pulled Mitch down to lay on top of him.
Scott turned to walk to the kitchen, but stopped at the dining room table.
He walked behind the two Betas, stopping behind Kevin to massage his temples. "You doing alright, Genius?"
Kevin nodded, but subtly relaxed into Scott's touch. "Thank you."
Scott nodded and stopped after a few seconds, moving on to Todrick. "What about you, Toddy?"
"Just fine, thank you."
"Good. We need you two to stay in tip top shape. Let me know if there's anything I can do." Scott massaged his temples as well for a few seconds, and then turned to leave the room.
Todrick watched him go, and then turned to Kevin. "What a nice guy."
"I know."
"How can an Alpha like that, get in so many arguments with other people?"
Kevin hummed, flipping over a few papers until he found what he was looking for. "Well... Sometimes people take advantage of his kindness. And Scott picks up on it pretty quick, so then he fights back, y'know? It can get ugly. Especially with his Omega."
"Mitch? He talks back?" Todrick questioned in disbelief.
Kevin shrugged, still not looking over at him. "I mean.. Yeah.. I'm not gonna lie about it. It's who he is. Not all Male Omegas are little rays of sunshine like Alex. Some of them stand up for themselves occasionally. Mitch is one of them. And Scott is the perfect Alpha to handle someone like that."
Todrick nodded once, curtly. "Fair enough."
*******
Scott was now standing next to Kirstie, watching Avi cook.
Scott leaned down towards her. "It's a miracle really, that he hasn't burned anything yet."
She giggled back, wanting to play along. "I know. A gift from God."
Scott smirked. "Now if we could just teach him how to clean..."
"The perfect little house maid!"
Scott chuckled at that. "Then we can get him a skirt and everything."
Avi finished stirring the dish he was working on and turned to glare at them. "Scott, please stop corrupting my Omega into saying such rude things."
Scott held up his hands in surrender. "Just a joke. I didn't even tell her to say those things."
Avi grabbed a dishtowel and whipped it in Scott's direction. "Get out of my kitchen!"
Scott laughed and jumped out of the way. "Gonna have to be quicker than that, Kaplan."
Avi laughed too, whipping the towel again, this time catching Scott's thigh.
Scott jumped away. "Is that all you've got?"
It all happened so fast. Avi whipping the towel at him, Kirstie telling him to watch out as soon as Scott jumped out of the way, and then all of a sudden, Scott and Alex were on the kitchen floor.
Scott had jumped right into Alex, knocking him over, which made Scott lose his own balance and fall over as well.
They both hit the ground with a bang.
Scott jumped up. "Oh God, I'm sorry. Are you okay?"
Alex giggled and nodded sitting up straight. "Yeah. That was weird."
Scott set one hand on each side of Alex's face, gently turning his head to check for injuries.
Alex smiled widely and pulled Scott's hands from his face. "I'm fine, I promise."
Scott stood up, offering a hand for Alex to help him off the floor. "I'm sorry, again. I'm really sorry."
Alex turned to speak with Todrick, while Avi went back to his cooking.
Avi grabbed Scott's arm before he could leave. "I'm sorry, Rookie. I shouldn't have been messing around."
"It's fine. We're both fine."
Avi looked to Kirstie for a quick second, and then looked back to Scott. "Hey, is Mitchell feeling okay? He looks a little pale."
"I think he ate something wrong. He said it's because he's hungry, but we both know if that were the case he'd be throwing himself at me. Maybe he just... Ate a bad breakfast?"
"We all ate the same thing that he ate."
"Then what's wrong with him?"
Avi hummed. "My best guess? I know he and Kirstie walked over to that snack table more than once. Must have disagreed with his stomach."
Scott nodded slowly. "That's fair. I'm going to go ask what he ate."
Scott walked over to the couch, where Alex had sat back down, he and Jake both tickling Mitch's sides for some reason that Scott must've missed.
Mitch was laughing at first, until Scott had nearly gotten to him, and then Mitch's face went completely blank, and he became almost more pale.
Jake stopped tickling him, and pulled Alex's arms away too.
Scott rushed over in an instant, pulling Mitch off of the couch and rushing as quickly as he could into the closest bathroom he could find.
Mitch had almost gotten to the toilet, but he lost it too soon, throwing up all over the bathroom floor.
Mitch stepped over what he'd done, and then dropped to his knees in front of the toilet to throw up again.
Scott followed him, squatting down to tuck Mitch's bangs behind his ear, just in time for Mitch to throw up into the toilet once more.
Scott rubbed his back, whispering things into his ear. "You're okay, honey. It's going to be okay."
Mitch took a deep breath and then leaned back a little, plopping down onto his rear to lean into Scott's side.
"Are you okay?"
Mitch just nodded, allowing Scott to wipe his lips with a small hand towel he'd grabbed off of the counter.
Scott tried to kiss him, but Mitch turned his head. "Don't. I'm all gross."
"You're not gross, honey. You're just sick."
Mitch stood up on wobbly legs, Scott following him quickly.
Mitch started walking, but stopped when he saw the mess on the floor. "Oh God... I'm sorry. I'll clean that as soon as possible."
Scott kissed the back of his neck. "I'll clean it, baby. Just go brush your teeth in our bathroom."
Mitch frowned. "But... This is my fault."
"Mitchie. Go."
