**Winter time 2006**
*Zacky's POV*
Today we were filming some of the parts for our 'All Excess' DVD. This was gonna give the fans a chance to see just how we are and virtually all the history of Avenged Sevenfold. We had already done the interviewed parts yesterday and today we were roaming through Huntington on a typical day off, only with camera crews following us everywhere.
We were all piled into Matt's SUV as we drove through the city remembering all the good things of the past. We passed in front of the old laundromat where Jimmy used to work and sleep sometimes. It were those stories that always broke my heart hearing. I hated the fact that Jimmy jumped from home to home or slept in his car at times.
The next thing we pull up to good ole Huntington High School. Not. As we walked around it was like all the memories flooded back. The commons area brought back one of the funniest memories of all. My band MPA (Mad Porno Action) was asked to perform and we just choked. It was bad.
But it was also one of the places where the school's biggest fight broke out and everyone - well except for Cami since she was hiding behind a wall - pretty much got a mass detention. It was epic! I remember leaving school that day with dried blood on my shirt that had come from my busted nose. Those were the good ole days. Things were so much simpler and easier.
--FLASHBACK--
Today was the first day of high school. Camille said that Jeremy was going to bring her to school since she was nervous about her first day back at school. I walked through the halls trying to see if any of my friends were here yet. The guys wouldn't be here until one minute till the bell, so I knew they weren't here.
I saw this curly-red haired chick standing in the middle of the hallway like she was lost. She looks like Camille a little bit. But it can't be her, she's in eigth grade, not high school. As I got closer she turned and it was Cami. Hmm that's weird, what is she doing here?
"Are you lost?" I said making her jump.
"Zachary Baker don't do that to me!" She said grinning and punching my arm playfully - yet it still hurt. She may be tiny, but she packs a punch.
"Sorry Cami. Hey what are you doing here anyway aren't you starting eight grade?"
"Well I thought so too, but when I got to school they told me that I was academically promoted to ninth because I'm so smart." She said tapping the side of her head. I knew she was smart, I just didn't think that she was THAT smart. Guess I was wrong.
"That's awesome Cami! Lemme see your schedule. Well just as I thought, the only class we have together is homeroom and lunch." She looked kind of sad but hey not all of us can be super smart 13 year olds.
I gave her a quick tour of school so she wouldn't be too lost finding her classes then led her to homeroom since the bell rung. Thankfully we all had the same homeroom and it was going to be that way for the next four years.
"Cami what are you doing here?!" Brian and Matt said at the same time.
"She's super duper smart and she got promoted to being a freshman." They all looked at her and then started teasing her a bit about being a kid genius. I kinda started feeling bad for her since I knew she was going to get hell from not only the guys but from a shit ton of people around here. No worries though we got her back.
--END OF FLASHBACK--
After looking through the school we headed back to the truck and headed over to the infamous Johnny's Bar. Now this was the place where you could drink when you're 16, or at least back then you could.
Johnny was rambling on how he projectile vomited everywhere on one of his 'heavy' nights of drinking. Johnny (the bar owner) wasn't too thrilled and actually made him clean up his own puke that night. It was hilarious but he also deserved it after what he did.
A waitress came around passing us all shots which we took and downed for all the memories this bar gave us. Some good others, well, not so good.
Once we left the bar Jimmy and Brian decided to call it Beach Day. Now our Beach Day wasn't us going to the beach to swim and all that junk. What our beach day consisted us sitting on the beach getting drunk off our asses.
Matt soon pulled into a convenient store where Johnny decided to each buy us 40s. But of course short shit couldn't handle them all and dropped one. We were all laughing our asses off cause he couldn't do one simple task. Poor Johnny.
When he got back to the truck the picking started. We always gave Johnny gave a hard time, but it only made the kid stronger. I mean he could have left us years ago, but nope he's still here.
Our next stop was Central Park. We used to spend so much time here as kids. If we weren't at Matt's or Cami's we were here messing with people. Jumping out of the bushes terrorizing the runners to playing on the swing sets. Jimmy, Brian, and Johnny told me and Matt to meet them at the old spot. To be honest, I don't even remember where the old spot is.
The next thing we hear across the park is Jimmy yelling at some duck or whatever.
"Look at the size of that duck! Look it! Come here you fucking Stallion duck!" Man The Rev was one crazy dude. But he's our brother and we wouldn't want him any other way.
We all met up at some spot in the park about 15 minutes later. It was cold for this time of year especially in Huntington Beach. I was bundled up in my blue coat, gloves, and hat and I was still getting cold. Fuck!
Matt decided to head back to his house to show the crew his garage. I pulled out my phone and texted Cami to meet us there. Today was one of the few days that I haven't seen Cami. I mean there were like maybe 2 tours she didn't go on with us and it drove us all nuts. Jimmy couldn't keep himself together for the month that we were touring.
It's been going great between us too. She's been helping us write some new stuff for our next album and suggested that we self produce the next record. She's so smart it scares me sometimes.
We got to Matt's a couple minutes later and I smiled when I saw her car parked on the side of the street. I get to see my baby girl.
*Camille's POV*
Today was spa day for me and Val. We realized that we've been with the guys for too long and that we needed some much needed girl time. We called up Leana, Michelle, and Lacey and told them to meet us at the spa at 8:30.
I picked up Val and drove to the spa. If you didn't know already Leana is dating Jimmy (the two wild and crazy ones together) and Lacey is dating Johnny (yes short shit got a girl, and she's shorter than him!). Plus Lacey is my cousin so she would always come to me if she had questions about the band or panicked over not being able to tour with them.
We got to the spa a few minutes later and the relaxation started as soon as we walked through the door. We all decided on deep tissue massages, facial, and got our hair and nails done. I got changed into the purple silk robe and headed towards my masseuse.
I laid down on the table and saw that we were all in the same room getting our massages done. My masseuse came over and started giving me the most relaxing deep-tissue massage ever. It felt like the last few tours and all my secrets were rubbed away. The girls all knew about me going to school and my tattoos, but I still have yet to tell the guys.
30 minutes later I woke up from the nap I ended up taking while I was getting my massage. It felt so good and I really was relaxed. Next up was facials. As I was getting it done I could help but wonder how I was going to tell the guys about my secrets. Zacky had already found out about my tattoo that I got when I was 18, mainly due to the fact that it was eating me away not telling him, but still.
After facials we all changed back into our normal clothes and went over to the adjoining salon to get our hair and nails done. Since I was too attached to my hair color - I mean it's naturally red and I didn't want to lose it - I just got a trim and got a perm to boost my natural curls. Val touched up her roots, Lacey got some read and blonde highlights, Michelle got blonde highlights all over, and Leana got blue, purple, and red in her hair.
We got our manies and peddles and headed our separate ways. Thank god Val and I decided on this. It was much overdue. As I started the engine my phone went off saying that I got a new text. It was from Zacky telling me to meet him and the guys at Matt's.
So we drove off to Matt's but when we got to his house, they weren't there. Val and I decided to go spend time with his parents and raid their fridge since we hadn't had lunch yet. We walked in and headed straight for the kitchen.
"You girls hungry?" Mrs. Kim surprised us while Val was pulling out a carton of juice and I was pulling out the left over pizza box.
"Sure are!" Val said while grabbing plates and cups for us. I loved Matt's parents. They were so sweet and supportive and would give you the shirt off your back if need be.
"Well girls, you know where everything is. Oh and the boys should be back anytime now. They're filming that DVD thing today, just in case you guys didn't know that already." Mrs. Kim
"Thanks!" Me and Val said at the same time. So that's where they were. I had completely forgotten about the All Excess DVD.
We grabbed our food and headed towards the couch. There was a James Bond movie on so we settled on that till we heard the garage door opening. Guess the guys were back from whatever they were doing the whole day. We finished eating and decided to head there since we hadn't seen them all day.
"Well if it isn't Hermoine Granger!" Well they succeeded in getting Jimmy drunk.
"Yeah and if you piss me off I'll make you a toad." That got a round of laughs out of everybody. So I walked over to Jimmy gave him a hug and walked over to Zack.
"Did you guys have fun today?" I asked him wrapping my arms around him and pulling him into a hug and earning a kiss.
"*chuckles* Yeah Jimmy got drunk as you can tell and pretty much just went all around town today." We kept an arm around each other's waists as they told us what all they did.
"So what did you girls do today?" Brian asked us.
"Girl things. We went do our hair and got massages and all that good stuff." Brian got a grin on his face probably thinking of us getting massages. "Brain Elwin Haner Jr. get that look off your face. If you really want to think that way, then go see Michelle."
"Well you know what, I think that's good idea." He said getting up and walking to his car. Ugh why do some guys have to be so horny all the time.
It was 8:30 before we left the garage. The Rev was passed out in a corner, Johnny and Zack were getting their last smokes in, and Matt and Val were starting to yawn. We said our goodbyes and Zacky and I headed to my car to go home.
I handed him my keys since he was almost begging to drive. We got home practically two minutes later. Zack led me inside and gave me a goodnight kiss. Well let's just say that things were getting heated between us and we headed upstairs.
"Zack… Zack… I… I can't." I said in between his kisses. Trust me my head was telling me 'DO IT! DO IT!' But there was also an alarm going off. And yes before you jump to conclusions, I've never had sex and I'm actually terrified to have it too. I trusted Zack, but still there could be something that could go wrong in the blink of an eye.
"*grinning & chuckling* Cami it's ok. I won't force you to do anything. If you want to wait, believe me babe I'll wait." I pulled him down for one last kiss before snuggling into his tattooed arms and chest. I started tracing his deathbat while he was tracing my treble clef. The next thing I know he's singing me a 'lullaby' and I fall asleep to the most amazing man in the world.
