I started crawling over to her
My heart was pounding and my eyes were over flowing with tears
"C-c-connie!!"
I push on her
"Connie are you ok?" I sniffled and wiped away a tear
She groaned
I decided to turn her over
"Connnie!!!" I screamed and rested my face on her chest
I kept sobbing
She was holding her stomach and she was bleeding ..
"Connie, i-i im so sorry"
"Steven" she coughed
I gasped
"Connie, connie whats wrong"
"Please *cough* please heal me"
My eyes widen
"OH yea!! Ok ok" i sniffled
"Give me a second"
I licked my hand and rubbed them across her cut..
She winced in pain and pushed me off her
"Steven!!!" I turn my head seeing all the gems running after me.
"we have to leave now!!"
They grab mine and connie's hand and drag us to the warp pad..
The whole time connie was crying and screaming in pain..
I was crying too
When we got back to the house the gems set connie on the couch
"Owww" connie said in a crying tone
I kneel next to her
"Take her to the hospital.." Garnet said sternly
"Let her mom deal with this.."
"But..but garnet.. I can HeAl her!!"
"Not this time...take her .. NOW!"
I cowered back and then lifted connie and started running to my dad's van
"Dad take us to the hospital now!!l"
He groaned like he just woke up
"Buts is mondayyyyyyyyy.. You drive.."
I jumped in the car with connie in my lap
"Drive..nOw!!" I grinned my teeth
"Alright alright..."
"Thank you.."
"So whats the rush sport"
He looked over at me and connie
"oh mY GOd!!!"
"Yea..." I said holding on to her trying to keep you comfortable
"Ho...how did this happen!!"
"I didn't protect her, i pushed her to keep going and got her hurt... "
Tears started to roll down my face
"Cheer up Steven, at least her here now, protecting her"
"Dad you don't getting it" i slammed my fist on the dash bored
"Huh?"
"I-i made her keep going! She was scared an-and i nearly killed her!!"
I sniffled
"And i cant even save her.."
My dad kept quiet and looked forward
We eventually pulled up the emergency door and i picked connie up and ran inside
"I need a doctor now!!!"
I looked down at connie she started to go limb
"Connie!!"
"Right this way sir!!"
They rushed us to a room and asked mw to set connie on a table
"Your going to need to leave sir"
"No i cant leave her!!"
"You have too!!"
I was dragged out of the room and put in a waiting room
I was shaking

Am i dead..
Is is this a dream..?
My eye sight was blurry and i could see lights everywhere and people all around me
I heard load noises
Then
My eyes closed..
I think I'm dreaming
"Mom...?"
"Steven?"
No one was answering..
I started to cry..
Why am i in pain..it burns
I want Steven.. I need him.. I
I don't wanna be all alone..
The last thing i remember is the gems taking me to their house
Everything else was a blur to me
I think I'm waking up..
"Connie.."
"Connie!"
"cONNIe!"
I wake up and see Steven over me , crying
"St-Steven.."
"Oh god connie.."
He lays on me and hugs me and cries
into my chest
I hug him back
"I thought i lost you"
I smiled and then start crying too
I started to realized where i was and felt my stomach
It was painful
I hug Steven even tighter
I look over to see my mom washing her hands
"M-mom"
"Hello connie"
She walked over to me
I sat up quickly and hugged her tightly and cried harder
"Thank you"
"You were fine connie.."
"Wha..?"
Steven and i look at her confused
"Well you were bleeding yes..but you were healing .. You just needed 15 stitches.. It was strange.. During the process of fixing you.. Your skin started fusing together.."
"Wait..so she was healing.." Steven asked
"Yes i guess so.."
He started laughing
"So i do still work!! Haha take that garnet.."
"Rrrrrrright.. Away you guys can go now.."
"Really?"
"Yup.."
"Thanks mom!"
I wobbled to get up and Steven helped me
He started crying with happiness and so did i
He hugged me and kissed me
And i kissed back
"Im so glad you're ok"
"Me too"
I rested my hand on his cheeks
And he put his hands in mine
I laid my nose on his and softly smiled
So did he
I leaned in slowly and kissed him again
"Thank you.. For being my hero..and protecting me.."
He blushed and hugged me again and started tearing up and so did i
"You're welcome"
