Teaser: Excerpt from Chapter 8
“Whoa there, freshie. In a bit of a rush aren’t you?” I stared up, yes up, at the guy whom I accidentally bumped into.
“My bad,” I mumbled, feeling slightly flustered. When a very confused girl bumps into a very nice looking guy, you would immediately begin to think that they would fall in love. You know, love at first sight.
That definitely did not happen here. So much for that theory.
“You look very, very lost.” He peered down at me, his brown skater hair flopped over his eyes in a very boyish manner. He was tall for his age, thus making me feel even more shorter than usual. His dark jeans and black t-shirt brought out his lean frame. Over it was a leather jacket. One hand was loosely holding a skateboard, and I rolled my eyes. So cool… I thought sarcastically. He had large, brown eyes that inspected me very closely. Feeling slightly like a museum exhibit, I backed away from him.
“Well, I feel very, very lost,” I bit back before I had a chance to think.
“Does the little, tiny freshie need some help from a fellow freshie as sexy and amazing as me?” He used a taunting tone, running a hand through his hair. “I think I can take some time out my busy schedule to help a little lost damsel in distress.” He snapped out his cell phone and pretended to check the time.
“No thanks.” I glared stubbornly at him. Egotistical much?
“I take that as a yes,” He immediately grabbed on tightly to my hand, and started pulling me forward. Slightly flustered at the sudden touch, I pulled my hand back and glowered at him.
“You can actually take that as a no,” I retorted, pushing ahead of him.

Prologue:
**WARNING** This is in no way a fairytale.
I would love to say it were though. I'd love to say that I am in fact a beautiful, flawless princess who is swept away by this grand prince to a kingdom far, far away, where only happiness and true love existed. I would love to say how I am actually a child genius, with an IQ that would make Einstein jealous. It'd be great if I could say I worked hard, day in and out, and managed to be the youngest billionaire at age fifteen. I'd love it if I could say that I was actually a witch, and had to save Earth from a certain doom. Or that I was the most beautiful maiden in the entire world and everyone loved me. But if I said all of this, I would be lying. In fact, I could be lying to you right now.
"Once upon a time there was a princess, and that specific beautiful princess was me. She was a genius and a billionaire and also she had certain magical powers..."
But I decided not to. Why waste my breath? That would be lying. I doubt there is a single person out there who has never told a lie. Even a simple, white lie. It is so common, some of us spew them daily without even taking a second thought. Lying, a common happening, like in the game Truth or Dare.
If you ever played the game, Truth or Dare, you should know how it goes. They ask a question, Truth or Dare. Personally, I think truth is the harder of the two.
One, because you never know whether the person may or may not be lying.
Two, if you pick truth, you feel horrible if you lie.
Three, they always reveal something about you, if they ask the right question.
